Before I begin, let me say that I always try to understand the other person s side and think of every possible reason for them to be this way... But at Daytona Eye Center I just can t find any. Every time I ve been to the office, I m greeted with this I don t want to be here and I don t want you to be here either face. The women at the counter will blatantly ignore you until you say something even though they can see you. On the other hand, the doctors are absolutely wonderful and know exactly what they re doing and they do it well. On another note don t expect politeness when calling them either. Many many times I ve called and been put on hold for ridiculous amounts of time for simple things, as an example, A woman picked up the phone, didn t even ask why I was calling, and put me on hold for 12 minutes and then hung up on me. All I wanted was to see if my glasses had come in. When I called back, i was on hold for 5 and they asked me my name twice and still messed up on the third and gave up and just said they weren t there. Not to mention when I was there they accidentally put another patients name and info (including social number) in my folder and I believe that violates HIPPA.

My husband had an emergency situation that we have been through more than once. We are new to this practice but my husband had a vitreous detachment and needed an ophthalmologist. He has been for contacts with the wait time of way too long. It is a Friday also. We called to get referred to an ophthalmologist but, of course, they wanted to see him first advising him to bring $50 since it was considered medical emergency, and it is. They just wanted that money and then after we were there they referred us to an ophthalmologist telling us and I quote, "We cant help him he needs a retina specialist." That kind of burned me up since that is what we were asking for to begin with. Doctor seemed nice in passing. Husband says he is ok. I have no knowledge of him. Just a tech of some sort with an attitude. I hope I can talk him in to finding another eye doc.

This eye Center has very rude employees. I am a very polite person and very patient as well but wow they all act like they put up with a lot of bad things all day or they all need vacations. It is definitely a lower-class place to go. My husband and I waited over an hour and a half to see the Doctor with an appointment. Very Nice Doctor but once you are in he is very fast to get you through. We went home with trial pair of contacts but still could not see correct. Went back sec day and did all again, Still did not see correct. So we went to a different doctor, There they could not believe they given us the Prescription that they did. Trust me pay a little more and get a lot better for you eyes.Your eyes are so important.

My Family has gone here for over 20 years. Over the past few years service has declined. We like Dr Kevin, and a couple of the long time employees, but service has gotten so bad over the past several years that we can no longer return. The pathetic attitudes of the majority of the staff has made going here painful. I understand waiting 2-3 weeks to get an appointment, and holding on the phone 15-20 minutes if the rest of the service is excellent, but it isnt. The employees act as if you owe them something for the inconvenience of having to acknowledge your existence every time you walk through the door. This just proves...If you find something you like , dont worry it will change.

They are absolutely horrible. You call you either get put on hold for 20mins then disconnected call back and get voicemail. I came in a month ago ordered glasses supposed to be done in 8 days. A month later they cant find them no idea whats going on. State they will make them they will be done the following Thursday by 10:30am. I call at 11 they still are not done they are supposed to call when finished this has been on going for over a month! Still no glasses. I go in to get my glasses an adjustment I sit and wait for and hour before I walk out. . They have no idea what is going on or how the place needs ran its a joke.

I am now a loyal customer, Prices for contacts are very competitive, Dr. Broome and his eye care docs and their direct staff are competent and pleasant and answer all of my questions, the ONLY issue is the occasional front office staff member (Chris; I take names when I am treated rudely) who is not on the same page. I am a tough customer when I get pushback, when service is poor, when there is reason. I do my homework, on-line pricing from Lensdirect and Hubble are the same as Dr. Broomes pricing! Finally, I was a walk-in...service was prompt and pleasant. Chris answered my phone call and needs to find another job!

Been trying to make an appointment for the last four weeks every time you call they put you on hold for about 30 minutes. Thought that was a good sign at first. Theres one lady in particular her name is I believe Debbie or Debra that answers the phone with the most rudest attitude I have yet to encounter. They are quick to call you a few days before your appointment to verify your insurance but when you have questions for them again you get put on hold based on this encounter alone I will not make an appointment their.

This is the most horrible experience I have ever had with ANY company that provides goods & services in ANY capacity. They are slow, rude & unprofessional. The thing is there is really no reason to write a review because they have had horrible reviews for years & still no changes. I tried just sticking it out with them because they are down the street from my job, but at this point Id rather buy contact lenses from the flea market (not really). Just bad business.

Me and my son went in on Wednesday to pick up my son glasses. We were the only customers in there. But did we get waited on in a timely fashion, no. I counted 7 women in there and one doctor standing around chatting. Well one of the woman felt that the floor was more important than the customer because she processed to sweep the floor instead of waiting on us. I sit there 20 mins before she stop sweeping and called my sons name. Poor poor customer service.

Its now the 16th day I do not have my glasses !! They told me 14, Ive called for the last week every day and the employees got additude because I am calling, they say that they will call you, but when my sisters glasses came in, then didnt. It wasnt until 2 days later when we called and asked that they told us they where read . Such a slow place and very limited frames for my insurance.
