I had a very terrible first-time experience at this location. I will start by saying the receptionist, Jennifer, is very kind, sympathetic, and professional. However, Dr. Karl Standifer was extremely neglectful and inconsiderate. I was a first-time patient, and had already waited 25 minutes while regular patients walked in and were seen immediately. I was okay with this, because Jennifer was still inputting my info into the system. Totally understandable. Once Jennifer told me I would be seen next, two regulars walked in. She informed them they may have a little wait due to a new patient. Dr Karl then came out into the waiting area, saw the regulars, and greeted them. He then asked "where is my new patient?" And I introduced myself. His next response was "Im going to take back this other gentleman first. Youre a new patient, and will take longer, so I am going to take him, and then him (referring to the second regular that walked in after me) back before you" I was completely appalled by this. This business clearly does not need, or want, ANY new patients, if this is the level of respect I am given on our first face-to-face encounter. Jennifer did call me later to offer a free visit, but I think a call directly from the Doctor would have been better since he is the one that was disrespectful. Time is Money Doc; if you dont care about your patients, we wont care about you. Youd be better off leaving the work cue to Jennifer; she is at least competent, and kind.

Amazing that I can just walk in and get an adjustment. Yes, I waited about 8 minutes, but it didnt bother me because if lots of people were waiting, it must be good! The Joint ONLY does routine wellness care, so if you have an acute injury you will need to see a DC that cares for acute patients. Too many people dont educate themselves before seeking services and then they come on these review sites and start blasting companies when it is really their own fault for not knowing what the company actually does! I think the Joint is amazing and making it affordable and accessible is exactly what we all need!

The chiropractor does not do a thorough job. Hell crack you with just a few techniques (bad techniques at that) and expects you to leave for the next person, its over in less than a few minutes. He needs to thoroughly feel for problems in the muscle/joints throughout the body and it would help to consult the patients as well. Unfortunately I would not recommend this place. Its lackluster at best

Ive been adjusted by at least 20 different Chiropractors and Dr Keenan gives the best adjustment! I love he can adjust my lower back by just having me lean back into his fist. Its low impact - but effective! I live in Orange County, but dont hesitate to make the drive to Long Beach to be adjusted by Dr Keenan. I love the the membership plan that provides 4 adjustments for $49.

This is a great place to get a back adjustment if you havent been to a chiropractor before. The staff and Dr. are very friendly and do a great job of walking you through the process. The only reason I didnt give them 5 stars was because they do not take issuance and some people might want them to.

Learned the hard way that regular chiro care equals better health overall. Before The Joint, I went to a chiro once or twice only because of unbearable pain, then stopped going till next time. Regular maintenance is where its at. The Joint is affordable and a great service, even on weekends.
