First, I would say Dr. Forde was very nice, and knowledgeable and pleasant. Second however, Newsome Eye is one giant rip-off factory and not only will I never set foot in their facility again but further I intend to let everyone I know that you would be crazy to go to this place. It had been recommended to me by a neighbor, and I will have words with them later! At my old doctor in Delray after MULTIPLE tests I ended up owing a $60 copay. Newsome called me to tell me I would have to pay $70...and I thought for a $10 difference I would keep the appointment. Imagine my surprise when checking out that they wanted $218, because NOW I was told the $70 was only for the "contact exam". Further, one of the tests my old doctor always preformed I was told by Newsome I would have to come back in a month to have done, for another whole charge of course! In my opinion, Newsome is a factory designed to bring in more and more money with each visit. On top of all else, I had to take my contacts out for the tests they did do, and my old doctor always gave me a new pair to replace them. I was told by Newsome they would do that as well, but after all said and done they did not have any lenses to give me!! $218 and I could not even get a single replacement contact!! Also, the old doctor charged $50 per box of 6...Newsome wants $$75! Extremely displeased and disappointed with the overall experience and needless to say I will NOT be making the follow-up appointment they asked for and further I will never set foot in one of their facilitates again and I would urge anyone looking for a new eye doctor to search elsewhere. Newsome is an eye factory looking to make as much money as possible off each patient and after paying $218 today I can only say fool me once, shame on you! There will never be chance for them to fool me again!! By the way, in order to post you have to give a minimum rating of 1 star! If I could have posted this with NO stars, I would have!!!

February 18th I had an eye exam for new glasses at Newsome Eyes Sebring. For starter; neither the assistant nor Dr. Petit could get Eye Testing machine to work, so I never had a complete exam. When my glasses came in three weeks later Tammy said, "oh you were eligible for an upgrade and tried to pass off a progressive lens on me. Couldnt do it! In the meantime I had contacted my former Optometrist to figure out what my lens were. I had distance and where the bifocal lens would be, there was an intermediate lens instead for computer work. So, Newsome couldnt get it through their head and Tammy kept saying its a "lined bifocal!" It isnt, its an intermediate lens. Newsome wouldnt remake lens because they already had; their fault, so I asked for a refund. Insurance paid nearly $500.00 and my out of pocket was$271.00. Now they are taking 30% for the refund. I wouldnt recommend Newsomse Eyes to my neighbor cat. Now I have to start all over with another doctor while waiting up to 60 days for refund!

I recently returned from out of town to receive a statement from you. On my last visit to the office in Sebring prior to surgery,when checking out the scheduling clerk presented with a request for over $1k, for 2 bills, 1 for the Dr and,1 for the surgery center. This had not been shared with me previously and so it was a surprise as the clerk stated.i advised her,I could not pay at that time Had I been,advised of the 2 bills would have walked out at that time. The day before surgery I called the office and asked for a payment plan,which was unsatisfactory to me. I therefore cancelled the surgery. Due to the deception, i,font believe I owe,you anything.
