I am very proud to say that I have been a client of Valley Creek Road Animal Hospital since before Dr. Cutlan was at his current location in Woodbury. Since 1994, he and his amazing staff have helped me and my pet family through emergencies - had a kitten swallow a needle; through chronic illness - the same kitten had FVR which flared when he was under stress; helped me with the very difficult decisions regarding end of life issues with one cat who went slowly and one who went extremely fast (but BOTH were a lovely ripe old age of 19 - one of whom was the little one with FVR!); and now we have the joy of having him, Jackie, Ashley and Emma help us care for a brand new kitten. Dr. Cutlan and his staff at Valley Creek Road Animal Hospital always have time for my phone calls - panicked and otherwise! They always work with me to do what is best for my pet family and help me understand whatever treatment or procedure is needed to help them. Yearly check-ups are always wonderful - they have such a wonderful touch with animals even my most nervous cat calms down within moments of her arrival in the exam room. I can honestly say that I was really blessed when I asked a friend for a referral twenty years ago and he recommended Dr. Cutlan to me! Your pet family will be in wonderful, caring hands if you decide to become a client of Dr. Cutlan and the staff at Valley Creek Road Animal Hospital.

I am new to the Woodbury area and my dog swallowed a sharp object and began choking. I googled the first pet hospital I could find close to my house and rushed there hoping they could remove the object before my dog suffocated. It was a clear emergency but when I rushed in there, the receptionist said they needed to check to see if they had availability. She walked into the back room for a bit while my dog continued choking and I continued shaking in horror. She said they didnt have availability and I asked her where else I could go and explained again how much of an emergency this was. It felt like hours while she found a card for another pet hospital ten minutes away. She continued to re-explain that they didnt have availability while I realized she was wasting my time and ran out the front door. If you have an emergency, there is a very lovely and overpriced place in Oakdale that saved my pups life. He has some residual esophageal issues, but I am hopeful he can now make a full recovery. Ill be taking him elsewhere for a regular vet check up tomorrow.

We have been with Dr Cutlan for over 15 years and never have I felt I was steered into ridiculous and costly measures when it came to the care and well being of our cats. So far all 6 of our pets, over the years, have needed Dr Cutlan at some time to help ease pain, recognize illness, operate and even help them to move on. He treats all his patients as though they were his own and you can see he loves them all too. Even the ornery ones...(just ask him about our Simba). So because of these reasons, we will never go anywhere else.

Great experience. My cat got very sick very quickly, and I went here when my regular vet couldnt fit him into her schedule. Got an appointment on very short notice, and I was very pleased with the care provided by Dr. Urban. Services were dispensed thoughtfully, pragmatically, and efficiently. My cat is nearly back to his former sassy self, and his care didnt cost the earth. Id highly recommend this veterinary practice.

Our dog Chip just broke his leg a little over two weeks ago. We rushed him to Valley Creek Road Animal Hospital and were instantly reassured when we got there. Everyone had a calm tone to their voice and we were seen very quickly. They took great care of fixing Chips leg; he was back at home with us after 4 hours. I am so grateful to have kind and professional people right down the road from me.

Dr. Cutlan has a vast array of knowledge and experience and yet manages to explain each new health condition or problem in laymans terms that anyone can understand. Vet techs are friendly and thorough. Office and exam rooms are very clean and organized. Dr. Cutlan explains what he is doing/thinking and why very well and in laypersons terms. I feel my animals are well cared for and no shortcuts are taken, but also that there is no money wasted on tests that are not necessary. Best Clinic Ive ever been to. Love them all!

I am very happy with VCRAH! Dr. Urban has been my families vet for a few different dogs for the last 10+ years. Her facility and staff is exceptional. I moved to Western WI a few years ago and continue to make the trip to see Dr. Urban because I know my dog will receive nothing but the best care regardless of the situation of the visit.
