I went in with a cracked tooth. I asked for a repair but they stated a root canal would be better. I asked if they could put in a crown instead. The dentist said the tooth could be sensitive for several weeks. I still wanted to save the tooth so agreed. The pain when the anesthesia wore off was unbearable to a person with a very high pain threshold. I called the number provided because it the pain was not in a place I should have felt it. I new it was infected. The nurse reached out to the dentist but I was left the whole day in excruciating pain and it wasnt until my second call that the frustrated nurse told me to take multiple tylenols. I asked again about antibiotics. Nothing was prescribed. It was 2 weeks or torture before the dentist could see me. I get there and someone else starts doing all these X-rays. I ask how this is supposed to help my tooth. She says she is doing my cleaning. I told her absolutely not. Another 20 minutes later the dentist comes in. She grinds down the tooth. I ask again about antibiotics. Even though there is considerable smell from the area of the tooth she says its fine while beastly spending enough time to move the little paper in my mouth. They billed my insurance for an entire cleaning. They handed me a single envelope with one 800 milligram Tylenol. Thats their standard of care. Several months after the procedure I get another bill after paying my copay of over 500 for another almost $200. I finally went to another dentist who looked at the tooth and X-rayed it and felt the lump in my gums. He prescribed antibiotics and gave me a referral to see an endodontist. The Riversbend dentist did not build up the tooth enough and there is also infection. Now I will have to pay for a root canal. Safe your sanity. Go elsewhere

My family and I started going to Rivers Bend Dental when Dr. Maag and his staff were running the office. It was always so friendly, the staff was nice and welcoming, they answered any questions-never once making us feel like a bother. We loved it! We told everyone about Rivers Bend Dental and it was highly reccommended. Then Dr. Romick and his staff took over after Dr. Maag retired. Ever since Dr. Romick and his staff have been there, it has become the exact opposite of what it was. The front staff are rude and short with the patients. We have had to wait for over a half hour for our cleanings every time with not so much as a "sorry, we are running behind". Having previously worked at a dentist office, I know that when the hygenist is running late, it is your responsibility to let the next patient know, and apologise. Not this staff. We have also had to wait outside the locked office, in hot July, while the staff ran late getting back beacuse of a birthday celebration for one of their staff. My husband got a filling there and was made to feel stupid when he asked if it should still hurt months later. No, I would not reccomend Rivers Bend Dental. They are terrible!

From the minute I walked in the door, the front desk receptionist was super friendly and made me feel welcomed, I was in the chair within 5 minutes. The dental hygienist was awesome, she asked me what channel I wanted to watch on TV while she cleaned my teeth! I picked ESPN :) When Dr. Romick came in, he spent 15 minutes TEACHING me what he was seeing, what may have caused my issuses and how to prevent them in the future. He was awesome to work with. Unfortunately, I had my first set of cavitys and had to get them filled. When I returned for my second visit, the experience was just as awesome! He had a cavity specialist work with him to ensure the best results possible (2 heads are always better than one). One thing I noticed, Dr. Romick was not afraid to spend money on the latest technology and advancements. His staff and him were truly genuine.

This practice has been sold no less than 3 times in the last 4 years. You never know what Dr or staff will be there when you show up. Estimates, billing and insurance are rarely accurate. Appointments made for late in the day (4pm! ) are nearly always tried to be rescheduled for their convenience. The diagnosis and treatments are questionable, to include treatments that are not necessary and conducted improperly (ie. leaving patients in pain for weeks afterwards for simple a minor cavity treatment). At the end of the year patients receive reminders to utilize their insurance benefits so the practice can cash in on them. 4 years ago, would have highly recommended this practice when it was under different Drs and management, no longer, avoid at all costs.

We just moved from Toledo to the Morrow/Landen area and needed to find a new dentist. I mainly chose Riversbend because it was the closest to my house but after going there I cant imagine picking a better place anywhere else. Its been a bit since Ive been to the dentist so I needed to have a root canal done and Dr Romick and his staff took excellent care of me. They explained everything through the whole thing and the actual procedure was painless and took just under an hour. Dr Romick and his staff are very personable and now that Ive gone I will go back, and so will the rest of my family.

I have nothing but good things to say about Rivers Bend Dental! I have been going to Dr. Romick for at least 7 years now and he has done wonderful work on my teeth and has given me great advice on how I need to proceed to take care of my teeth. He keeps track of the work I will be needing to have done in the future, so I always have good dental health. The Dental Hygenists are great professionals and do a wonderful job cleaning my teeth and looking for areas that might cause future problems. I highly recommend Rivers Bend Dental to anyone looking for great dental care!

I had my first visit with Riversbend Dental and Dr. Maag. Was very happy and impressed with his honesty, left another practice did not feel comfortable with, was told by them I needed alot of work. When I saw the Doc, he said that I did have some decay, but some of the work they suggested did not to be done at this time. Very appreciative of his honesty. Office staff extremely comfortable to talk to and very accomodating with my work hours, would recommend this office to family and friends

I would highly recommend Dr. Romick and his practice. He is very knowledgeable and did a great job of explaining procedures and answering any questions I had in general. Also, his patience and attention towards delivering a pain-free experience is exceptional. Ive had a few other dentists, but none have been as "gentle" as Dr. Romick and his staff. Again, recommended without hesitation.

I am so happy to have found my new dentist. Dr. Romick and staff are very personable. I felt welcomed when I walked in the door and the Dr. took his time to discuss my dental needs. My children love him as well. After years of going to a dentist with no chair side manner, I am happy to have found Riversbend Dental! You guys are awesome!!!
