Back in 2010, my appendix ruptured. I was in enough pain that I figured something was wrong and drove myself a few blocks to this hospital. I had to come here twice to get these clowns to take me seriously. The first visit ended with the doctor concluding I had food poisoning and sending me back home; it was only when I returned the next day and feigned additional symptoms that they took me seriously. They treated me like absolute garbage in the ER (one of the nurses seemed to have a social disability, but the rest had no excuse) but eventually took a CT scan and discovered that the situation was indeed more than food poisoning. They had me sign paperwork while hopped up on pain meds prior to the operation (my vision was blurred to the point where I couldnt even read it; Im pretty sure this isnt legal) and were aggressive with other paperwork while I was recovering from the surgery to the point of sheer inappropriateness -- a lady came in and woke me multiple times per day to have me sign financial papers that I told her I would review when I was in a condition to do so. After that whole experience was over, they sent me duplicate bills demanding money for charges after they were already paid on and off for the next six months. But wait, theres more. A year later, I came back to the hospital with the intention of asking the staff to see the room where I recovered. The experience was traumatic to me and I wanted to see if physically being in that space would help me move past it. I didnt manage to be as brave as I wanted to and I ended up loitering while trying to force myself to ask that simple question. They called the cops on me and had me dragged away to a related mental ward in Sacramento, CA, because supposedly I had paranoid schizophrenia and was seeing/hearing things that I was neither seeing nor hearing. I wasnt interviewed or tested or even questioned by a qualified professional; a cop showed up and that was that. He asked me if I was confused and I clearly implied that I was confused regarding his behavior [SIC regarding his attitude which was belligerent and hostile; nervously grabbing at your belt which happens to holster your gun and Taser while conversing is not friendly behavior] and suddenly I "suffered from confusion". Yes, loitering at this hospital can land you a diagnosis of something that you have even if you dont, but if you come here for something youre actually suffering from, theres a fair chance theyll send you home. Save yourself the damage this place can do to your health, your wallet, and your pride, and go to the UC Davis facilities or a hospital nearby in Vacaville or Sacramento.

This was not my planned hospital to go to but I went to labor and was 2 min apart and this was the closest hospital to me. They took me in right of way got me in to the room and with in less then 40 min my daughter was born on 4th of July ! I was doing a natural birth and the nurse supported me , I told them I dont want a laying down position they had no problems and said its what ever I preferred. They recommend couple good positions and I have to admit this was my first baby not laying down position. I was on my knees on the bed leaning over the back seat of the bed and the birth experience was amazing. The gravity sure works with u and it was much easier to push her out. Plus my hips and pelvic was more open then in the laying down position so it didnt create a stressful way for the baby to come out. And I was in so much less pain after birth then I was with my other 3 kids. The dr. Did not clamp the cord right of was like all the rest of the hospitals do and waited until all the vitamins pump back in to the baby. Glad I didnt have to fight with the Dr about this 1. And after they took a really good care of me. They gave me the baby and let me hold her for as long as I waneed before they took her to measure her. This hospital is definitely for someone who is looking for as natural as possible and as the right way of the way birth suppose to be. After I was in the other room the nurses and staff was always helpful. Nurse Mayta and Julie and the rest I didnt get the names off where very friendly, caring and helpful. They did not come in every 2 hours for stuff and just kind of left me aline with my baby especially @ night so I was able to actually sleep and not get disturbed every hour. If I ever needed anything I just push the botton and I got what I want and I wanted a lot of tea lol. Food was delicious too, I was surprised plus I asked for snacks all the time cuz I started to breastfeed ( I get really hungry ). All I can say is thank u very much Sutter hospital and all ur staff. I am more then pleased with the 1st time experience that I had with u guys. I definitely had an amazing 4th delivery experience with u guys!

I had a very bad experience. During pregnancy I had swollen ankles, abnormally high blood pressure and generally didnt feel well. It hurt to take big breaths...ect. My midwife told me I was fine and everything was normal. Then three days before my due date I started throwing up. Luckily I had a routine appointment scheduled for later that day and found out that I was preeclamptic. It turns out I shouldve been tested each time I came into the office with a routine urine sample, but they chose not to do that. Once I was diagnosed with preeclampsia they said if I was anywhere else they would have done as C-section. After I gave birth they told me I needed to use the restroom. I told them I didnt feel well, but they insisted. I passed out in the bathroom, and with all the commotion they forgot to check if I voided my urine for at least 12 hours when the next nurse came on shift. Then they forgot again for another 12 hours. I still did not feel well when they discharged me, but they said I was fine. I wasnt emotionally overwhelmed or feeling pain I was disoriented because of the medication and because I was so sick. I was sick constantly until my six week check up. The doctor told me I was fine, but I was still extraordinarily week. I was diagnosed with a kidney infection that had progressed from the UTI that I got in the hospital 2 1/2 months later. My entire experience at this hospital made me feel like my health was minimized. I didnt feel like anyone made sure I was OK they just wanted to be friendly. I was sick for the first two years of my sons life, dark circles under the eyes caught every illness I came in contact with, and didnt have muscle strength for the first two years. I wish someone wouldve cared. I will never go back to Sutter Davis, and I am sure to tell all my friends about my experience. I hear theyre fine if you dont have any complications, but if you do please request an ambulance to take you to a real hospital.
