********** URGENT PLEASE READ ******* I didnt want to write this review, but this MUST be known. My name is Adam and I had a 4 year old male cat named Banks. Banks unfortunately contracted a corona virus and then developed Feline infectious peritonitis (FIP). I took him to a cat specialty clinic in Arlington Heights, IL who confirmed this diagnosis. According to Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, the average life span after a confirmed diagnosis of FIP is 9 days, and Banks was on day 4 and the virus was already ravaging his body. I couldnt bare to watch the results of this virus on my best friend knowing the rapid level of deterioration and pain he would face given his evident decline in health, so I opted to have Banks euthanized. I purchased a package to have his remains individually cremated and returned in a urn to me so I could have some closure. You see, Banks was not just a cat, but my best friend and apart of my family... I needed him way more than he ever needed me. He was there for me through thick and thin and his presence brought joy to my life. I put Banks down on Saturday, May 27th, 2017 at approximately 5:22 PM CDT. I was told I would get his ashes back within 5-10 business days. Today is June 12th, 2017 and still no word from BluePearl. I called BluePearl and was instantly transferred to a manager (to keep my professionalism I will not use names). I was told that they do not have Banks ashes and the reason for this is because BluePearl inaccurately tagged his bag and put Banks in a communal cremation pit, where his ashes were mixed and scattered along with other pets whose owners didnt want their pets ashes. Then his ashes, mixed along with the other ashes, were discarded. Thrown away like trash. I paid $475 dollars for this package and the best they could do was give me the cost of the cremation service back which was approximately $276 dollars and change. There was no empathy or consideration to the emotional pain it has caused to know I will never be able to have Banks near me again. This is a mistake that you cant take back. There is nothing that can correct the careless error made by a member of the BluePearl staff. Im very torn up and shocked over what has occurred - the unprofessional behavior exhibited and complete and utter negligence of a simple, routine task that is a fundamental element of the job is astounding. I cant even believe or even wrap my head around the fact that I had to have that conversation today. All I wanted was closure. All I asked for was his ashes to have a part of him with me... and BluePearl has successfully taken that away from me. I wouldnt wish this feeling of helplessness upon my worst enemies. Please reconsider taking your pet, your friend, your family member to this facility. I hope you all can benefit from my loss and pain. Sincerely Adam

Waited 7 hours to give my dog a C section. By the time they did she did not recover from the anestesia. She died. I had almost a $4,000.00 bill and a dead family member :( She had uterine inertia witch requires IMMEDIATE surgery. They gave her patosin instead 2 does. I was told by an attorney all was done wrong and directed to civil sue by 2019. Be carful. People and places do make mistakes. I was charged for trying to do CPR on her when she died , it was an additional almost $200 charge. I was left with 3 babies they all died within 2 weeks. It was a horriable experience and no one was even kind or compasionate. The name of this place I will never forget. Notice that the owner only responds to those that leave good reviews. Instead of condoling those that have been hurt or wronged. Those guests dont need your attention, sir. The others do. You can tell how they are just by that!

We had a very sick dog who ended up needing emergency surgery. The outcome was not at all what we expected or wanted but I do not think that anything else could have been done to save him. the staff was so kind and even during our dogs last moments I felt like they were viewing him as their own dog. My only complaint was that we had to go pick up dukes paw print at the hospital after he passed. It took us months to be able to even get the courage to go pick up the paw print and when we finally did go they had literally just mailed it to us the day before. I would highly recommended mailing this keepsake to people right away and let them know it will be mailed! Having to go back to the final place that they saw their pet is not easy...

Our dog was severely ill with pneumonia and our regular vet recommended we take her to a 24/7 hospital for a 24 hr period. We took her to the Elk Grove Village, IL location. She wasnt eating, drinking, only coughing. The staff was extremely courteous, answered multiple phone calls and questions promptly. We were able to visit our dog and were helpful in setting that up. I just got home from picking her up and the first thing she did was go straight to her food bowl. Shes full of energy, not coughing all that much and is a completely different dog from what she was a day ago. We are so thankful for Blue Pearl, and especially Dr. Cross at the EGV location for taking great care of our loved one. 5 stars isnt enough.

We use BluePearl for our emergency vet (having 2 Labs and a Lab mix, its a given, that you will end up at an emergency vet eventually). I just took my black Lab there last weekend, after he devoured 3 lbs of Beef Jerky dog treats in record time. The staff was quick and friendly and brought us to a room right away. They took my boy right back and gave him the drugs to make him throw up and administered some fluids. The doc came in with the evidence and talked me through, what was done and what they suggest to do from there. Love the vet and the staff! And sadly admit, that they already recognize us *haha*. Thank you for your great care at any time of the day and week from Ranger, Elvis and Molly

I recently came here with my dog who was having a seizure. It was too late by the time we got there but the staff that helped was amazing. Bedside manor that people dream of and consideration of a situation that couldnt be anymore professional. The doctor broke the news to us about our dogs passing but took the extra time to explain what happened what caused it and gave us all the time we wanted to grieve.... I feel terrible that I dont remember her name I believe it started with a J though. One of the toughest days ever but they couldnt of made it any easier for us. Great staff super clean facility I wish they did general practices there because Id bring my new dogs there in a heartbeat.

We brought a stray cat who was very ill and they treated him as kindly and gently as they would treat a beloved pet. We couldnt have asked for better care, or a better balance of kindness and professionalism from vets and staff.
