PLEASE BEWARE!! i will never make the mistake of going here, ever EVER again. while the techs were pretty nice, the DVM was a complete jerk! not only was he almost 40 minutes LATE for the initial appointment, he was rude, and condescending, and didnt explain SQUAT. while they kept me waiting, i called a vet i have known for over 10 years who unfortunately moved out of state, one of the few youll find that is a DVM because they LOVE animals, not because they do it for money (which the vet at this clinic obviously does) he explained to me everything this vet was saying was completely out of line, and untrue, the vet i was talking to on the phone (while waiting for hudsons DVM to come spew his untruths and scare tactics to get me to spend more money) even asked that i put my phone down discretely so he could hear him for himself! he told me to leave and see a different vet, that the DVM at hudson pet hospital shouldnt be in the animal care business. we were both appalled! i made one last attempt to get the medicine (he was already prescribing as a precaution) for my sick kitten, when i told him that i was told by 3 different veterinarians in the two hours i was waiting (my husband was calling different vets as well) - we were told by other, obviously more competent veterinarians, that if the illness in question showed up on a black light (which it did, right there in hudsons office) that there would be no reason to spend 100+ dollars on a test to send it in (unless the precautionary medicine did not improve my kittens health within a certain amount of time) i was told the cat would more or less be cured by the preventative medicine before the results of the lab test even showed negative or positive, as it takes about a month for the culture results to come back) LONG STORY SHORT, EVERY VET I TALKED TO SAID THIS MAN IS A JERK, AND WHAT HE DID WAS IMMORAL AND WRONG. - NOT giving a suffering kitten medicine (THAT HE WAS ALREADY AGREEING TO SEND ME HOME WITH) just because i declined an irrelevant and pricey culture test is disgusting! please, if you love your animal, avoid this heartless, and cruel "doctor", there are plenty of other vets in the area that LOVE animals, and treat you, and your furry family member with care and respect!!! IF ANYONE has any more questions about my terrible experience, please email me. i am willing to cite my sources and explain in further detail.

I first came here with my cat who had been ill and losing weight. Dr. Hawksford diagnosed my cat when my previous vet hadnt. The cat had some very good years. He and his staff are great with all my pets. They go out of their way to get them taken care of. I just called for an appointment for my dog for next week, but they made sure we got the annoying but non-dangerous problem addressed before the weekend. Dr. Hawksford always gives me all the options for treating my pets & explains everything thoroughly. Regarding Google reviews complaining about costs, veterinarians are small business owners in addition to clinicians. The have to pay employees, rent office space, buy and maintain equipment, maintain an inventory of supplies, and earn a wage themselves. And they deserve to be paid for their expertise!

My dog Reggie howled in pain one morning. I rushed him to the vet at Hudson Pet Hospital. They saw him right away. Did excellent pre diagnostic work and then sent us to the Oakdale Emergency Animal Clinic where they confirmed what Dr. Hawksford thought was the problem (cervical disc issue.) A treatment plan was put in place. Hudson Pet Hospital also called the following day to see how Reggie was doing and again after our follow up visit. I cant even begin to say how wonderful the whole staff was at Hudson Pet Hospital and how efficient and caring they were. My dog is in very good hands. I highly recommend the Hudson Pet Hospital and Dr. Hawksford to anyone with a pet. Its a great place.

Dr Hawks ford is so down to earth. He genuinely loves my pets. I had 2 little Yorky. My oldest one was Roxy. She was 16 1/2 years old & had several health problems. She had kidney disease. It had gotten worse at stage 4. There was nothing left to do to help her. It was the end for my sweet Roxy. I had her since she was 5 weeks old. She was my little baby. She followed me every where I went. She sat in my chair with me. She lived to snuggle. She licked my nose. She was a real sweetheart. Roxy is forever in my heart. Dr Hawks ford was so kind and gentle when we had Roxy put down. Thank you so much Dr Hawks ford. I donthe know how I would have made it through this without you and your tech.

This clinic is fantastic! The staff and Doctor are kind, patient and care very much about their patients. As a professional dog trainer I have high standards when it comes to my pups care. They absolutely meet these standards and are excellent with explaining the issues, what to expect in treatment and the whys. Will never go anywhere else.

Took our cat there for the first time a couple weeks ago. They were quick with identifying the problem right away. The meds they gave her started working right away. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone who asks.
