I recently took my dog to their Riverdale location to be neutered. He seemed to be fine when we took him home, but the next day he had an allergic reaction to the pain medication they had prescribed. His eyes were red and swollen, and his ears were bright red and hot. I instantly recognized that it was the medication and asked my boyfriend to take him back to the community pet hospital due to the fact that I had work. Instead of just prescribing a medication that he would take to better they accused my boyfriend of abuse and then did several blood tests, one of which looking for rat poison. I am no doctor, but they charged me for 165 dollars worth of testes, after the 260 dollars I had given them for the previous days help, to tell me what I already knew and then prescribed him a different pain medication. Any non-money hungry individual with some common sense would have added up the fact that he had just had surgery at your location and was on pain medication that you prescribed and then decided it was an allergic reaction. I will never go back there again. They wrongly offended my boyfriend and in my opinion purposely did the tests to gain more money from me. If there was any other thing they could have charged me for they would have. Thanks community pet hospital for your great doctoring. Any one of my friends that did not go to school to help animals could have told me that for free.

My Loving four legged Family have been Clients at Community Pet Hospital for many years. I mean may years. I have never been disappointed with the care that "My Family" has received. The Vets at both locations are able to handle an emergency situations and have been there for us when that time comes. They are caring, compassionate and understand what you are going through. I was thrilled when Community Pet Hospital opened their new office at 128th and Holly. They now not only offer the same level of Vet care at the new location, they added a grooming salon. YEAH. There is one groomer that is the only that my Lab will let cut her nails. Both locations are moving forward with new technology, which I am also taking advantage of. If you are looking for full service, loving and caring place to take you "Family Members. I highly RECOMMEND Community Pet Hospital. Both Locations. I love these guys. Lori

Our family had been going to another veterinarian place for quite some time and there was an emergency with our dog and they didnt offer us any signs of assistance in the time of need. We still had no idea what our dog was going through and it was scary, we ended up google searching for nearby pet hospitals and thats when we found this one. We were able to make it in from a cancellation a previous person made, when we got there the receptionist was nothing but nice and treated our dog with care. We were lead to one of the rooms and the Vet came in and you could tell that all the people working there are animal people, they treated us and our dog so well when we we were in a stare of panic. They were able to annilyze the problem right away, give us the correct medicine, give us a writing on what our dog had, and send us on our way. They were and are one of the best veterinarian offices Ive ever been to.

Before I adopted my dog, he was hit by two cars because the (previous) owner was careless. The police brought my pup to CPH who then contacted the owner. The (previous) owner came in, cussed out the CPH staff for not treating the dog for free, and then told them to put his dog down. The doctor on duty saw that this dog had a great personality even though he was owned by a scumbag who neglected his dog (this dog was 25% UNDERWEIGHT). The hospital staff fixed up this pup ON THEIR OWN DIME to save this dog from a brutal owner. I was fortunate enough to adopt this pup and I have CPH to thank for him! I only trust CPH to care for my furry family member. Working in the medical field, I understand that not every animal can be saved, and that it costs a lot of money to care for animals in the emergency room. But the care the hospital staff gave my pup is unmatched. Thanks CPH!

I brought my dog here when he was attacked by a much larger dog and needed surgery. I didnt have an appointment since it was an emergency but the girls at the front were fantastic and couldnt have been more friendly. Max had never been attacked or needed surgery before but they were very calm and assured me he was in good hands. During his examination Max was hiding under the bench because he was scared but they were very sweet to him and lured him out with treats and gave him plenty of love and attention. The vet did an outstanding job and they were very good about explaining everything from the examination to medication and follow-up care. When I returned to have Maxs stitches and draining tube removed he was almost happy to be back. They genuinely care about the animals they treat here and I highly recommend them.

Go somewhere else!! If they know your pet is dying and in need of immediate attention, they will stick your pet in a cage over night to wait for someone else to deal with it the next day, but only once they have your money, of course. They will tell you your pet is going to be fine when you leave, and call you the next morning asking you to come say goodbye to your pet. Sorry, no refunds. They charged me over a thousand dollars to have someone kill my dog, who had a 90% chance of a full recovery the day before. Why? Because theyd rather lose your pet than lose your money. If I had gone ANYWHERE else this would not have happened.

COMMUNITY PET HOSPITAL IS THE MOST AMAZING PLACE, ALL OF OUR FOUR LEGGED KIDS GO TO SEE THE VETS AT THE HOSPITAL AND TO SEE NICK THE GROOMER, YOU WILL NEVER FIND A BETTER PLACE THEN COMMUNITY PET HOSPITAL, TRUST ME I HAVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR YEARS YOU WILL VERY HAPPY SO GIVE THEM A CHANCE AND TAKE YOUR FOUR LEGGED KIDS THERE, WE HAVE FRIENDS WHO COME FROM BRIGHTON AND LAFAYETTE TO HAVE THEIR BABIES GROOMED AND CARED FOR. Most expensive vet practice in the area, and not worth the price. Have had several bad experiences, including significant misdiagnoses, unneeded costly tests, and constant haranguing about buying high-priced products and services. Wed had prescriptions and phone messages "lost" and never a concession on their part. Lots of staff turnover. They used to provide quality service and family-style care, but thats long gone. Go somewhere else!

The doctors and technician are always professional and treat my animals with kindness, friendliness and intelligent care. I love the way they are not hurried and treat each procedure with knowledge and care. Ashley,Gidgets groomer does excellent work and Gidget is comfortable with her. I cant say enough as to how much I truly appreciate the Riverdale location and the team of Vets and Technicians. I love going there.
