**WARNING, very unprofessional** Firstly, my husband and I have excellent insurance. We also take good care of our teeth.. especially me (Ive only had 1 cavity my whole life) and I have NEVER had to pay out of pocket for x-rays and regular cleanings. Upon moving to Orlando, we decided to find a new dentist because it was not cost or time effective to go back to our home state to have cleanings done. Upon entering this establishment, I asked what the cost was up front and was told several numbers until it was finally established that my husband and I would both be $15 each after insurance. ..which I still thought was odd, but whatever.... it was a first time visit. My husband went back, had all the x-rays done and they begain cleaning his teeth while they brought me back. The dentist came in and explained to me that all my husbands fillings had to be re-done at some point and that we both had gum disease. Gum disease!? I was then told that our cleanings would be $40 because we had to have some sort of "special" cleaning and needed to come back for a follow up and polish. I immediately got up out of the chair because $80 wasnt in our budget that day... and even though they told us $15 to begin with, they charged $40 for my husband because "they already finished the service". I had to have them keep my card on file so they could charge it on payday....for a service I never agreed to. That day, we made sure to find out the balance before we left and agreed to the date when they could charge our card.. which they did. Now, while I am out of state for business, my husband calls me to say we got a $150 bill in the mail...WHY? My husband got: x-rays, a cleaning, and mouth wash I got: x-rays, and consultation All of this is covered by my insurance everywhere else. This office is either fraudulently charging insane amounts, or they have to pay their overhead with pure gold... not sure which... what a joke. When a customer asks for the cost up front, it should be given... with no catch. Get ready to pay a pretty penny and deal with people that have NO idea what they are talking about. Perhaps there was a reason it took me 2 weeks just to get ahold of them for an appointment. To think I was trying to save money for a follow up... guess that will go toward this random bill. I will NEVER step foot in this place again.

A true procrastinator, I hadnt seen a dentist for almost ten years before visiting Eastwood Dental. My mother is English, and unfortunately I inherited the weak teeth in the family. Combine crooked weak teeth with a subpar dental plan (which didnt cover anything close to cosmetic corrections) and growing up my parents didnt have but a handful of photos where I even dared to crack a smile. After dozens of fillings in my teens and what (in retrospect) seemed to be a true sadist of a dentist, I put off seeing a dentist for almost all of my 20s until a friend recommended Eastwood Dental. To say I was apprehensive of getting back into "the chair" would be a true understatement. Dr. Reyes changed my opinion of dentists forever, and definitely for the better. I had eight crowns put on in the past year and within a few visits my smile changed from "Cryptkeeper" to "Tom Cruise"! With the amount of work done I had expected pain on the level of giving birth WHILE passing a kidney stone, but Dr. Reyes is the most gentle dentist Ive ever had the pleasure of seeing, and my comfort level was of extreme concern for him. Im the first one to smile in a photo now, and now I cant wait to have more work done! Without a proper dental plan Im paying all this out of my pocket, but if I had known ten years ago just how much pain-free teeth and a great smile are worth, I never wouldve waited so long. I never thought Id say this, but I cant wait til my next dental appointment!

Beware – before seeing the dentist, CALL YOUR DENTAL INSURANCE FIRST to verify prior to services being rendered, or you will be out of pocket lots of money. I went to see him for some dental work and prior to the service I clearly asked, how much am I going to be responsible for and is this covered by my insurance? Right, simple question. They told me while in the dentist chair we verified and only 200 is your responsibility. I said... ok, and went ahead with the service. They sent the bill to my insurance company and it was not covered. So I called the dentist office and asked how they can miscalculate so much off. They told me that my insurance did provide the information when I asked for the documentation to dispute with my insurance; they send me a document from 2002 verification, are we not clearly in 2011. Get this, when I called the insurance company to find out why they provided incorrect information to my dentist, they told me the dentist office never called. So now they are billing me for the remainder of the $788 and threaten with collection (I have excellent credit). So, beware of the UNETHICAL BILLING practice. If you like the dentist (and I did) and want to continue prior to service get a written contract or better yet fine another office so you don’t get sucker, like I did.

BEWARE! Ive been going to Eastwood Dental for about two years. My first couple of visit were very good. The office was running smooth. They had a office manager that was very good. Once he left which was about 4 months ago, everything went south. I paid for my invisalign up front. At the very end, which is now, they decided to order my retainers from a third party lab (not invisalign) and told me it was from invisalign. After calling invisalign, they never ordered my retainers. Basically, I currently have cheaply made retainers that will not last me a year. I called to complain but the office/Dentist does not want to take responsibility of the situation. I havent received a call back so basically Im stuck with a bate and switch retainers that are not from the company invisalign. The Office is being run by inexperienced/uneducated dentist assistances that will lie, and have no idea what they are doing.

I have the best and most expensive ultimate dental insurance from work. My wife made three visits and she has absolutely no issues if you ask me and at this stage I find myself having to pay $$ out of my pocket as they were able to overcharge and exhaust my insurance in a short time. They seem to charge over and beyond.. And they have labeled her a gum disease patient!!!! ( That is the old trick in the book for dentists... Thus making one an eternal patient.) So be careful about this place and if they show you niceness by fixing extra unnecessary appointments, question them. As for me, I am going to ditch them because I do not like dealing with unethical and unscrupulous people as I have lost trust in them.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO READ REVIEWS. 5 months ago I had a molar cap applied. The cap, which is supposed to last about 10 years, broke in half after only 4 months. I went back to their facilities to have the cap replaced but they refused because I did not have my teeth cleaned by them (?). They claimed I had broken my contract (??). I then asked to see my contract and another secretary told me there was no such contract (?!?!?). There is a huge lack of business clarity and consistancy with this establishment. I refuse to put my trust (and more importantly my dental hygeine) in the hands of these people. I highly recommend chosing a more experienced, better established, higher reviewed and rated dental office.
