My son was born in 1990. Dr Todd Geise had spoken to my Lamaze class, and his ideas and practice seemed a better fit, than the pediatrician recommended by my OBGYN, so I switched. Over the past 26 yrs Dr Geises practice has grown and each associate and physician added has continued Dr. Geises genuinely caring attitude, practices and policies. Because of divorce and changes in jobs /insurance, Ive occasionally had to use a different physician for myself, but I always go back to Caring Family. My son was under his dads insurance and has been a patient there since he was three months old. Weve seen Dr. Todd Geise, Dr Raquel Ramirez, and Dr George Gancayco and feel equally comfortable with any of them. They take the time to actually KNOW their patients as a whole person and not simply as a medical chart or condition. Having a physician who LISTENS and KNOWS US is very important to me. While they can be very busy at times and we sometimes have waited (especially during peak times such as when some flu or virus is hitting schools and everyone else) I dont think its ever been longer than 30 min, and more importantly, Ive never felt any of the Doctors were rushing me or my son through to get to the next patient. Ive also never had any problems in 26 yrs from any of the office staff being rude or impatient, including a rough period when I was unemployed, on Medicaid/ ACA insurance and could not pay my bills. Even the doctors assisted by finding less expensive alternate medication or samples whenever possible.

I have been seeing Dr Giese and Dr Ramirez since I was born. My parents made all of my appointments for me when I was younger but the past 5 years making my own appointments at this office has been AWFUL. The ladies at the front desk are rude and are not helpful in the least bit. Nurses/MAs never call with test results. They rarely even return your call with questions unless you call at least twice. I called today to make an appointment and after asking what I was coming in for she told me the next open appointment was three weeks from now. How is it they dont have an appointment open for THREE weeks when they have FOUR doctors in the office? I worked for an independent doctor who was always able to get patients in same day or next day at the latest. Any time you do get an appointment here, be ready to wait at least an hour to see the doctor. Later in the day theyre almost always behind so you can tack on another half hour for evening appointments. Overall very disappointed with how much this office has gone down hill. The doctors themselves are great, but the rest of the staff are rude and not helpful at all. Its a shame.

First time going on the recommendation of a family member, and I will never recommend them to anyone. First off, I was told on the phone that the (GYN) exam would be $95 plus whatever tests the Dr wanted to run, since I was paying out of pocket. I made an appt for the exam plus pap. before I even saw a doctor, they asked me to pay $150, then after the exam asked for another $60 to run the Pap. I was told Id have an email with results in about a week. TWO WEEKS later, I called about the results and prescription that was supposed to have been sent. I was told they would "Make a note for the doctor." I then get an email from the doc saying she wanted to talk to me regarding my test results and to call her. 3 phone calls (2 rather angry) and 2 days later, I finally get a call saying that I need more tests. SERIOUSLY?!?!?! If youre too busy to talk to your patients for 2 minutes (literally), then dont even bother calling. I would have settled for a email at that point! Plus, I still havent found out what all I was charged for. Simply ridiculous.

I have read some of these bad reviews and I have to totally disagree. My husband and I and my sons all see Dr G. Gancayco and I have never in my life seen such caring and incredible beside manners. He takes the time to talk to us on a personal level in a way I in all my years have never seen. He tells you exactly what is going on in detail and he has even gone so far as to ask me how my husband was feeling whille I was at my visit. He truely cares for his patience. I have never had anything happen with the reception desk that was bad they are always nice to us and manage to squeeze us in whenever we call for that day. You have to wait a little in the waiting room, but frankly you have to do that everywhere. I will not have our family go anywhere else!! We love you Dr. G!!

I used to feel cared for at this practice, but now I will never go back. In the past, the office/doctor would work with me to reduce my bill. Now they refuse to help clients make payments and the front desk staff talks down to you when you have a balance. I paid the office nearly $1000 this summer from 5 visits in which one I was misdiagnosed. They provided no discount for paying in full (unlike most immediate care units which do). To add to the difficulties, one doctor refused to look me in the eyes and another refused to look at my ailment and just wanted to hear me describe it. At all but one appointment, the doctors ran at least 20 minutes late. There were some friendly front desk staff and some friendly nurses.

This has become the worst place to go. The doctors dont really care anymore. They are just in a hurry to get you out. I had a mammogram and had cysts, my doc did an exam and told me I was fine. She had no idea. I had to tell her. My insurance paid and I also paid for a visit. I had to bring this to their attention and called at least 4 times to get my money refunded. This took a month. I needed a perscription extended and sent to a new pharmacy. They told me the doctor would call me. He never did. I ended up running out for a few days and still had to wait for the doctor to call me. I will be finding a new place to go. A lot of people I know that go there too are also very unhappy with this place.

Probably the best experience ever with a medical clinic. Drs Gancayco and Geise are outstanding in the amount of time they are willing to spend with you and their approach to treatment. Any and all options are explained in detail. They usually offer lower cost alternatives, such as recommendations on how to lower prescription costs or approach treatments naturally. Like any other office sometimes you have to wait but counting the times my appointment has been late Ive also been seen early. I havent experienced any of the negativity described on this site with the front office staff. I highly recommend Caring Family.

The Doctors are great and the nurses are friendly. But the office staff seems to have no idea whats going on and anytime Ive spoken to Joy in billing she seem extremely aggravated. I was talking to Joy to give updated insurance info, what should be a simple matter, and she was beyond rude and once she had all the info she just hung up on me.... didnt ask if I had questions or even say good bye just slammed the phone down. Really sad when doctors offices dont know simple manners.
