Can you give a half a star? I have a major problem with the service I received on 11/6/13. I was advised to go to the ER because my dr. could not get me in. I received some major issues. 1st.They didnt listen to what was going on with me at all. 2nd.I told them after falling several times, and was having urine loss, and pain from my foot to my neck to my head. All they did was a x ray, I told them it was torn ligaments, tendons, x ray wont show that, they even said that. They also would not give me ice or any pain medication, have you ever torn you ankle tendons,it goes all the way to the back of your neck, i was crying in pain, still am. they put the splint on the wrong way, and sent me on my way. Meanwhile everyone around me was getting all sorts of pain meds. One guy was so high he kept saying how high he was. Now me Im a mother of two kids, not a drug addict, my family was so worried they even made me go to the ER, they were with me. My foot is destroyed and not attached to my leg at all, if the ER staff would have listened or even wiggled my foot, or examined me period. They would have realized that. But they didnt even touch me, again no ice, I begged for pillows, no blanket, my foot was frozen, hence the nerve not being connected! The way I saw it that should have been emergency surgery, or at least an MRI. and a ice pack. If this was made worse because of the lack of treatment, and I can prove it I will be suing. Im not one to even ever type in, but this really insulted me and now i have two scarfs and two braces trying to hold my foot up towards my leg.or else it dangles there. You truly need to better train your staff, and start taking care of patients.I was there because of an emergency problem, the lady next to me was a taxi driver, making appt. for driving right after she left, and you know what? She got some major pain meds! But the hurt mom with a ride could not get any relief or help. I will drive somewhere else to be treated I will never take me or my family or my friends there ever again. Its the worst ER I have ever seen, Ive been a ER nurse, I never had or seen such disgusting treatment.

My wife gave birth to our son here. There were several parts about the experience that were bad, here were the main ones: 1. The biggest thing that bothered us was we were hounded for money when our son was only a couple hours old. Their financial assistants (or whatever their title was) kept insisting on a check for the estimated amount our insurance wouldnt cover. Wed been up for over a day straight. We told them to come back later. Six hours later they were there again asking for a check. We eventually paid them something so theyd leave us alone. 2. Our labor was a long one (26 hours) partially due to the fact that my wife became severely dehydrated during the process. As shifts changed and other mothers delivered we were bounced from one nurse to the next. My wife almost stopped having contractions altogether. We finally got a nurse who spotted the problem and a few hours later delivered. 3. Re-hydration was done by IV, except the thing wouldnt stay on. It would start beeping because it got jammed or something. The nurse would come in, curse it, fiddle with it and restart it. This had to be done often during the only time where we might have got some sleep in. If youre contractions arent too bad and you can make it to Paradise I would definitely make the extra drive. I know we will next time.

My wife and I were in a severe car accident on New Year’s Eve. I was flown by chopper to Chico Enloe for emergency care. I suffered an open communited fracture to my right ankle, requiring multiple surgeries. Everyone we came into contact with was amazing. The nurses were helpful and sensitive to my injuries. Dr. Mary Herzog did both of my surgeries and she was superb. She took time during her rounds to answer any questions my wife and I had and ensured we understood the answers so we could make informed decisions. Another thing we noticed about Enloe was that our surgeon rotated over to the ortho trauma clinic across the street. Having regular follow-ups with our initial surgeon was great. Not sure if that’s standard in the industry, but we surely appreciated it. We also had great care at the trauma clinic. Nurses and techs gave clear answers to our questions and they never were irritated about answering questions. Over the course of treatment, I would ask the people who worked for Enloe how long they worked there and why. To my surprise most were seasoned employees of over 7 years or longer. They all spoke highly of Enloe with their own experiences as patients and they felt the CEO genuinely cared for them and supported their ability to do their jobs.

I delivered My 1st Baby here and it was terrible! One of the nurses told me to shut up at one point during My labor! I had been in pain for 2 1/2 days and that was the last thing I needed to hear.. then I got placed in a shared room with another woman that had a vacuum birth and was in a lot of post partum pain.. I had to deal with her crying and complaining and her visitors coming in and out.. leaving me absolutely no privacy.. I felt really bad for her, but I was tired and just wanted to have some private time with My husband and My Baby.. I will never even think of giving birth here again, I had my second Baby in paradise and it was just amazing! My own private suite the same friendly nurse for 12 hour shifts, they didnt harass me for My copayments on My insurance.. I definitely recommend feather river over enloe.. make the drive its worth it!

I went to Enloe to get a sports physical but the Prompt Care center was closed off for some reason. I decided to find another entrance to get help and I went into the Behavioral Health section of the building. When I went in there, there wasnt anyone to help me or even talk to people who come in. I sat and waited for a while until a lady came out of a side door. I tried to ask questions about this sports physical and where I should go but she was extremely rude, and looked at me as if I was some parasite who should get lost. Eventually she told me that I should use the phone, but the phone is only for people who have behavioral health problems. I ended up leaving with no sports physical and a new dislike for Enloe.

Enloe is one of the worst hospitals around and unfortunately they are the only ones. Back in 1995 my mother was dying and do you think for one second these people could make her comfortable? Absolutely not! All they wanted to do is get rid of her and send her home to die even though she was in very bad shape. Now a friend of mine has her mom there since Thursday of last week and do you think anything has changed? No. That poor women has not been bathed or her teeth even brushed. Although they make sure to collect all the money from anyones Insurance. If you can avoid this pit they call a hospital please do as you can see nothing has changed in over 20 years. Bad care! period! Shame on you Enloe!
