It saddens me to have to write this because the staff was so friendly and accomidating. My 12 year old huskey went in yesterday to have a large fatty tumor removed. When I picked her up I was shocked at what an extensive surgery it was. She has about a 10 inch incision across her hip, with another inch gash below that had a drain hanging out held on by a few stitches. I specifically asked the technicians if she needed a cone because i told them she would definitely lick her wounds. They said she had not been messing with them since her surgery so it shouldnt be necessary. But to call if anything changed. I myself recently had a surgery and am unable to lift anything over 10lbs so the techs were very sweet and helped me get her into the car. The only discharge instructions I was told to leave the drain alone and come back in 3-4 days to have it removed and 2 weeks to have the other sutures removed. When I got home I was completely unprepared for the amount of blood that came out of the drain anytime she stood up. I spent the rest if the night cleaning up puddlea of blood. Within 4 hours of having her home she licked/chewed the top of the drain off. I called the vet today as soon as they opened and heard back 2 hours later. I sent a pic of the drain that they showed to the vet and he said that there is definately still a large piece inside of her that needs to be removed immediately via another surgery that will be an additional expense because it was removed by my dog? The next available opening they have is not until next Tuesday? I told the receptionist that this is not acceptable and that I need to speak directly to the vet today. My dog is the vets patient and because of poor post operative management her situation is quickly becoming life threatening. You would think this would make her being seen a priority. But I am still waiting for a call back from the vet. My dad also called them today trying to get somewhere. The receptionist told him that their standard protocal is to send home all surgery patients with cones. And she told him that I was offered a cone and refused it..which is a blatant lie! looking back there was a woman who came to pick up her dog before me who also asked about a cone and she was told she could get one at Petco if she really wanted one. I didnt think anything of it at the time because her dogs surgery seemed very minor. The bottom line is my dog should have been sent home with a cone and all of this would have been avoided. This is their mistake and I am I was at a loss for words at how they have decided to handle this. I am obviously going to have to take her to an urgent care vet because its common knowledge that leaving a foreign object inside the body will likely cause a serious infection. but I guess they would rather have an animal suffer than have to be inconvenienced by rearranging their schedules or god forbid work late.

40 minute wait!! Got to my appointment five mins before and waited till 40 mins after my appointment time till we had to leave. I was using my lunch for this appt and all we got was Im sorry. about half way through the waiting a couple people came out to grab the food they ordered and went to the back. If your going to not help people during lunch hours please close down so someone isnt waiting 40 plus minutes for a simple annual shot. Response to owner: Lets be honest? I was honest We arrived at 11:55 when my scheduled appointment was for 12:00. we waited 20 minutes till 12:20 when they moved us to a room at 12:28 i asked how much longer since i had to head back to work and all the person said was Im sorry. We waited till 12:38 when i said we had to leave due to me having to go back to work and all i got was im sorry. Not once did i say i was disgusted to no one there and video to prove my time. So please dont try to tell me I waited 9 mins when in actuality I was there 40 plus mins. I am not one to write reviews and certainly think people get second chances but when you guys cant even take responsibility for your actions I do write a review.. And now a response is needed because your trying say i lied! WHY WOULD I LIE, and if my wait was only "9 mins" then my dog would had his annual shots done . As well as i did get his shots done else where thank you and i dont have to wait at all during lunch hours thank you!

If I could give zero stars I would. A family member of mine went to this vet as her pup was very ill. She then was told that she had congenial disease and would likely not make it. We prayed and prayed that Ellie would get better and they advised that unfortunately their was no hope for her and they would have to put her down. Recently there have been pictures of her pup showing that Ellie has made major improvements and actually is not in the vet at all anymore and has been given to someone else. This lady now refuses to give Ellie back to her rightful owner as she claims that Ellie is in better care. This is outrageous to take someones pup that they have cared for this whole time and then on top of that lie about the well being of the dog. I am outraged. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE.

I love this vet!! My poor Mastiff suffered for 1.5 years with an ear infection after I adopted her from a puppy mill rescue. Our previous vet kept telling us it was cured, and then 2 weeks later it was back. I came here as a "second opinion" visit, and Dr. Bob was amazing!! He made it his personal mission to cure her. He got the culture results faxed over, and made up a special concoction on medicine that the culture said would work... and it did!!! Dot has now been ear infection free for 4 months (and counting!). I love this vet, the prices are amazing, the doctor is kind, gentle and does a great job. Thank you Animal Care Center of Aurora!!!

If I could give zero stars, I would! I am so disappointed with this place and to think you called yourself an animal hospital! My 4 dogs are regulars here and we have a last minute emergency for 1 of my dogs which required immediate attention. I tried calling for an hour trying to get an appointment in for same day but was denied. Reason given? "We are full and doing surgery so please go to the next doors hospital." What a joke! You called yourself animals lover? My dog is in so much pain and you just turned us away! Such a disappointed because your staffs are so friendly.

I LOVE this place! They are in it for the animals first and foremost and not to line their pockets like so many others. I have been to several vets in this area and this one is the most honest and doesnt try to up sale you on anything. They dont try to run a bunch of unnecessary test or get you worried for worst case scenarios. They simply treat the problem at the most reasonable prices you will find anywhere. This is the only place I would ever take my animals. They really care for the well being of animals and that makes all the difference to me.
