I’ve been at Wayne three separate times. The first time I was here I was here for almost three month. They thought that I was going to die before they sent me here. The staff helped me get back together and I got well and walked home with a walker. The second time I had tons and tons of infections and all kinds of antibiotics from the hospital. I came back to Wayne and they took care of me. I was here for about month and half and I went back home. The third time I came to Wayne to build my health and strength before I have a major surgery. My surgeon wanted me to get as healthy as possible because this surgery will be five hours long and I need to be in great shape before that happens. I keep coming back to Wayne because I like the people here. Everybody here is good to me. I like being here. I could have gone to different places but this feels like home to me. I would recommend this place to anyone. I had a friend that had a stroke and when I visited her at the hospital I told her to come here and she did and she got better and she liked it here as well. When the weather good, I can go outside and enjoy the weather. I love the rehab team, they treat me really well, every one of them. They are very good at what they do, they make you feel comfortable. They encourage me to do my best and get stronger, which I am doing, I am getting stronger. If you are thinking about coming to this building I would say to you that the people are very kind and considerate, they listen to you, they do everything they can to help you with any problem either inside the building or outside the building. If you let the people know, they will help you. I wanted a newspaper and the staff walked with me down to the store and we got a paper. That may not seem like a lot, but to me it’s a real lot. I had some pants that were falling down on me and they bought me some suspenders. Those little things are really important to me. I think if someone comes here to get better, they will get better here, they may become a better person also.

No stars for this place, I had to pick one to even post this review. I feel like the victim of a bait and switch. When I went in on a Friday to check the place out everyone I ran across during the tour was very friendly and acknowledged me. Not so when I brought my mother in on Monday July 3. When I walked in the girl at the desk did not even make eye contact with me. I told her I spoke with Tracy and they were expecting us at 4:30 pm, she replied Tracy is gone for the day. I then said ok, well Im here with my mom. She replied oh, shes in room 110. I had to ask for a wheelchair to which her reply was a pointing at a room across the hall. I went into the room and had 4 employees ignore me. One after I asked, helped me get my mother in the lobby, I moved my car when I got back in, there sat my mother and no one else. The nightmare continued all the way back into the room, which I had to find on my own. I called the desk from the room and asked for whoever was in charge to come to the room. Apparently, John was too busy to come down and talk to me and my mother. Neither one of us felt comfortable and we walked out. To top it all off, Tracy called the case worker at the hospital and told her we never showed up!! DO NOT TAKE ANYONE HERE, NOT EVEN A PET!!!!

This place is horrible!!!!!! The drawers in the room were dirty. The furniture looks to be falling apart. The linen was frayed and and with holes. After taking dirty linen off the bed the flimsy mattress was not wiped down before placing with clean linen with holes by staff. The door was wide open to the room of a naked resident that was confined to the bed while staff was giving a sponge bath. Staff closed door after noticing me walking by. Some of the staff seem unconcerned about the residents. Transportation took a resident to a facility and left them there three hours plus, past the pick up time. Medical staff called Advantage facility multiple times to pick up resident. A third party entervened by calling Advantage to pick resident up....there is so much more disturbing about this place unfortunately.

My love one is still on the premises. However, they need to do a better job with the staff that they hire. I wish they were more compassion and more professional with dealing with the public. They do not return phone calls or follow through. They dont have translators for those with a language barrier. I find out that the staffs are only allowed to shower the residents twice a week or sometimes none! My mother teethes were not being brush daily like I initially thought they were. Many of the staff have substance dealing on the premises. They should implement random drug testing! I do not think they care about the staff the way that they should. They have a high turn over too!

My mom LOVES it here!! brought her here after a stroke and within a few weeks they had here up walking again and eating!!!. The therapy gym is HUGE and the program is 7 days a week unlike other places!! The staff is so caring and the building ALWAYS smells great when i walk through the halls. I took her out of westland nursing home after she had two falls and Wayne has done a great job since! They are not perfect but they care about the patients and their families. Mom came home yesterday. Thank you Wayne Health & Rehab!

I couldnt tour the building so I asked if I could send my fathers information via fax to the admissions department. Admissions provided me with their "direct" fax number so i proceeded to send it. Weeks have passed, and after calling this place 2 times a day for admissions, they have YET to return any of my calls. This is EXTREMELY unprofessional. Dont tell people you can accept them if you cant follow through. I do NOT recommend this facility. Rude as HELL!

Not enough nurses or assistance of any kind to care for these human beings, a lot of neglect and employees sitting around laughing and joking, not doing there job at all, only good part is therapy department !!!! Rooms are filthy on the long term care side of this place, should be a law about charging these poor people over ($9000.00) each month to live like this !!! I wish I could give it NO STARS...

Im not sure why this place has a one star rating, but their a five too me! Wonder staff, great building, therapy is the best Ive seen around the area. By no means is it perfect but Ive been to some of the other places around and this place was the best hands down. I would highly recommend anyone to put your loved ones in their capable hands. I did, no regrets!
