I have been a patient of Dr. Arsenault for many years and just dread my visits. She is a very nice person and does a great job, but as far as time management, the office is in dire need of help. Every time I go for my appointments their is always a long wait. It has been so bad that Ive avoiding going. I finally decided to give her one more try after not being there in years. I was their 15 minutes early for my appointment. I waited for 45 minutes and then heard a nurse come into the waiting room and said the doctor was running about 30 to 45minutes behind. My appointment was at 9am and they opened at 8am. How on earth could you already be running that late since you just opened at 8am. It was absolutely ridiculous and I walked out. My wife has had the exact same experiences and has also walked out. Patients respect the time of the doctor and arrive on time, the doctor needs to have the same respect for their patients time. This has happened every time I have been their. They have now lost my family as patients. I only hope in the future they will respect their patients time better because patients do have the option of going to other dermatologists.

I was extremely impressed with my experience at the Sarasota office of Dr. Emily Arsenault. From the time I signed in I was treated as a real person - not a number. My last name was clearly identified on the sign in sheet and I was given a hand written THANK YOU note from the doctor for coming in. The office staff appeared happy to be at work and happy to see me! I saw Dr. Arsenault on time, as if my time were equally important. My experience during the appointment was very professional along with outstanding bedside manner. Again, as if my appointment was just as important to her as it was to me. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Arsenault for anyone seeking a dermatologist that treats people rather than moves numbers through her office. You can expect to be seen by a PA, not a doctor. Despite what they may say, this is problematic because PAs do not provide a full range of services. My most recent experience was a follow-up visit for a skin condition, and when I told the PA that their topical treatments werent working and asked about other alternatives, she got defensive and spoke to me in a very condescending manner. Then she told me that I needed to go home and educate myself online about this condition and then make another appointment to see one of their doctors if I wanted to try new medication. It was insulting and a total waste of time and money. I subsequently went to a new dermatologist and was seen promptly by a doctor who listened respectfully to my concerns and is taking a more proactive treatment approach.

A biopsy on my right shoulder, done by a different dermatologist, came back positive for a malignant melanoma. He referred me to a general surgeon and promptly left on vacation. I checked the surgeons website, only to learn hes been in practice just a couple years, and his home page features all kinds of internal surgery and, oh-by-the-way he does skin cancer, too. Not on me, you dont. On my own, I located Arsenault Dermatology, explained my situation, and they got me in to see Dr. Dolehide the next day. That was last Friday. Today, Monday, they moved Heaven and Earth to find or create an open surgery slot. Dr. Dolehide will remove my melanoma this coming Wednesday. And oh-by-the-way, Arsenault Dermatology just became my new skin care group. Judging from my history, Ill be seeing them often.

Just trying to get an appointment for one of my family members to see Dr. Arsenault, and the first available appointment with her is 5 weeks out. Its not enjoyable to live with a persistent problem for 5 more weeks, and hopefully the other issue isnt skin cancer. The office was also quick to try to push us to see a PA. While Im sure that the PA is nice and we could see them a little sooner, 1. they are not doctors and 2. it costs the same to see the PA as the doctor. The slight, single advantage does not offset the disadvantages. Ill come back and update this review after the appointment unless we can get in with another practice sooner, but the experience is disappointing so far...

I had not had a full-body skin exam in many years, and am so glad I chose Arsenault. Melissa Beachy, PA, did a very thorough exam and found a number of issues, including a melanoma that could have become full-blown cancer. Everything is getting taken care of, a big relief. Everyone I have met at Arsenault, from the front desk folks to the clinical staff, have been exceptionally friendly, professional, efficient, and kind. Their systems are user-friendly, and they provide excellent client communication regarding treatment and appointments. Just a very well-run operation with great people. My wife went in the next week and had a similarly great experience. I highly recommend this practice.

I have been here once and saw the PA, was satisfied with the service but surprised they didnt tell me up front I was going to see a PA. I was okay with this so I called for a second appointment and they transferred me to the nurses station where I got their voicemail and left a detailed message asking to return my call. I never received a call back. Follow up: The practice manager called me 1 day after I left this review. It would have been nice to receive that kind of attention in the first place. While I am sure Dr. Arsenault and her colleagues are top notch health care providers, I will be taking my business to a practice that values my time and concerns first and foremost.

Getting an appointment is VERY difficult. Wait time was an hour! I was put in with a different doctor who diagnosed me with one thing, but charted something different when he was done. Staff was complaining about lunch while I sat there. As the phones ring, the staff talk loudly as they take personal information for everyone to hear in the waiting room. Very interesting as I filled out all my HIPPA paperwork! I Found a new dermatologist that took time with me and explained what my treatment plan would be moving forward. They managed to do this in a more private setting where my personal data wasnt compromised.

Very quick to push you to their PA, fine I guess except shes HORRIBLE at stitching - do not let her work on you... ugly scar because of her). They will sneakily bill you to pathology even if you dont want it sent off because "its our policy". Its your policy because you get to make extra money off services that were never asked for and never signed off on. Shady practice - money hungry to say the least :-( Wife needs to visit derm, guess who she and everyone else I talk to WONT be going to?

Very professional, experienced office. Dr. Arsenault is the best dermatologist Ive ever had, either in New York City or Florida! Dr. Kristin Jochum and the other PAs and staff in the office help make my visits special. Very helpful! Everyone takes the time to answer questions regarding procedures and Im never rushed. Other patients cannot say enough good things about this practice! The office is very clean and comfortable. I always recommend Dr. Arsenault to family and friends.
