Suffering, and I mean that literally in the physical sense, disappointment with this practice. Im sure the doctors are fine at practicing dermatology, and certainly the one who saw me to treat a severe lichen planus outbreak seemed empathetic enough. PROBLEM: UTTERLY INCOMPETENT COMMUNICATION WITH MY INSURANCE COMPANY! The doctor knew the new immunosuppressant ointment was terribly expensive yet she failed to try to obtain pre-approval from my insurer. When the pharmacy to whom Suncoast electronically transferred the Rx called Suncoast to notify them that they had to request approval, the pharmacist told me approval might take up to three days. Over a weekend, that meant five days. Five days of itching so bad it is painful. Cortisone creams do not work on it. On the 6th day, I called Suncoast only to find out that the doctor had still not even requested approval from my insurer. The pharmacy could not give me a copy of the prescription because it was e-transferred. Suncoasts printer wasnt working the day of my appointment. I have left a message with Suncoast demanding that they print the Rx at the Bruce B Downs office I visited or the Van Dyke office nearer my home, so that I can pick it up and purchase the ointment from Canada, where it is far less expensive though still pricey. Bottom line: IF THE BEST DOCS IN THE WORLD CANT COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY, THEY DO YOU ZERO GOOD, AND YOU SUFFER UNNECESSARILY. Never going to Suncoast again ... and neither should you.

Went in for a skin tag removal and annual skin screening! Was billed as a level 3 office visit & biopsy!! Clearly upcoding!!! Objected to her sending to a lab 2x!! Was still sent it to a lab that was NOT in my network! Billed $436 for a skin screening and skin tag removal! Was told the skin tag was only going to cost $10 when making the appointment!! Wont respond to a letter, do not return phone calls!! Was told if I wanted to discuss this in person I would be charge for an office visit!!!?? BEWARE OF UPCODING!!!

I was very apprehensive about going to the dermatologist regarding a skin issue. I picked them out of a Google search, which increased my anxiety about going. I must say after such a pleasant visit, I would highly recommend them to all my friends and family. The office, waiting area and examine rooms were clean and spotless. The staff are very friendly, kind and gentle. I was in and out in 40 minutes and this exam included a biopsy. No pain, what a welcome surprise.

I went for my biyearly check, waited an hour for my appointment for my skin check. She spent about 3 minutes on me, sent in the wrong mg and now I have a face of pustles. She was rude and I will not go back to her. The staff couldnt be nicer, too bad.

What a wonderful dermatologic practice! I love Dr. Baldwin and April Page. They are so professional and caring. My skins looks fantastic thanks to them! The office staff--meaning, Morgan--is terrific, too!
