Both of my dogs have been patients at BBVC for almost ten years and every experience has been stellar! The staff is amazing; the Doctors, Vet Techs, and Office Administrators all take the time to get to know their patients (both pet owners & their pets). You are always greeted with a warm friendly smile and a serious concern for your pets visit. Dr. Randall, Dr. Sulner and Dr. Schroepfer all take a personal interest in your pets health. We have been seen by all three doctors and always leave the clinic feeling well informed and confident that we received the very best care. It is very clean and always smells fresh. The prices are fair and reasonable. Not that I would ever put a price on the care for my dogs, but this clinic has NEVER overcharged us or made us feel that we paid too much. This Clinic treats you & your pet like one of their own - family. They will take the time to explain your pets health (test results, medicine, treatment, etc.) in laymans terms. Dr. Schroepfer has been our primary Dr. for years now and we just LOVE him! He ALWAYS takes the time to return my calls the same day and has called as late as 7:30 in the evening with test results. I dont know very many doctors who would go to those lengths, but this is the quality of care youll receive here....nothing less. Both of my dogs required surgery last year, and had it not been for Dr. Schroepfers thorough examination and early detection, my one dog would of been left with a permanent disability and the other could have died. I cant say enough wonderful things about BBVC. We are eternally grateful for all they have done and continue to do for us! You will receive top notch service here from a staff that is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate.

Not happy! the staff upfront are professional and polite, but the unknowable coustomer should be aware, this clinic charges for unnecessary blood tests, and does not diagnosis properly. My husband who is not a vet tech brought our cat in because he was sick, and they were the first clinic opened. They changed him $600 dollars for tests that were not related to the problem. They took X-Rays which showed the cat did not have anything seriously wrong with him. However they did not disclose honestly what they were doing. After 1 whole day of observation they failed(lied) and stated that my cat did not have an upper respiratory infection. I myself a vet tech for 15 years brought my cat back the next day, after they broke the blood samples being sent out to the labs. I asked how what they did and the tests had nothing to do with finding any infections then they lied to me about it. Because they lied i asked many questions, and recieved free antibiotics free x-ray scan and free shots. However, if i had no knowledge of veterinary medicine i too would have been taken for a ride praying for my cat to get better, when they got the diagnosis wrong from the start. Consumers beware- they feed on your emotions rather than giving you the whole story! I will never go there again!

My older cat had all of his services rendered by this facility. He had a problem with the stitching that was suppose to fall out for a declawing and I had to take him back to resolve it. This is the first vet I have ever gone to so I have nothing to compare it with. Everything cost me about $800.00. I thought there prices were high but never questioned it because I thought this was the prevailing rate for a vet. Now I have a new kitten. I just got off the phone today with a receptionist named Carolina (pronounced Caroleena) and asked if they could negotiate their price because my husband is now out of work and I need to have my new cat serviced. She did not try to accommodate me at all and rattled off their fees. The fee was $47.00 for an office visit and $30.00 per shot and $280.00 to fix my new female cat. Can you believe that!?! I just called Petco. They have a vaccination clinic first come first serve. All shots inclusive were a total of $42.00 for cats. There is a facility located in Hillside, NJ called People for Animals that will spade a cat for only $50.00. They are a non-profit organization. So this is where I will be taking my new cat.

I have been going to BBV for over 4 Decades. Dr. Platt was the original owner/Vet back in the 70s who actually took care of my lambs broken leg when we had a farm in Piscataway, as well as our numerous dogs and cats through the years. Dr.Randall came on board out of college and Dr. Platt took him under his wing. I have grown up watching Dr. Randall succeed in his practice and also give a lot of compassion and understanding to my late old fashioned mother, who used to refer to him as "Dr.Randy" . She loved her animals and always trusted their care to BBV as well. I could not trust my beloved animals with any other office either. Their expertize and care has been demonstrated many times over. It is always a pleasure to see everyone at BBV and to know it will be the same caring staff treating my animals at each visit. I recently brought my cat and she is doing much better which prompted me to write this review and show my gratitude. Thanks Dr. Randall, Gucci thanks you too! Ann Kulmatycky

First of all this place doesnt even deserve one star after what I saw during 2 visits here. One of my first few visits here I had noticed people were singing and goofing off in what seemed to be the surgery room as I was checking out. The door clearly said surgery room. Im shocked at how the focus is taken off the animal that is under going surgery. I was very concerned about this and had seconds thought about putting my animal through surgery at this practice!! Well during my visit last week I noticed someone had walked out of the surgery room and was headed around the corner, thats when I overheard someone say a dog hadnt made it through their surgery!!!!! I couldnt believe this!!! Clearly their focus isnt on our vets!!! I will be finding a new vet where my pet will be cared for as if it was their own!!!! This is very disturbing!! I feel sorry for the person who lost their pet that day!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!

First of all to all the people complaining about this vet caring to much about money, its a business. I work for a vet hospital, not this one, and our prices are about the same. Hospital equipment is expensive, theyre are charging you a fair fee to give your pet the best quality care. We dont all care about money, we care about your pets. Places giving out cheaper care arent going to be giving the high quality care as good hospitals. And no offense if you dont have money or a job, dont get a pet. They are expensive and you need to be able to care for them as you would a child. So dont complain when you obviously have no idea what your talking about.

Although the vets were very nice to my animals, all they care about is money. I took my dog here because she was acting very lethargic and was sick, they told me they were gonna run some x-rays (250$) and take blood (90$) they then called me back and told me she needed surgery that would cost 4,000 dollars! There was no way I could afford this and my husband had just gotten surgery not even a month ago and was out of work. I explained this to them and asked for some kind of payment plan but they didnt have any and was not willing to work with me. They dont care about the animals at all, they only care about making money
