Having seen at least four other vets in surrounding areas, we found this to be the best of them all. We went there under sad circumstances wherein another vet had asked for ultrasound for our 10 year old dog as he suddenly collapsed & lost use of his back legs & bloodwork in another vets office came back normal & they wanted us to wait fir 2-3 days for an ultrasound. We decided to find another vet in area who would do the ultrasound & found this office. We went to Cranbury Animal Hospital & saw Dr Rafla. After listening to us describe our situation & examining Sunny our dog he told us there is no need for an ultrasound but we should do a chest x-ray instead. Somehow we felt we should follow his advice & did the x-ray & found out there was a huge tumor & our dog was having problems even breathing. If we would have gone to them in the first place, without any other tests, he would have found this out. Having found the reason, Dr Rafla was very sympathetic & told us that there is nothing much we can do & that our dog is dying no matter what. We listened to him & felt secure in knowing that ending his life would mean painless death for our belived family member. Dr Rafla & Peter, his office manager who helped us get Sunny in from the car, were extremely friendly & knowledgeable. Peter, stayed with us through the euthanasia procedure & even came out to tell us how sorry he was. We even received a card with paw print as a memory from their office. I cant say enough good things about them. We will always use their office now on for all our fur babies. We even met Dr Herlekar on another visit & she was super friendly & caring. Thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful & caring practice.

THANK YOU FOR PROVING MY POINT THAT YOU ARE NOT THE VET YOU USED TO BE! Trying to call me out for not taking my cat t the vet for 7 years. I told you at the time and told two people in your office that my other cat was traumatized by the crating and trip so I switched to a mobile vet for his health and well being until I moved to Georgia. Made no sense to have to vets. When I returned to NJ, i brought both my cats there with up to date medical records. Unfortunately the other cat with the travel issue passed away in Georgia. At least one of your staff offer a sorry to hear that. AS FOR MY CATS TOOTH YOU REFERENCE HIS MOLAR BUT HE CAME HOME MISSING HIS FRONT TOOTH. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN! Not the Cranbury Animal Hospital used to be. The one positive thing is a vet technician was competent and considerate. The office staff while they smiled at you were unorganized and came off as incompetent. I took my cats here for a routine visit and shots. My one cat require dental surgery which they warned me the advance could probably cost more than the estimate. He was having scaling done on his back teeth. They called during the surgery to say that additional work was needed of course at an extra cost. I could have lived with that but I couldnt live with with the fact that he came home missing front teeth and I just had an issue with drooling ever since. Theres a reason why they have a" business manager" because thats what this place is all about not care business. I do understand that it is a business that needs to make money like all other businesses but I prefer my vet to have a touch of humanity and properly care for my pets. The kind of place Cranbury Animal Hospital used to be.

The doctor seemed very nice spent a lot of time talking to me about how well he handled aggressive dogs. Well, that was not the case with my little shih tzu. The first visit went o.k. and I received medication to help with his doctor/groomer anxiety. I did have to pay around over 150 for him to be groomed -- fine. The second time I took him for grooming they told me NOT to give him the anxiety medicine that they could handle it. A couple of hours later they told me to come and pick up the dog that they could not groom him or treat him medically because he was trying to bite everyone. They said I had to pay $300 to have him groomed under anesthesia. I explained that he was fine the first time with the medicine but they did not care and basically said pay the $300 or too bad. I said I would have to put the dog to sleep if he couldnt be treated. They said sorry and I could find another vet if I wanted. They did not care what happened to my dog. He is not the Dog Whisperer he thinks he is!

I called to ask a few questions about services they offered for my dog. I was put on hold immediately after presenting my questions. Six minutes later she (Cathy) came back to the phone and said you wanted an estimate right?, then hung up on me. I call right back and she answers with Cranbury Animal Hospital, please hold. I waited for another 5 minutes then finally hang up. If you cannot even get through to ask questions, or even be given basic customer service, then I can only imagine the treatment my dog would receive.
