Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, reasonable price for appointments. Our Italian Greyhound, Biscuit, just experienced his second seizure. After his first one, a couple of months ago, we took him to a big & fancy animal hospital in Richmond, VA (were from Virginia, staying the week in Titusville). The other hospital removed him from us right away, even though he was completely stable, and would not allow us to see him until after we paid the bill. Their vet was rushed and did not really explain things very well, nor did she provide us with anything to give him if he had another seizure. At the Ewing Veterinary Hospital we were seen promptly, were given very complete but easy to understand information (that also made sense), and medication to give him as needed if he experiences a more serious seizure in the future. We were with him the entire time and the bill came to $54 compared to $285 (including routine bloodwork in Richmond, none in Ewing - still not significant enough to justify the rate). Great people!

Ive been involved with animal rescue groups and animal shelters for the last 25 years and thus have vast knowledge of what makes veterinarian care rate 5 stars. Dr Nelson is an extraordinarily talented, no-nonsense and empathic man. He rails continuously against others in his field who are driven more by profits than animal welfare. Dr Nelson will NEVER charge you for something your pet doesnt need and if there is an OTC medicine or ointment that he knows will work just as well on your pet, hell direct you to the nearest drug store rather than needlessly spend your money at his office. While other vet offices are becoming incorporated (translation: even more expensive), Dr Nelson stays with his tried and true love of animals. Ive travelled all over American and Dr Nelson is by FAR the most talented, knowledgeable and truly honest vet Ive ever known.

Excellent. I have no trouble getting my dog in whenever there is a problem and the staff is polite and competent. The office is clean and quiet, if a little old fashioned. I have never been kept waiting for more than five minutes. The vet is a kindly gentleman who does not try to push extra vaccines or tests. My dog has never failed to respond to his suggested treatment on the first visit. The office is fine with writing 1800 Pet Meds prescriptions. I had unpleasant experiences at both Princeton and Mendham vets, it is nice to find a professional office that doesnt randomly treat your dog in a way that wasnt agreed upon.

Had to bring my cat in for an emergency visit because he got out and got in a fight with another cat. The vet was a very nice older man who gently looked my cat over and decided a shot of antibiotics would do the trick for his injuries. I felt confident in his care and decision for treatment. The lady at the desk was very polite and professional. Pricing very reasonable. All in all a very good experience.

Dr. Nelson is a fantastic vet and doesnt recommend needless tests just to drive up the price. I am very happy with the care we have received with Dr. Nelson, and his ability to accommodate any emergency visits weve needed.

Dr. Nelson keeps me sane on a regular basis. I am a neurotic dog Mom of a beautiful am staff, and Dr. Nelson is very calm and kind and will often give advice on the phone unless I need to come in. Very awesome guy.
