I am a new patient from another dermatologist, down here you need one. At the previous facility I was disappointed with the crowds, the rushed feeling and the overall experience, especially of late. Bay staff was polite, professional and prepared. They performed the procedure I requested right on the spot. No crowd, no wait, no issues, no drama. I was amazed. I think to myself, "Why couldnt my former dermatologist work this way?" Its simple. for whatever reason they elect not to. I suppose more patients from my former facility will be voluntarily heading over to sign up, and I dont blame them. A patient centered philosophy is what I was looking for. This is my new dermatological center and I highly recommend them. I know theyll be there for me when I need them.

My husband went to Suncoast in Homosassa and we are greatly disturbed over the week end we receive a certified letter stating that he should come back. Bear in mind he had the necessary surgery, received his lab work and was informed by the office in the summer that he had a Squamous Carcinoma which was removed.. In the fall he receives a phone request to come back this is two months later. Why? They say it is their protocol, nonsense, no doctor diagnosis a patient performs the necessary surgery while confirming labs say it was Squamous Carcinoma and then waits another two months demanding you come back to have it check.The office is nasty, their demands make so sense and the doctor should call you personally not some minion.

So happy with my very first visit to Bay Dermatology in Homosassa. This is the first time a dermatologist has actually SPENT A GREAT DEAL OF TIME with me and explained everything thoroughly. What a relief to have medical personnel who listen and answer questions rather than spend less than 60 seconds with you, zipping and zapping and leaving. From the front desk to the check out process, it flowed smoothly and efficiently and I never felt rushed. Bay Dermatology is now MY dermatologist! Kudos to a great team of doctors, PAs, assistants, nurses and medical team personnel and staff for an outstanding job. Kind, courteous and they take time to listen and to explain.

Ill give it 1 star because I went for laser hair removal and hair loss. The laser hair removal was expensive bit doable but thats not my complaint. My complaint is that they tried to get me to take a hair loss pill that has the potential to cause permanent loss of sexual functions! Like what!? Why would they even recommend something like that? I know why...money!

I had a questionable mole. We called Bay and got in the very next day. Turns out the mole in question was okay but Dr. Dorton found and removed another which could have become a problem. Dr. Dorton was awesome, his staff efficient, the front desk people helpful and friendly. The whole experience rates an A+ in my book.

Ive been to the Homosassa and Spring Hill offices and had favorable experiences both times. Theyre not the most sociable people on the block but I dont go there for drumming circle so the fact that the lead time for booking is quick and I dont have to sit in the waiting room long is four stars in my book!
