I FIRST MET WITH DR. SAX A FEW WEEKS AGO ABOUT SOME SKIN ISSUES. HE AND HIS STAFF WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL, THEY WERE QUICK AND EFFICIENT. PERHAPS MAYBE A LITTLE TO QUICK!! I HAD TO REMIND THEM ABOUT MY HEALTHY ISSUES SEVERAL TIMES AS WELL AS ADDRESS THE LAST SKIN ISSUE AFTER HE WALKED OUT OF THE ROOM! MY PROCEDURE WAS DONE BY JENNIFER , SHE IS VERY NICE AND EFFICIENT AS WELL, NO ONE ADVISED ME THAT DR. SAX WOULD NOT BE PERFORMING MY PROCEDURE. I WAS IN A LOT OF PAIN THAT NIGHT, CALLED THE OFFICE IN THE AM AND WAS TOLD THEY DONT PRESCRIBE PAIN MEDS OR NARCOTICS. I WAS TOLD JENNIFER COULD NOT WRITE SCRIPS FOR THESE TYPES OF MEDS..I CALLED MY REGULAR DOCTOR AND WITHIN THE HOUR A SCRIPT WAS FAXED TO A LOCAL PHARMACY. IT WAS NOT A NARCOTIC PAIN MED...HOWEVER IT WAS QUITE EFFECTIVE IN KILLING THE PAIN. I HAD TO WAIT 2 DAYS FOR DR. SAXS OFFICE TO CALL ME BACK FOR TYLENOL 3...I TOLD THEM TYLENOL ANYTHING IS PROBLEMATIC...TOO BUSY TO LISTEN OR IS IT JUST SLAM BAM THANK YOU MAM! THE LEVEL OF COMPASSION IS NON EXISTENT! I AM A TOUGH COOKIE...SO CAN YOU IMAGINE IF SOMEONE WASNT?? OMG...I CAN ONLY HOPE THIS PROCEDURE WAS DONE WITH THE UPMOST CARE...SINCE I HAVE NOTHING TO COMPARE IT TO!

I had adult acne, no insurance, i was sent there to see if I can fix it. Dr. Sax will initially appear to be a very concerned doctor, but if you are not purchasing any big ticket items from his "spa/clinic" then forget about getting any help from him. You are thrust onto the PAs and then into oblivion. The first visit went off without a glitch, second apointment confirmed by the staff, he was not even there, I was with his Partner who could not find my file. The acne medication that i had received from them was working, but at $500 a btl (3 separate prescriptions) I could not afford it. I told him that and he said that well the best costs money. I walked out of there. Oh by the way do not leave your credit card number on file... they will charge you even after you have cleared your bill. STAY AWAY!!! this place is only meant for decrepit housewives who need Botox on a daily basis.

Office staff was very accommodating. I have only been in the area for a year--and Dr. Callahan WAS my dermatologist. I just had a bought of sores all over my face---the ordeal lasted over 4 weeks. I couldnt even go outside--it was that bad. So, Dr. Callahan is in Europe--cant see me. I went to urgent care--prescribed and antibiotic--10 days..did not work. SO, I call Dr. Callahans office again--she is BACK--but, she is very busy doing plastic surgery seminars. I went BACK to urgent care---this doc thought I had MRSA. Serious stuff....I was able to see my internist and she referred to Dr. Sax. I was happy to know that SOMEONE in Sarasota/Bradenton,with a title of dermatologist, was NOT to busy with cosmetic surgery to see a REAL skin problem. They were able to schedule me for a next day appointment with Dr. Sax.

At the end of february 2015 doctor David Sax discovered on the right side of my back 0.72 mm melanoma According to the world general practice melanoma up to 1.0mm doctor usually remove this size melanoma under local anasthetic in the office,howerer he sent me to Tampa cancer institute for treatment and lymph nods test ,which located 90 miles from my home, I refused go to Tampa and in 3 month I moved to Seattle wa There I visited local dermalalogy ,he performed rebiapsy test Melanoma grew and become 1.0 mm and doctor removed melanoma in office Test showed that I dont have any problem. My opinion DOCTOR DAVID SAX IS NOT ENOUGH PROFFESIONAL DOCTOR

Went to this derm 3 times for the same problem. Place is definitely overbooked all the time. Because of this, dr sax spent very little time examining me and my problems thoroughly because he probably had to get to his next patient. He told me what i had was eczema - gave me different creams which only made the problem worse. 3rd time I go in he tells me he doesnt know what the problem is and suggests to take "zyrtec" which also does not work one bit. I end up going to another dermatologist and they fixed my problem in one appointment. This is supposed to be a top rated derm? I dont think so. I recommend taking your skin problems elsewhere

Dr. David Sax is excellent - totally professional and has a great manner with patients. I believe he really cares about people and this makes him a real pleasure to work with. The office is beautiful and located in a great place on University. Many dermatologists are just trying to see a ton of patients and you feel like part of an assembly line.I really feel that Dr. Sax is genuinely interested in me and helping me get the quality of care I came for. The practice also has a state of the art medical spa that is also a top notch part of the facility. Nice job Dr. Sax!

I dont understand the negative feedback. I had a wonderful experience. Everyone I came in contact with at the office was professional and friendly. I didnt have to wait long for Dr. Sax to see me and they answered all of my questions fully. They were most accommodating and the doctor asked me repeated how I was holding up during the procedure. I have already recommended him to everyone I have spoken to and will continue to do so. I am more than pleased at my results and look forward to a continued relationship with he and his staff. I was just looking through some of Dr.sax reviews and I think they are a little unfair..ive actually gone to him -I have no insurance, either does my boyfriend and we both had appointments but I paid such a low price for two people to be seen i dont know how people with insurance are complaining ... he was quick which I appreciate thats why I wrote this review because hes cheap When u dont have insurance, theres a pharmacy onsite , and he gets to the point and gets you on your way fast. plus the office is brand new n beautiful I had no complaints

University Park Dermatology is excellent and cares about their patients. Kim is great at letting you know what may help you and what wont. She will work with you and seems to care about your needs. Kim also follows through with phone calls and listens. Toni is professional and gets the treatments done quickly and with results. Melissa and Michelle will get out of their chairs in the office area and help people out with their questions. I always appreciate Melissa and Michelles smiles and care. This is a good place to go for dermatology.

I have used Dr. Sax and his staff for dermatology reasons for several years. Last year I attended an introductory seminar about Cool Sculpting and decided to try it. The results were great—even better than I had hoped. The staff was very professional and concerned about my comfort during and after the treatment. The technician told me exactly what would happen at each step. Since I hate surprises, that was a really welcome part of the service. I would definitely recommend this practice for both the medical and Spa services.
