There are people in the world that have never and will never be able to see a dentist, so I am grateful to have this privilege. However, the service there is AWFUL (the side that serves VERY young children, their dentist was ok). Everyone from the receptionist to the dentists Ive seen have like no people skills. No one there seems to care that you are a human being or that your child might be a little afraid. Its like they have a factory/conveyor belt mentality: "get em in, get their money (or the govts money), and get em out". No smiles, no concern, and they act like youre bothering them if you have questions. They all seemed rushed in the dentist area, which they probably are because they overbook patients so your wait time (with an appt.) is AT LEAST two hours. I had to get a tooth pulled and the dentist forgot to tell me to put my fists under my chin for stability and ended up hitting me in the mouth and making the bottom teeth on my right side permanently shift. No apology, but made it seem like it was my fault; like I should have known the procedure of putting my fist under my chin. Um no. While youre in pain, theyre right in the room with you talking and laughing at random which is very unprofessional. I guess they figure that there are so many people on welfare or considered "working poor" that need their assistance that they can treat you without any sense of humanity because if you leave there are hundreds more that will come so they dont need you. My child needed work on a tooth and they didnt want to let me come back and be with him; of course I wasnt going for that so eventually they conceded. Maybe Im just old school (Im 40) and Im used to a dentist talking to you like they would want to be talked to, smiling, trying to assure you that everything is going to be okay (because everyone knows going to the dentist is scary, even sometimes for adults), SMILING lol. Even the dentists that accepted Medi-cal back then were super nice, and even if they didnt really care, they at least pretended to. At this dentist office they are just really so rude and uncaring and seem to be all about what they can swindle out of the govt with your teeth. They redid their office building which looks nice; I just wish they had also redone their staff and dentists. I left them and went to Park Place Dental in Natomas and voila!... SMILES. They didnt accept Medi-cal so I paid for insurance but it was absolutely worth it. Receptionists and assistants talking to you like youre an actual person. They explain to you exactly what is about to happen and actuall ask you if you have any questions. The dentist Dr. Pereira was so kind and caring and awesome. There was no "hurry up so I can take your money" vibe at all. I gave two stars because hate is such a strong word, but I REALLY REALLY REALLY dislike them.

If you already have the misfortune of being on Medi-Cal then a trip to the dentist will turn the knife even more. If you come on time you still have to wait for at least 2 hours to be seen. You cant get an appointment for at least 60 days. There is no such thing as an emergency appointment. You wont be seen untill the next day after calling early in the morning to try to get one of the 8 emergency appointments that they see daily. So you are guaranteed at 24 hours of pain. I dread any dealings with this group, but what can you do when youre considered the "working poor". The catch, you cant be seen anywhere else even if you pay out of pocket!!

This place really deserved a 4 or a 5 but i gave it a 3 cause they fail to return call and reschedule my child appt... As for the time its ok... prefer call back and not have to wait on referrels being done all over agian...This is one of the best Dental Office for Access Dental... Better than most Dental and almost as Great as Smile now Dental in Folsom... Love how they let Parents in with kids... They are busy but it is what it is when it comes down to Mid Income or Low Income... Just that the Call in takes a bit too long when you call in...

I rated the office a 4 because everyone there is very nice and friendly. They work very hard. Yes I had to wait over 2 hours but I knew it ahead of time and planned my day. Bit this clinic sees medi-cal patients so its expected. I am very thankful for having insurance for me and my kids. My last visit they actually cleaned my teeth while I was there and didnt make me come back. I was very grateful.

I have been on 2 occasions, and and waited for more than 2 hours just to get in, I have no idea how they are calling people, but if it is as they arrive and are recorded not respect that. Although the staff is very friendly, the wait is ridiculously long, todays quote my daughter was at 2:50 pm, and 4:34 are still waiting, or maybe its the kind of insurance we have

I took my two daughters to Access Dental for a check up. They said my oldest daughter had 17 cavities and my youngest daughter had 7. I took them to a different dentist and they said my daughter didnt not have 17 cavities, in fact she didnt have any. And my youngest daughter only had 1 small cavity.

Great dental office. Called 8 am got appointment at 11:30 same day. Was 30 min late still they accepted me. Tooth was pulled, given vicadin, and was out of there by 2. Also am on medi-cal but was not a problem. Very surpised and satisfied with my experience. :)

I think Cortneys "Welfare Clinic" sums it up. Its a zoo. They are trying to see way to many people than their facility can handle. You have to park down the street. I ended up walking out before I was called.

Ive been there twice, and both times its been a disappointing experience. Always behind schedule... Why make an appointment if you go by who signs in first? They do not seem organized.

Had my appointment for 9am and was done by 11am. Clean office & friendly staff. The dentist himself was polite and informative. It was a pleasant dental experience.

Never pick up the phone when you call for an appointment. No parking, you end up driving around for 10-15 minutes looking for a place to park.

3 1/2 hours just to prep for a crown, very unpleasant visit and the doctor was very rough. Inside of my cheek is like ground hamburger.

The worst wait ever. I was waiting for over two hours to be seen. What is the point of making an appointment?
