My wife was referred to Dr Smith highly and so we accordingly took the hour and a half drive to consult with her, having moved to Florida from Maryland. She was with Dr Smith for approx ten minutes and left the office with great disappointment telling me that the full body examination was rudimentary at best and the consultation was shallow. Having had issues in the past - she contacted her doctor in Maryland and made an appointment to see her. The drive was about thirteen hours each way and the gas costs were about $500 - not to mention the costs of accommodation incurred when staying for the biopsy results and follow up treatment, which took over a week. Her doctor found seven areas which needed treatment and immediately performed surgery on two when the results were confirmed - one required 4 internal stitches and twelve external. When I contacted Dr Smith she responded that her standard of care is to freeze suspected areas and if they dont completely go away within one month then she would have performed a biopsy - the area of concern that she noted was my wifes scalp - this was not an issue for her Maryland doctor - the two of concern were below her left ear and the more serious was on her lower back on the right side. These did not take a month to diagnose. Dr. Smith did however wish us both a happy and healthy New Year - ah if only heath issues could be minimized by good wishes... I would not recommend this doctor to my worst enemy. (or maybe I would...)

Dr. Smith has a horrible bedside manner and made me feel extremely uncomfortable which is not what you are looking for when going in for a skin cancer screening. I was also visiting to have her examine the melasma on my forehead. As soon as she walked in the door she stated "oh i see your problem" .... not the first thing you want to hear from a doctor as soon as they see you for the first time. She explained to me what melasma was, told me she could write a prescription and asked what else I needed looked at. I showed her a questionable mole on my right breast which she looked at for two seconds (didnt take any measurements) and told me it was in a good spot for me to keep an eye on. Fast forward 6 months to a visit with a different dermatologist and they found that the mole on my right breast was in fact basal cell carcinoma. Dr. Smith is the worst dermatologist I have ever been to and would NEVER recommend her to anyone.

I had read some negative reviews about this office and even mentioned it to the receptionist when making the appt but I decided to try it out anyway. I think Dr. Smith has no bedside manners and she was very awkward and made me feel uncomfortable. When she entered the room she didnt even make eye contact and immediately looked at my small issue on my face! Then she proceeded to tell me the skincare line Ive used for 5 years is FULL of oils. First and foremost I thought she was incorrect but I didnt say anything and then I researched it when I got home and she was completely wrong! I have to go back next week for a very small and quick procedure but I have no intention of going back after that. Find another doctor who will make you feel comfortable!

Dr. Smith was wonderful and helped me with my medical issues effectively. Cant say the same for her incompetent staff though. My employer switched insurance carriers and I asked their staff for assistance in selecting a plan where I could continue to see Dr. Smith. They had no interest in assisting me and only repeated something about "We can only take it if it says this on the card". Obviously I didnt have a card yet since I hadnt signed up! They couldnt understand that simple matter, so I found another dermatologist on my new plan.

I have seen Dr. Smith twice over the past year. Both visits were conducted in a friendly and professional manner. Dermatologists are known for having a negative bedside manner. Dr. Smith most definitely does not run with the crowd. She is polite, helpful, and efficient. I couldnt ask for more although there is more to say. The staff in her office are also very friendly and efficient. I most certainly recommend Dr. Smith to anyone looking for a dermatologist who cares for her patients.

She has a horrible bedside manner & made me feel very uncomfortable! When i showed her my skin disorder she made this ugly face & acted like she didnt want to touch it. The only thing she did do was explain to me what the disorder, which was helpful but that is about it. The staff was rude & didnt know what they were doing with insurance, all they had to do was call the 1-800 number, they made me pay everything up front when I didnt have to. I wouldnt recommend her to anyone!

I didnt feel like the Dr. cared about seeing me and answering my concerns. She made me feel rushed and ended up trying to sell me a specific product at the end of the appointment. Most Dr. I have been to will do this, but will also offer alternatives ... she just wanted to sell her product.

This was my first visit to a Dermatologist and I found the experience and office staff to be COURTEOUS,FRIENDLY & INFORMATIVE. Dr. Smith was FRIENDLY, EFFICENT AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE in her field. I have had various moles removed with total SATISFACTION and no pain.
