I am a parent of a 3 year old that has had a very horrible experience at a local pediatric dentist office. After visiting, on my own, Opal Ridge, I decided to give this dentist a try. They were extremely patient with my daughter, allowing me to sit very close to her for comfort. The staff were so friendly and informative. I am one of those parents that can be time consuming and not once did I feel rushed or pressured to do anything that was out of our comfort zone. I was able to share personal stories with the dentist and his staff, which made it even that much more comfortable for my daughter and myself. This interaction eased my 3 year old into opening up her mouth, without fear of fingers being bitten. She even allowed x-rays to be taken! I was so very impressed with the way everyone handled my daughter, I am now having my other children transfered to this location for all their dental needs. I HIGHLY recommend Opal Ridge for your entire family! Kudos to Dr. Thackenkary and his team! Well done!

This dentist office is fantastic. I hate my teeth and try not to go to dentists in part because I know there are problems with my teeth but also because so many dentists go on and on about things I already know and in effect just make me feel worse about my teeth. Opal Ridge isnt like that! The office is efficient and gets people in and out quickly. Ive been able to plan meetings around what I think my dental schedule from significant dental work will be and actually make the meetings. Opal Ridge really knows their stuff! They take criticism and feedback better than Ive ever seen from any other doctor (both physicians and dentists). I know Im hard to please and Im not always pleasant when Im in a lot of pain. They seemed to understand that and made me feel better. In short, I feel like they really care. This place is great and I highly recommend anyone I know go to Opal Ridge!

This is the go to dentist. As a former healthcare worker I had the opportunity to see many practitioners practice medicine. While dentistry and medicine are not exactly the same discipline, I would place Dr. Thackenkary among the most proficient practitioners of health I have ever experienced. Over the past year I have had the good doctor work on my teeth three times and each time he amazes me. No, I am not a compensated commentator, merely a very satisfied patient who thinks others would benefit from Dr. Ts services. Another facet of the practice is that the staff has always been very helpful and accommodating and friendly to boot. These assistants are very busy, but never lose sight of the patient and his or her needs.

I am so impressed. First time in my life that a dentist didnt hurt me while cleaning my teeth. Everyone was so pleasant, helpful and thorough. I knew I needed extensive dental work and asked for a treatment plan to be worked up for me. I thought the prices would be much higher than quoted. While talking to the office manager, I mentioned my health insurance. On a whim, she decided to just check to see if it would cover any of my dental work. It does cover almost all of it. My portion is going to be about the cost of a normal dental office visit and cleaning!! I left crying tears of joy. I honestly thought I would end up having to let my teeth fall out and get dentures. So thankful and impressed. Love them!!!

Dr. Renju Thackenkary is one of the best dentist that I have ever been to. I recently had to have three of my wisdom teeth removed. I was very nervous going into the procedure since I was going to be awake for it. Dr. Thackenkary help me understand the procedure including why it should be done and how the process will go, all the things that I needed to do afterwards in order to stay healthy, and, most importantly to me, consistently checked in with me to make sure that I was comfortable during it. The procedure went really well and with his direction recovery went well also so. Going to the dentist can be a scary and uncomfortable thing, but Dr. Thackenkary will make you feel comfortable and do great work.

Quite simply the best dentist Ive ever been to in the past 17 years. I went to Dr.Thachankary to get my teeth cleaned and normally I am pretty scared to go to the dentist. Well, Dr. Thachankary made me feel right at home and he fixed my teeth without any pain! He is the only dentist I found that treats me like a star...I was so sad to see him leave Peoria and now I have to start searching for a new one and I am not sure I will ever get a truly personable doctor like him. Dr.Thachankary is not about making money, he believes in medical ethics, respect, values and my family truly misses him. I would highly recommend him to anybody who is looking for an honest and an outstanding dentist.

First time experience and very friendly staff in a very nice, clean, and relaxing environment. Dr. T took took his time understanding my concerns and proceeded to exam and deep clean my teeth. My x-rays were taken digitally by the hygienist (and a few detailed ones by Dr. T due to need) who gave good direction and was patient. Aside from the professional care, the office itself - chair, look, AND the convenient big screen TV on the wall/ceiling - was so comfortable and felt real "state of the art." The x-rays even showed up on the big screen so you could see exactly what was being explained. Be back next week for that filing....!

My husband and I just had our first appointment with Dr. Thackenkary this week. We went there because it was close and was listed on our insurance. We will continue to use Dr. Thackenkary regardless of our insurance plan because of his very professional attitude and extremely friendly attitude!! His staff from the very first contact was friendly , courteous ad professional. They went over and above what I was expecting!! The office was very clean and attractive also. Very, very pleased with Opal Ridge and I would highly recommend them to everyone that is looking for a great dental experience!

Everyone is extremely nice and kind. From the moment you walk in the door, you feel at ease. The waiting area is clean and very modern. The receptionists are always great and always super helpful and courteous. Great teamwork between everyone there... you can really feel the unity among the staff. Dr Thackenkary goes out of his way to ensure that you are comfortable... completely fell asleep during my root canal procedure. Wouldnt recommend anyone to go anywhere else but Opal Ridge.. Thanks to everyone there that goes above and beyond to make appointments run smoothly!!

Dr. Thackenkary made me feel very comfortable. He explained everything he was doing and kept checking on me several times to make sure I was ok. He is very nice and sincere and introduced himself to me with a handshake. His office is very nice and clean. His staff is very nice , pleasant and accommodating He has a large Tv overhead you can watch and he also pops your Xrays on it. He worked with me for all my needs and the best is they have Saturday Hours. I found an awesome dentist that Im not afraid to go for a visit . I highly recommend Opal Ridge Dental
