I brought my dog in for an illness visit this morning, as she was lethargic and not eating. The visit started off fine and bloodwork was ordered after a brief physical exam. The results came in and the vet came back stating she didnt like what she saw and circled a few levels for me. She was thorough in her explanation but said my dog was severely anemic with several levels requiring immediate fluids and hospitalization that they couldnt provide. I was told to go to an emergency facility that could provide such services. I told them I was headed to Regional in Turnersville and they assured me they would fax the information from the blood work over to them right away. I called Regional on my way to give them a heads up and explain about the information coming over. It took 20 minutes with traffic to get to Regional and they immediately took my dog back for examination with just my explanation of the results, as they had yet to arrive. We waited. And waited. And the front desk repeatedly tried to call Banfield and received busy tones along with a gone home message. We went back in a room to wait. And wait. And wait. Without the blood results I just paid $244 for, they were at a standstill. After waiting an hour, I called and was told theyd be sent. Some ten or fifteen minutes later they sent blank pages. Then sent a useless summary. Then finally the blood test results after being told thats not what we needed. The vet at Regional took one look at the results and suspected pancreatitis, which coincided with the abdominal tenderness she noted that the Banfield vet didnt note. While Im not upset about the missed stomach pain (mistakes happen), I am disgusted with the complete communication break down. My dogs treatment was held up for almost 2 hours by incompetence. Thats unacceptable.

I just subscribed to Banfield because my daughter who lives in deptford highly recommended it. I live in staten island, ny where there is also a banfield, summer upstate near the Middletown one, and visit my daughter often in Nj,...I also visit near their Delray beach Fl office. This is the reason I took the plan. I am now reading some not very good feedback and am about to rethink this. I am encouraged by the Deptford one though...that they at least try to read the comments and offer to make a problem right...if that can be done. This is much more than I can say about the FL.... comments...which are serious and not addressed by their director. Now what do I do about my champion breed pomeranian...who travels wherever I go.....??? I am an RN...does anyone know If I can be permitted to stay with my pet during her teeth cleaning? Other than that and the immunizations...I really dont need them for much more....I guess I can bring her elsewhere in an emergency.

Brought our two cats in today, I ended up being almost 30 minutes past our appointment. I called ahead to let them know the mistake. When I arrived I was greeted by a very friendly staff who seemed to be more than understanding about my tardiness. After a short wait we were able to see the vet. Again she was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I was a bit hesitant about the low rating so I wanted to share my experience in hopes that doesnt stop anyone from taking their pets there.

All this place cares about is how much money they can squeeze out of you. They do not care about the pet or you. What is the purpose of to keep coming in for consultations and exams for an old dog, who is emaciated beyond belief. They say they dont know whats wrong with her. Very disappointed in Banfield. They are "nice", thats it. Everyone can put on an act and be nice.

Horrible, I pay for 2 cats every month for a health plan and 1 is dead. Never got a smidgen of compassion about it . When the second one was sick I had to go pick him up because they wouldnt except a post dated check. Thank God, he survived! All they care about is the $ NOT your pet

I have had nothing but awesome experience at the Deptford location. All the staff go out of their way to welcome my Bella. The vets and vet techs are awesome and are very knowledgeable. I recommend Banfield Deptford to everyone. Keep up the great work
