We were visiting Denver for the Thanksgiving holiday when our 3.5 lb maltese fur baby became sick with severe diarrhea (and on the verge of becoming dehydrated) we searched/researched immediately for a veterinarian clinics that we felt would offer our dog the best in services in a city we were not familiar with. VCA Firehouse Animal Hospital was able to get us an appointment the morning that we called and the front was exceptionally kind when we arrived. The clinic is beautiful, the waiting area exceptionally comfortable with hot/cold drinks to enjoy during the visit/wait. The doctor that saw us and the technicians were all very gentle, knowledgeable and wanting to help in any way possible to make sure that our dog felt better and that we had everything that we needed in order to fly home safety with our dog and with confidence. The check out was amazing as well, when the bill came in well under $200 dollars and we were given an exceptionally nice new customer gift. This Animal Hospital was amazing from our first phone contact call to our final bill and exit. If I lived in the area I would make it our dogs vet and recommend them to our family that lives in the area. Thank you VCA Firehouse for helping our little dog feel better and for your warm atmosphere it made a world of difference when we were so worried about our dog. Id recommend this hospital to anyone that lives in the area or needs a vet that is traveling through.

I used the VCA Firehouse once and I highly recommend it. I went in because my dog was very sick and asked them to go over pricing before running the each test or x-ray so that I could stay within my budget. They worked with me to get a CareCredit loan that was able to help with the costs. I eventually had to make the decision of putting my dog down and this was by far the best experience Ive heard of. They put us in a comfort room that is similar to a studio apartment with couches, candles, and all the comforts of a home. They even gave my dog a blanket to wrap up in. Once they put her IV in they wrapped her paw in a hot pink cast and added a bright red heart. They let me take as much time needed before giving the go ahead and as much time needed on to leave after. A week and a half later I received a clay paw in the shape of a heart with my dogs name in it and a card from everyone at the hospital. I also looked over my final bill and its very comparable to other places in the area if not slightly cheaper. Overall I had a great experience for the circumstances I was under.

Dr. Cassie Todd and Randy McCarty are not only two of the best and brightest vets in Denver, but theyre incredibly caring and compassionate people. Cassie Todd is the Mother Theresa of Vets. She should win a prize for her level of concern and support. Our dog had several health problems over the years, but she actually enjoyed going to visit Firehouse. All of the staff there treated her like she was their own favorite pet. These are people who clearly love what they do and who they do it for. Many reviewers say Firehouse is overpriced. Not true. Its actually way under-priced for the level of service and care they provide. Vets have families and bills too. I dont begrudge anyone for making a few bucks. The real question is whether or not they provide value for the price. The answer is undeniably yes. This is top tier pet health care. We cant say enough good things about them.

If you go to this Vet, do not go to Dr. Pradhan. In her ignorance and spineless robotic reaction, she doomed my sweet 8 week old lab puppy to 6 months of quarantine prison with the state for, I do not lie or exaggerate, picking up a year old dead bat carcass for 3 seconds. The bat carcass was so old, there was no material left in it to even test for the rabies virus. In spite of this and the indisputable scientific fact that the rabies virus cant survive outside of its living host for more than 24 hours ... she reported my lab puppy to the State animal control folks who showed up at my house to quarantine him in a state cage for 6 MONTHS! When I contacted Dr. Pradhan to tell her what she had unleashed and hoping for her help to unwind this insane reaction by the state, she robotically expressed that she couldnt over rule the wisdom of the system. I have so many great things to say about VCA Firehouse! Ive been bringing my rescue pup there for over a year since he was about 3 months old. Just to name a few things I love about VCA Firehouse: 1. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and organized 2. The facility is very nice, clean and refreshments/snacks are always available 3. My pup (Frankie) is ADORED by the staff and they always remember his name and give him lots of love 4. I receive customized reminders in the mail of what shots and/or appointments Frankie is due for 5. I ALWAYS receive a follow up call from Dr. H regarding Frank and how he is doing after each appointment 5. Upon joining VCA Firehouse, I received a complimentary bottle of wine :) 6. I completely trust Frankie under the care of the Vet Techs and Doctors at VCA Firehouse.

Firehouse makes sure your pet gets the best possible treatment - as long as you can afford it. I stopped taking my pets to this clinic after I noticed that my vet would rather automatically recommend the most expensive treatments and tests than actually looking at the animal and offering a real world solution. They tried to perform over $300 of tests before informing me of the cost at one point. I have now saved over $2,000 and a few dangerous, stressful procedures on my cat by visiting other vets and doing my own research. Not a recommended course of action for every pet or situation of course, and all vets are expensive, but Firehouse did not make me feel secure in their haste to subject my cat to a battery of expensive (and now known to be unnecessary) tests.

Took my cat in for a skin problem. After getting the initial check up, a package of shots and bloodwork, Dr. Randy McCarty explained the possible problems, courses of action, and pricing very well. They also informed me of some rather expensive dental problems, but didnt push the issue. I appreciated that because, frankly, I couldnt afford it. .The prices seem fair, but Im no expert. They were out of a medication on a return visit. Instead of making me come back, they had a staffer drive to another location to get the dose. They made a mistake, admitted to it, and took swift action to correct it. I appreciated that. I was impressed with Dr. Randy McCarty, the techs and the counter staff. I actually received good customer service, a rarity these days. Recommended.

This is an awesome veterinary clinic with great prices. Vet bills can get out of hand quickly, but the VCA works with you and your budget to make sure your animal is getting the care it needs without you going bankrupt. Throughout a ridiculous, years-long process of my dog starting to experience severe allergies, giving herself skin infections as a result of all the scratching, and all the hassle that comes with identifying the cause, this place was patient and awesome. Bottom line: everyone here, from the intake staff to the vet techs to the vets themselves, are wonderful to work with. I have recommended them to several friends and everyone has been equally as pleased.
