I have had cavities filled, teeth pulled, and crown & bridge work done over the past 50-plus years. This patchwork dentistry left me with an uneven bite (to say the least) and general unattractive wear. I was alarmed this past year when I began to notice my jaw receding quite noticeably. Three of my teeth either chipped or cracked in a period of 4 months I was also experiencing constant tension behind my ears. During my quest for help I had two recommendations for a full mouth restoration. My concern was that a restoration alone would not correct my receding jaw. Fortunately for me a young dentist gave me a tip on G-Neuromuscular Dentistry. I did some research on the post graduate education these specialists receive and it made sense, this was what I needed to correct the jaw AND the teeth (check out Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies). Dr. Arthur Kwan in Roseville was my choice even though his office is a three hour drive from my home one way. The care and support that I received was excelent. I think mine was a more difficult case, there was severe bone loss on one side of my jaw and moderate degeneration of the tempomandibular joint on the other (not to mention tooth enamel erosion or missing teeth). Correcting the jaw took time with many adjustments as my body acclimated to the changes, there were many trips to Roseville. My restoration is now complete and I am so pleased to be able to chew on both sides simultaneously, be relieved of the cranial tension and have beautiful teeth. If you are experiencing problems get checked out and get help, its not going to go away on its own. Dr Kwan will talk to you about your exam findings and discuss possible options for treatment with consideration for your desires.

I thought they would stand behind their work. I went to Nusmile little under 2 years ago and had two crowns placed in my mouth. I was impressed with their State of the art equippment. I was told by the Dentist I could eat anything I want and they would last 10 to 15 years "no problem". Each crown cost me $1500. I was willing to pay that if they could do a good job.One crown just fell out and I was told again by the Dentist that my tooth bellow must of split because their work was done correctly. He also wanted to refer me to someone to pay more money to take an x-ray of the tooth to see if it was cracked. He said he could not comfirm it. He wanted me to repair the tooth. I told him if the tooth was cracked why would you still want to try and fix it. He paused and said yeah it probably would be better to just replace it. At that point I lost all cofidence in him. I believe the work he did was improperly prepared. He used a build up on the tooth from the previous dentist which failed. If he would have done the job right the first time that would never have happened. Taking a short cut cost me more money. I decided to go to another dentist to get a second opinion and told him what happened. We both felt putting a post and crown would be a permanent solution that would last. I was very disappointed how I was treated at Nusmile. I want a dentist that will stand behind their work not make excuses.

First, I was terrified of dentistry. After having several unsuccessful treatments in my early 20s my condition became worse from the fear I had. Over a decade ago I met Dr. Arthur Kwan. There was something different, comforting. His office is amazing, his staff amazing. There was a time my insurance was not taken and I had to see another dentist. Short version, I came back and paid CASH to Dr. Kwan until I could change my insurance. I have had nearly all of my pearly whites worked on in this office and I have never smiled more in my life. (ok, my wife has a lot to do with that also, but now she knows when Im happy) Personal service, accommodating in every way... and you better make a stop in the restroom also... yeah, even that is amazing! (so much so Im modeling my new bathroom to be similar.) If you are thinking about going to a dentist, stop, call Dr. Kwan, open your mouth and give him your $$... you will be smiling about it for years to come... And if you want a fun time, tell them Crazy Chris sent you over :)

My whole family have been patients of Nu Smile Dentistry for well over 10 years. We have had extensive dental work done in that time and can honestly say it has been a wonderful experience not only having in my opinion, the best professionals in the business in Dr. Kwan and Dr. Hsu providing the the highest quality dental care, but the atmosphere in the office with the highly trained staff always makes for a very pleasant experience each time we visit. You can tell Dr. Kwan and Dr. Hsu are very passionate regarding the latest procedures and options available but first and foremost they are genuinely interested in the satisfaction and well being of their patients. They are truly wonderful caring people. The entire staff provides the friendliest family environment anyone could hope for and we will be patients in the Nu Smile "Family" for life.

I love this place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Kwan has a great "bed side manner" is quick, efficient and very gentle. This is defiantly not your typical dental experience. I felt like I was at a day spa not the dentist. I need allot of dental work and dont have time for multiple appointments. Today I had a filling and two crowns replaced in one visit, approximately 3.5 hours but it went by quick, they let me choose a movie to watch but I was so comfortable I almost fell asleep. I will say they changed my mind about going to the dentist. Im even looking forward to my next appointment. If your looking for a dental office focused on positive patient experience along with skilled dental care this is your place.

I was in search of a new dentist after moving to the Rocklin area over 10 years ago. Working in the medical field, I was referred to Dr.Kwan & Nu smile dentistry. I have had substantial work done over the years from 2 Crowns to removal of old fillings replaced by new ones, to my regular teeth cleaning & x-rays for my yearly check-ups. From day one Dr.Kwan was awesome.Drs. Kwan & Hsu and there entire staff at Nu smile have been incredibly professional. I was put at ease from the moment I walked through the front door at the old office, to the end of my last appointment in their new state of the art facility. I’ve been going to Dr. Kwan for years and would never consider going anywhere else.
