The receptionists are very kind but I have been treated poorly twice now by a vet tech named Christina. Each time and I talked down to and feel judged despite there not being any reasons to be judged. Christina did not really do a whole lot of explaining until there was a complaint made. Often times I felt like I was being given a sales pitch and did not really get what it had to do with anything. I felt like she was more selling products than informing me on how to better care for my animals. When working in this field, it is important to explain things to your clients in a way they would understand since not all clients have a background in this. However, everyone was kind to my animals and my husband. The vet tech was just rude to me when I would come without my husband and made me feel poorly twice and for that I will no longer be taking my animals to this place anymore. I feel for as much as I am paying them that they could at least be respectful and informative. Instead they acted like I was a liar and assumed things about how I care for my animals instead of actually asking or reading their own records or asking for the clinics I have received vaccinations from. If you do go here, try not to get Christina. Not only will she not explain things well, but she will also treat you with disrespect and give you some unfair accusations.

So far I have just spoken with them on the phone and she was nice and helpful. I will put up another post about the appointment tomorrow Okay I just came back and I liked them. They really do push vaccinations., though. I think they are good vets and nice people. I struggle in this world because my beliefs are different about vaccinations for animals ,kids and people. the only vaccine i still believe in is polio vaccine for people. So it is getting harder and harder for me to go to a vet. Many animals are sick from all these vaccines . When i was small i almost died of vaccines. My son was the same. So i am not impressed with the vaccine theory. I am hoping fr new laws that allow people to have other viewpoints. secondly, when is the last tiemyou saw an animal with rabies, foaming at the mouth these days is usually poison. i have lived 55 years and have not seen rabies ever. I do not think any of their vaccines prevent anything

I used to love this clinic. Ive been bringing my first cat here for 1.5 years and my second cat for five months. I always tried to stay calm when there are several large, loud dogs coming up to me and my cat in the waiting room. But its just not a big enough space to have so many animals in there at once. My elderly cat has been sick since I got her (she was dying when I adopted her) and I always paid vet bills over my own needs. Everyone told me they thought my vet was overcharging me but I ignored it, until now. I took my elderly cat in a few days ago because I found tumors and saw a vet I dont usually see. She grabbed my cat (feeling for tumors) and just said "it needs to come out"... There was zero compassion. They gave me a cost breakdown of all the services I need for her and I shared it with a friend and compared prices. Theyve been taking advantage of me for five months. I given them $1500, in five months.

We had been with Dr Roberts for many years and many dogs. When my dog Ellie became ill we called the office. After many days and calls, multiple visits to the office, some leaving Ellie there for observation, they could not find the cause. On a Friday I was advised to rush Ellie to the Emergency Hospital in North OKC. We did and for a week, 2 surgeries ( staples from end to end) the found a blockage. Tissue had already died and would not hold sutures nor staples. Then on Sat we were called with grim news to get there and get there fast. Ellie had to be euthanized, she could stand no more surgery and was dying. $6000.00 later I lost my girl. @ vets at Sooner Clinic could not find the problem and sent me to another facility. Sooner Vet should have taken financial responsiblity or at least offered. My dog is dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have been to see Dr. Russell many times over many years with our dogs and have had good experiences. Recently my 16 year old cat, who had been very healthy, became sick and I took her to Dr. Russell. He was very compassionate and honest telling me that due to her age and condition she would probably not live much longer. We discussed possible options and probable results. After much discussion (& patience on his part), we decided to put her to sleep gently. It was a very hard decision, and I was upset, but felt it was probably best. I so appreciate Dr. Russells honesty. I have heard so many horror stories from others about vets/hospitals who run up huge bills on pets, only to have them die anyway. Thank you Dr. Russell for your kindness, compassion and honesty.

We have been taking our dogs and cats to Dr. Russell at Sooner Vet for over two decades (thats over 20 years). Compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable are the key words I would use to describe the vets and vet techs at Sooner Vet. ONE time in all those years I got a new vet that I didnt like as well; that vet is no longer there. ALL the other vets are very, very good with the animals. Dr. Russell monitors how the team practices and manages things extremely well. BTW, I wouldnt trust a review by someone who doesnt even know the correct name of the vet yet *claims* to have gone to that vet for "many years" with "many dogs." (Also, I would ask, why "many" dogs?)

This place is trash. They told me my dog was in exceptional health when I brought him in for a checkup, even though he appeared to be in pain. That didnt stop them from keeping him for a whole weekend, and charging me thousands of dollars to do so. His condition didnt improve, so I took him to a competing vet, who quickly diagnosed him with a motor neuron disease and found a large lipoma in his groin that Sooner Vet missed. I also found out that my dog tested positive for Ehrlichia at Sooner Vet, and I was never informed. I only found out when the new vet pulled my chart from them. Im beyond angry, and I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

I visited Sooner Veterinary Hospital for the first time today with my Beagle dog. They were extremely knowledgeable and very willing to answer, in detail, all of my many questions. The staff was friendly, kind and competent and the veterinarian did not push unnecessary treatments or products as many others do. We did have a short wait, but I can only imagine it was because the doctor was being thorough with another patient. I dont mind the wait as long as my dog and I are treated as wonderfully as we were. They also had very reasonable prices. I will be using them from now on and I hope you give them a try.
