Two situations have happened with my pets at this place. The first.. My dog was constantly throwing up, they said they would take a urine sample. They said it came back negative and because of that there was nothing foreign in her stomach. Prescribed her some medicine for the vomiting A couple of days later with no sign of improvement and now pooping blood we take her to an e.r. Since it was the middle of the night. We told the new doctors that she had already been checked to see if anything was in her stomach so they didnt perform any thing and sent us home with more medicine. Another week goes by with no real sign of improvement and my dog hacks up a ball of tin foil. When telling another vet this story they said there is no such thing as a urine test that will say if there is anything in the stomach. The second incident We took both our indoor cats in to be declawed. We were told that the price included a free check up in a week and the special cat litter they needed. We also purchased two cones to be put on after surgery. They said they would be ready to go home after 4 days. On the 4th day they called and said since our cats were overweight that they wanted to keep them an extra day. When we went to pick them up they didnt give us the cat litter and stated they never told us it came with it. (No big deal id just go by some) we got home and noticed one of the cats feet looked really gross but figured that was just the procedure and it would heal. The very next day there was blood all over our house, his stitches had broke open. We went back to the vet and the doctor asked me if he was discharged like this, i told her yes. She freaks out and saids she will get this fixed. A different doctor comes back and states that i need to pay for the additional surgery and that he had chewed his own paw because they didnt put the cone i had bought on him at night because he didnt like it!!!! She then tried to guilt trip me that i didnt love my pet and so forth because i refused to pay them anymore money for the problem they caused. After much tears and argueing they argeed to fix my cat. My cats bones were exposed! After they "fixed" him i went to get a second opinion of there work. The new vet told me he needed to be kept in a cage for 2 weeks since he was so heavy and might break open the new stitches, they also said that with cats at that weight they shouldnt have gotten the surgery in the first place. I am not a doctor, we pay you to help our pets and help us understand what we can do for our pets. If they had said it was ill advised for my pets to have this done i would not have done it. Instead you gave us smiles and gladly accepted our money. This is not the first review with a poor surgery story and i only hope that this place gets shut down for malpractice.

Ive been coming here for a while. Never had anything horrible happen personally(only read a hundred horror stories) but theyre definitely not the best. The vet was not gentle while inspecting a small infected area on her face, i couldnt really see what she was doing but my dog became very upset, And Ive never seen her act the way she did in the 7.5 years Ive had her(her entire life). She was yelping and cowering away under the table and jumped up on the benches. The vet got frustrated and told me it was because I was in the room( Im pretty sure I was the only thing keeping her somewhat compliant) and put a muzzle on her and told me I could not come to the other room. I could hear what seemed to be a dog, screaming in pain and/or fear. It took only a few moments to realize it was my baby girl, simply because Ive never heard this sound but recognized her voice. Not whimpering. Not barking. A piercing, loud, painful, terrified noise I have never heard from her before or since. It went on for a good fifteen, twenty minutes or so. I let myself out of the room and paced the hallway outside her door. Finally when they emerged my dogs face was half shaved, bleeding and raw. She ran to me with such force the vet was unable to hold the leash and she just ran between my legs to the front door and scratched at the glass whimpering to leave. I had to wait another 45 minutes just to check out and pay. I paid an incredible amount, upwards of $300(quite a lot for a 20 year old to come up with on the spot)... for them to shave her face, put some cream and a bottle of antibiotics and a cone.... But she is worth every penny and more. well the infection was cured and she has been fine since. However, she will not be coming back here. She was traumatized and still hates the vet. My other dog has had no problems here and I need an appointment asap, but I thought maybe I better research a little more, this procedure will be more serious and I cant allow any mistakes. I rescued him nearly 6 years ago from certain death and he is my little baby. After reading every one of their negative reviews Ive come to notice that the owners will comment on anything above a 2 star rating to ask you why you didnt give 5 stars. However, on all of the negative reviews the owners never once apologize for their rude staff, no explanations, no attempt to fix their wrongs or even deny that they are an awful clinic. They truely are. But if you are living day to day, check to check and your pet is sick, they are cheap and dirty and you get what you can afford that day. Sad but basically the same quality care of any ohp doctor for us human breeds. Dont go here for any serious procedures. Only upside here, Cheap vaccines on thursdays. Keep your pets safe.

I am a senior citizen who faithfully took my 5 pets to willamette valley pet hospital , both south salem and Keizer. I have spent alot of money on my pets to make sure they were in good health. On wednesday , around the 10th of august i took my 14 year old Pomeranian in for blood work needed to continue recieving her phenobarbital for seizures. I was NEVER given instructions to have my dog "fast" before her bloodwork. I only heard of this the day i took her in. When asked why i was not told to do this before i took her in , Jim H , the tech was standing at the front desk looked at me and said " we can get your pets paper work and you could go elsewhere ! I was in shock at his rude demeanor and it was obvious this man ( Jim H ) was having a real bad day and since the waiting room was empty , e made tge decision to take his problems out on me. I Never raised my voice. I never said any cuss words. I never called nanes. I simply asjed why i wasnt told about fasting. Now i was told to bring my dog back next week after i had already rearranged my work schedual for that day. Jim H had lied and told me he was the owner when i asked who was the manager. I left and the next day my husband went in and they had my alrssdy printed out all my pets papers and had a refund for me that i had pre paid for my precious dogs bloodwork ! Why ??? The owners were not there and were lied to about the situation. There was NEVER a disruption. Only a tech named Jim H who was guikty of not giving proper instruction about pre bloodwork so he decided to lie about the conversation on the day my dog was supposed to have bloodwork to save his self from getting into trouble for not giving proper instructions. The owners did NOT call me to get my side at all ! They simply believed the lies of staff and tokd me to taje my pets elsewhere. I wrote another review and suspect the will try to give me the same response as they did in the last response and say i was disruptive ! This is a lie ! I am a senior citizen and have never in my life been disruptive. My husband recorded part of this dicussion with the staff as he was there sitting 5 feet from me and was very taken back by the staffs rudeness. If the response here is that i ( we ) were disruptive...it IS A LIE ! This establishment ( in my opinion ) discriminates against senior citizens and thinks we are defenseless. If you want to walk on eggs sgells or be subjected to staff tgat is rude and lies to the owners to cover up than this is your go to vet. If you value honesty and proper care of your pet and your own emotional health , please go elsewhere. Now watch the response of lies !
