I am going to share what happened with our dog just to warn other owners about this disgusting place (both Banfield and Petsmart): 1. We used to take our dog to cut his nails at this place until suddenly he started licking his front paws like crazy. At the beginning we didnt pay that much attention to that issue, but it got worst with the time. After about 4 weeks we decided to go to the Vet (Banfield) to see what was wrong on his paws, but also to reinforce his vaccines. 2. The second part is when everything went even worst. So, on saturday October 22nd he was getting his vaccines and a simple test to know what was causing him to lick his paws, period. After almost 10 hours they called us to pick him up. The vet didnt come to see us and explain us anything, the young girl at the front desk seemed nervous and with no clue about what was been done on him, she just gave us some pills because our dog supposed to have an infections on his paws, and then she just asked for our credit card. Worst customer service ever! The next evening, 24 hours after we his visit to Banfield he started to bleed in his urine! We got in chock! We went back to Banfield the next day (Monday, Oct 24th); they run other test on him and the answer was they couldnt find anything wrong on him! Come on! For me it is just that you have done something very bad that you can not tell the truth to your customer. Now after being there twice, spent our money and our time; we dont know whats going on with our baby and either could fix his paws infection because they said we should stop the antibiotics they sent us. PLEASE DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR, FIND OTHER VET , BUT GO AWAY FROM BANFIELD.

I purchased their Wellness plan for my Kitten that they praise as gold and the ultimate money saver and was SCAMMED. The Assistant told me it would cover all major surgeries, operations and procedures including: Neuters and declaws. I come to find out I was mislead. I paid for the operations out of pocket because the Manager said only some things are covered. Then down the road, I find out my kitten has an umbilical Hernia that the Nurses AND Doctors didnt find, out of all 7 plus of my visits and guess what, they wont cover the procedure and gave me an estimate of $1400 plus to fix it. This plan basically covers your shots and neuter. You will probably save more money just paying out of pocket regardless since it was come out almost the same. All the company could do was issue an apology with a big F-U sign basically. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PLAN. Read all the other terrible review about how hard it is to even schedule an appointment. It is a nightmare! There are so many other things wrong with this hospital but everyones review will help clarify. This lesson cost me a fortune.

i can only give it 3 stars based on their comprehensive care. Immunizations and routine care are The whole reason i chose Banfield is because of convenience and because its very near to our home. WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WHEN MY DOG HAD AN EMERGENCY, LIFE THREATENING EMERGENCY AND THEY TRIED TO SEND ME TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION ( an hour away) or schedule me 2 weeks away for an appointment. If they advertise themselves an an "ANIMAL HOSPITAL", they should have someone there offering emergency room services. WAS EXTREMELY DISAPOINTED. Wound up going to GOLFROSE ANIMAL HOSPITAL where my dog was immediately seen, and had surgery the next day. BOTTOM LINE, BANFIELD IS A PLACE TO GET BASIC SERVICES, YOU CANT COUNT ON THEM IN AN EMERGENCY

When Banfield moved from Arlington Heights to Mt. Prospect the staff changed and for the better!! I LOVE the doctors here. The best bedside manner and so compassionate! They understand my needs and concerns and have taken care of my dogs with the same care that I would if I were a vet. I highly recommend this location.
