Halifax is great ! Dr. Bartos has been helping animals for over 20 years, you cant ask for more experience than that. I know some of the staff. The receptionists are kind and knowledgeable, some having been there many years. There are also other staff members who have college degrees so they obviously are up to date on all the newest information for your pet. Regular staff meetings take place and they discuss everything so all employees know whats going on to better serve you and your pet. If Dr. Bartos is busy I just wanted to mention Dr. Harrison is very kind and caring toward your animal. Halifax wants what is best for your pet, that I know for sure. After posting this review I read other reviews. I was shocked at a few of the negative reviews and I encourage everyone to consider that people may write a review out of anger for whatever reason. Halifax wants what is best for your pet, period. They wont suggest lab work unless they feel its necessary. I know a lot of the staff and I can promise that they care about your pet.

Terrible experience. I have never been treated so bad in my life!! I was so worried about my pet, so they told me to come in and they would fit me in. After waiting in the waiting area and everyone else being taken, they felt bad for the pet so they put him in a room. After waitng three hours... I know why would anyone tolerate that? ..but I thought he was dying and I did not know what else to do but wait. I finally went out in the waiting area and the staff was closing up and leaving. I never did get to see the doctor because I had to leave and try and get him to another place before he did die. They push their expensive lab work on people making them feel bad if they dont get it done, so I did the week before because we thought he was having allergy problems. They call and say nothing was wrong with him. There was a lot wrong with him and he was seriously sick .Which after taking him to a REAL Veterinarian we found out. So if you want to keep your pets alive I would not take them there !!!

This past spring (March) my cat was having difficulty eliminating; she was miserable so I took her to the vet. They decided that an enema was necessary. Several hundred dollars later and she came home with a prescription to keep her bowels moving. The liquid script in a syringe was too difficult. Long story short they over prescribed every medicine they gave her. She continued to be sick and seemed to be getting "UTIs" every few weeks, and no end in site to that and the diarrhea. X-Rays, medication, etc., and the problems were not going away. I asked for a copy of x-rays and was appalled that I was again charged for a copy of x-rays Ive already paid for!!! I decided it was time to switch Vets. The new vet found my cat had an "UNUSUAL BACTERIAL STAPH INFECTION"... "VERY UNUSUAL FOR A CAT". Since my cat is strictly indoors with no other animals, where would she have contracted this infection! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS CLINIC. I

It is unbelievable to me this place is still open. After 3 appts and ALOT of money they could not find out what was wrong with my dog suggested I go to emergency vet. Took to another vet in town and he was dignosed with a UTI really you cant dignose a UTI and pancreatitis and vet said he was in pretty bad shape. 1 month later he is still getting better. So PLEASE I BEG YOU DO NOT BRING YOUR FUR BABY HERE. Its not about money HVC its compassion you do not have!!

I had an emergency with my sweet toy Chihuahua. She was 13 y 3 m old and I needed to have her put to sleep. They wanted to charge so much (as usual) but wouldnt allow me to make pmts. Ive been using them for 2 yrs for all my pets and I thought I liked them. I dont respect them at all now. I tried to get my furbaby cremated there next, and the pulled the same thing on me....ugh!! NO MORE!! THEY DONT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT MONEY; SOME VET!!!

saw a couple crappy reviews, so thought I would add, theyve been very supportive and kind in helping our family boxers pass away in most dignified ways possible, including a serene setting of under the big oak cypress tree on their location which we were thankful for and impressed w their genuine caring for our animals

Halifax Veterinary Center is the closest Vet to my home. They helped a lot and I never had to wait long to get an appointment or to see the doctor. Im always there for less than half an hour. The techs are so sweet. They also have an amazing puppy training class.

This is by far the best place to bring a pet, whether for a well visit or if they have a problem. Drs Bartos and Harrison are not only smart, but they are very compassionate. My Bella loves going there to visit with her animal as well as people friends.
