Its Me
I waited a long time to pick up my cat after "routine" teeth cleaning. The technician who carried and handed my cat to me, was crying. Visibly shaken, she encouraged me repeatedly to come back if there were any problems with my cat. Long story short, my cat mistakenly received one year AND three year rabies vaccinations. He was extremely ill - from kidney failure. Consultation, Subsequent tests and treatments required from two new vets, pointed to the true probability that my cat "seized or bled profusely" during the teeth cleaning. My cat died several brutally painful months later. I filed a complaint with the state, citing numerous concerns. Even though I proved my cat was harmed in the care of Advanced Animal Hospital, it was in vain. The "doctor " who introduced himself to me, and walked off with my beloved cat - the one who performed anesthesia (and unknown additional actions) - was not licensed to practice anywhere in the U.S. - and had vanished before the state began a malpractice investigation. The owner of Advanced, who hired the unlicensed doctor, and advertised this employee as a DVM, was not held accountable by the state. (Nor was he apologetic.). Always seek trusted friends personal vouchers when it comes to choosing the veterinarian who will be caring for your cherished fur babies.

While finding a vet you trust with your furkids lives can be difficult in general, finding one you not only trust, but is incredibly knowledgeable in exotics, is near impossible. I did my research when looking to establish a new vet for my two rabbits, and I couldnt feel luckier to have found Dr. Gordon at Advanced Animal Hospital on Loomis. His passion is not only apparent through his expertise, but also through his patience with both the animal and its owner. On numerous occasions he has come out to the waiting room to check on my two when we were just in for a nail trim. He takes the time to explain both diagnostic and behavioral concerns, thoroughly answering questions and never making you feel rushed. Messages left with the front desk staff (who are also awesome) are always returned promptly, often directly from Dr. Gordon. Recently, I brought a rabbit I was watching in for a nail trim, and it was determined further care was needed. Dr. Gordon immediately tended to the rabbit, even with a full waiting room. His ability to recognize an animals urgent needs and do his best to rearrange his schedule to help, reaffirms my belief that my rabbits are in the best hands possible.

I brought a cat in to our long time animal hospital (another animal hospital), and after looking at our cat for 20 seconds, the vet pronounced that she would have to be put down. With no tests and no evaluation, and no information as to why she needed to be put down, I decided to seek a second opinion with a thorough evaluation. I decided to take her to Advanced for a thorough evaluation and tests to see if putting her down was actually the real solution. After the tests and evaluations indicated she needed to be put to sleep, I felt peace of mind knowing that all tests to find other options were done and that putting her to sleep was the right medical decision based on testing and evaluation at Advanced, not just a 20 second "look-see" at our other vet. Her sleep was peaceful and all the best compassion was shown to us in the process. Advanced has now earned our trust and we have now changed our vets because of their compassionate care for us and for our cat Augusta.

My best friend Bruno was throwing up pooping blood and not eating at all. We took him to Crawford Animal Hospital after being charged $700.00 they sent Bruno home and told us to give him a over the counter adult antacid. After a week Bruno stopped drinking water and had the same issues. So we scheduled an appointment with Advanced we called at 6p they got him in asap in the morning. After running tests it turns out my best friend was very sick. They kept him over night calling updating me on his progress. They did everything in there power they could but his kidneys were failing and his body temperature was dropping. Unfortunately we had to put him down. They worked with us financially. They were so compassionate with everything. I will never take our animals anywhere else. Advanced Animal Hospital treats your animals like they are their own. Great Place

I took my 2 month old puppy there because it was throwing up, had diarrhea and was not eating any food. They looked her over and gave me $50 worth of medicine and I/D puppy food that the vet said the puppy would "gobble" up. Well, the next day my puppy still wouldnt eat and was throwing up even more. I ended up taking her somewhere else where she tested positive for Parvo. I cant believe they didnt even ask for a stool sample, I brought one in on my own, and they never even tested for the Parvo but did say it was a concern. Very dissapointed with them and I will never take my cat or puppy back there. All they care about is money. They have no concern for your animals and the receptionist is rude and has no animal knowledge what-so-ever.

The first time ever going to this vet is when our youngest dog was having severe stomach issues. I called our then regular vet and explained to them the severity of the situation and they told me to come in 2 days. I know it was a last minute call but 2 days? I honestly thought my dog didnt have two days left. We called Advanced Animal Hospital and they told me to bring in our dog right away. They were so kind to her and calmed me down and ever since this awesome experience they are now our regular vet. Everyone is so nice, accommodating, knowledgeable, and they take such good care of our 2 dogs!! They even call a few days after a vet visit to check to see how the dogs are doing! It really shows they care.

My dog had a Postule or wart on his cheek that bursted and oozed out blood and fluids. I noticed him in distress trying to itch the painful spot and licking up all the blood. It wouldnt stop bleeding so I just went to Advanced Animal Hospital as it is 2 minutes away, signed up , they let me know it would be a bit as there were scheduled appointments . Dr. Willkom treated my dog and they shaved it , cleaned it up and gave me ointment to put on it for 7-10 days plus he has to wear his E-Collar for at least 7-10 days. I am very happy with the treatment and service my dog Cash and I recieved plus we didnt have to wait very long for him to be seen ! Thank you :-)

My cat had to tragically get his leg amputation in an emergency incident and Dr. Vivek Kalirawana was absolutely incredible. He has been available for all my crazy questions and was very very thorough with explaining the procedure and care I had to provide post-surgery. I would recommend Dr. K to absolutely anyone. Its apparent during visits that he has a love for animals. Sue who is at the front desk most days is a doll and makes a point to create relationships with the pet owners. I could be slightly bias since they did save the life of my cat and I saw them every other day for over a week, however, all in all, Im glad I went no where else.
