Every time I had gone to this doctor, I felt as though I had accomplished NOTHING but throwing my money down the toilet and never getting the help I deserved. The first time I went to Dr. DeAngelis I was having panic attacks and was breaking out in hives at work. He looked at me like I was just trying to get drugs or something and told me to stop drinking coffee. I want to note that I have a history of anxiety and depression and had been off medication for years. I drink no more than the average person does regarding my coffee drinking habits and I exercise regularly. Another time I had asked for a thyroid test since thyroid problems run in my family. For some reason I was given a cholesterol test...I thought they were two different things. He wrote “thyroid normal” on my cholesterol test and sent it to me in the mail. One time, I was sick on a wednesday and could not go in to work. I tried to call to see the doctor because my work would add points against me (for future raise) if I did not obtain a note to prove I was sick. His office was so conveniently closed because he really needs his extra time off. I left a message that Wednesday requesting a sick note be faxed to my work since I was unable to go to their office due to their hours and they refused to do so because I had not seen him (DUE TO THEIR ABSENCE)!!! Next visit, I had gone in because I was in a boot camp class and my foot and ankle were hurting me so bad that I could hardly walk on one foot. He told me I need to stop wearing heels and that I should go to the Running store in Taylor and get new running shoes. I also expressed that I would get severe cramping in my feet regularly (before the ankle problem) especially when doing jumping jacks or the like. He absolutely would not refer me to a podiatrist upon my request stating that I didn’t need it. He also looked at my foot for 2 seconds before making this determination. The final straw--I have had a heart murmur since I was approximately 8 or 10 years old. Dr. DeAngelis refused to prescribe my pre-medication Amoxicillin prior to oral surgery even through it was in my medical records which they failed to obain from my prior doctors. I am not an uneducated or naive person by any means... but going to Dr. Deangelis was the most unintelligent decision I ever made. Do not make the same mistake. It is like pulling teeth!

I moved to Woodhaven 2 yrs. ago. I signed a release to transfer or what I thought was transferring, my records from Oakwood Canton to Dr DeAngeliss office. I havent had many visits with this doctor, however, I did experience his outburst/rudeness. It started a month ago; I became sick with whatever bug is going around? He gave me a steroid shot and a z pack, which did not work. I went back a month later (still sick) and ask to see my chart so I could suggest what my doctor in Canton gave me (that worked every-time) he advised me thats not how it works, Doctors like to make their own diagnoses and go from there. I than, was advised my records were never transfer, I asked the doctor why, he stated ” thats Oakwood’s fault for not sending them”! Then he asked me, if I ever quit smoking? ” No I didn’t, Im still working on it". He aggressively stated “That’s why you’re sick! And if you’re not going to quit I cant treat you anymore, and if you dont believe me you can find a new doctor" at this point Im in utter shock that a doctor would be that aggressive and take that tone with their patient. He then offered me a script for chantex, if he would have bothered to look in my chart, he would have seen he already gave me a script over a month ago? ( it gave me terrible nightmares). So the long and short of it....He threw Oakwood Canton under the bus, because he didnt follow up on his new patients records, nor did he ever try to get to know me. He had way entirely too much pride to look at another doctors notes, to see what could take care of this bug I had. Just a very unnecessary bad experience. I will note; his staff has always been professional, very courteous never rude with me.

I called the office and got right in this morning. I was so sick with strep throat. It took all my energy just to get to the doctor after spending the last 2 days in bed also I had my son and grandbaby with me. The staph was so good with the kids and they knew I wasnt feeling well AT ALL! They had me in and out quickly wich is what I needed. Im still not quite myself but feeling better after my dose of antibiotics. (Unfortunately I had a 45 minute wait at meijer pharmacy, but thats a different story.) THANK YOU Dr. DeAngelis and staph for helping me feel better today, you all were such a blessing!!!!!

I have used both the office and their website at various times and have always had a good experience. The web site lets you schedule appointments, ask questions, submit a prescription refill request, and pay bills (amoung other things). It has various articles on heath and diet that Ive actually read and made use of. The staff and Dr. DeAngelis have always been friendly and done their best to accomodate me and my (at times) unusal requests. My daughter just turned 18 and was looking for a Primary Care Physician - I recommended Dr. DeAngelis immediately.

I was skeptical of the reviews below since I read more favorable reviews online, but they are 100% accurate. My experience is very similar to the people below. I dont know where this clown went to med school, but I tell you he must have the easiest job in the world because the only thing hes good at is writing prescriptions and treating colds. If you are looking for competence, look elsewhere.

I have been seeing Dr. DeAngelis for over 7 years. He is the most honest and intelligent Doctor that ever seen. His appointments are scheduled wonderfully there is very little wait. I really cant understand why there are any bad reviews.
