My grandma was recently at resident at Stonegate. I was excited to read of their culture and their dedication to providing excellent care and service to their residents. I was terribly dissapointed by what we actually experienced. Aside from the physical therapy department - we did not have a good experience. She wasnt cared for her based on her needs or what was in her best interest, no one ever had a direct answer or suggestion on what is next. I was always that someone didnt know an answer and there was no urgency in finding one. I 100% believe that her quality of care was dependent on the amount of time my family was at the facility begging them for the assistance her situation requires. It just appears that there wasnt a specific game plane or care plan for my grandma. I had to write up a treatment plan and present it to them and keep track of things. When they discharged her back to Devonshire, they didnt put an order in for her oxygen nor did they send over any of her medication. (I had to drive back and pick them up so she could have medicine that night). Its sad. She has spent so much of her life taking care of others. It just feels that Stonegate is WAY TOO BIG for their management abilities. The training is lacking and the follow through is horrible. Their marketing is nice though - so I hope it doesnt draw people in too quickly. They need to be able to not only set amazing expectations but deliver on them!

I am finding the same thing as was posted on the review previous to mine. It is becoming very frustrating. No one will listen to me. There is no communication. One person tells you one thing, then someone else tells you something else. I and my family are very disappointed lately in the care we are getting for my Mom. No one knows what the other is doing. If you do not keep track yourself nothing gets done. She has been here now for one year, and I really hate to move her, but Im afraid that may need to happen if something doesnt happen to the positive in the next few weeks or months. They def. need more trained staff.... GOOD trained staff, because right now I am not seeing it. Will keep checking on here for more reviews.

I, thought that I could take My Mom out for the day, I let the nurse know 4 days prier to doing so. I get mom back to my place and then she lets me know that the stone gate nurse had given her a laxative. Needles to say that her being wheelchair bound had to have help using the toilet, She went 3 times during her visit. then When I got her back she needed to go again. The on site staff worker was a big help. She came to my rescue. Im sad to think that this was almost a set-up. Why would they give a laxative to someone going out for the day? Thank you to the nurse that helped make her have a good day out.------Not!""" , pissed off son!

My grandmother has been at Stonegate for almost two years now and the staff there has taken wonderfull care of her. The skilled nurses and aides go above and beyond to ensure her happiness and health and myself and my family could not be happier with the care she has received. I would highly recommend Stonegate to anyone looking to place a loved one in skilled, educated, committed, caring, compassionate hands. Thank you again Stonegate staff!

Stone-gate was an answer to prayer for us. My Dad had a stroke and was taken there for recovery and rehab. They worked with him every day even though his Alzheimers Disease was moving at a fast rate. We are thankful for the skilled nurses, aids, cooks, house keeping and everyone who has been so kind, loving and dedicated to the care of my Dad. THANK YOU is not enough for all you have done......God Bless You All.
