HORRIFIC! MY DOG HAD MANGE AND THE DR. JUST SAID SHE NEEDED A BATH! My wife and I have had animals insured at this Banfield location for many years. Weve seen Dr. Asinga, among other really good vets, come and go but he was the best. Now, were looking for an alternative. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. A couple of months ago my wife took three of our dogs in to get their check-ups. My first clue was that the "Optimum Wellness Plan Comprehensive Exam Report" showed all dogs weighing exactly what they did at their last exam which I knew was off because Id had one dog on a diet and the puppy had grown considerably. We were concerned with the puppies "skin condition" as well. The Dr. simply stated that she needed a bath. Well, we take very good care of our animals and I thought that odd as well but she did smell. After a few regular baths (These are primarily indoor pets) the condition only seemed to worsen as did the odor. We did our own research on Google and.... SARCOPTIC MANGE!!!! Evidently, in this case, its mostly a breed thing. Weve since found and purchased the appropriate shampoo and the poor thing is looking and feeling (and smelling) much better, NO THANKS to Banfield and their ineptitude! Many years of loyalty to this pet hospital. Many great employees came and went. We moved nearly an hour away about 9 years ago but stayed with the Johns Creek Banfield and this is how our loyalty is rewarded. An easily recognized disease brushed off as the need for a bath because the vet couldnt be bothered to do his job on a busy day. I will continue to write this post regularly so all can see. PetSmart, Im done with you. Banfield Pet Hospital, you should be deeply ashamed of yourselves. I will be persuing compensation.

My dog has a skin lesion on her that I thought was a hot spot but it was not getting better with hot spot spray. The initial visit experience was good, they took a culture of the lesion and gave oral antibiotics and a topical anti fungal. However, I was told I would get a phone call with the culture results in 10 days and I never did. I called at the 14 day mark and was told I would get a call back. I didnt hear anything back so after another few days I called again and no return call. I finally called again and I asked very frustrated by this point because the skin lesion is no better and I have spent over $120, and was told the culture results were negative and we could try a steroid spray. I go in to pick it up and its the same spray they have already prescribed to me that DIDNT WORK. Then they tried to give me a different medication that was going to cost $60. Basically I think there needs major improvement in patient care, I work in the medical field and if I ever treated one of my patients like this there would be major repercussions. Dont waste your time or money if you want answers.

Weve always used private vets for our pets but after our dog passed and we looked into getting a new puppy 2 years later, we were intrigued by the puppy care plan Banfield offered. Weve had a great experience! Vets are always friendly as well as technicians. Our puppy is now 7 mos and in great health.
