Having read the horrific reviews prior to picking this poor excuse of a dental office should have warned me of what Im in for. I made an appointment on a Monday, came in on time and was told by the unapologetic girl up front that my appointment is for the following Monday. I told her she was mistaken because I wrote it down and will not forget because my childs birthday is the next day. I went back to my car, upset since I knew I could not have been wrong, looked at my notebook where I wrote the date and it was for that day. Upset as I was, I called the girl on the phone from my car and asked her to check again. She said no for next Monday, still unapologetic, could really care less based on her attitude. I re-scheduled for 2 days later and you would think as a professional establishment they would call to remind and confirm to avoid inconveniencing me again and just as normal protocol. I did not show up for my appointment and received a call 2 days later inquiring if Id like to make an appointment since I missed mine 2 days prior. Really? Not even if they were the last dentists in Broward. Id give a big fat "0", no star rating if I could. Just beware and heed our warnings. After all it takes time to do these reviews so that others can avoid the hassle and annoyance this place provides so freely.

I would give this place negative stars, but you cant. Stay away from this place. The customer service is one of the worst I have ever seen. They treat you like garbage. The girls that work at the front desk have absolutely no knowledge on how to great people. I asked for a simple request and it turned into a whole ordeal, they hung up the phone on me. When I went to the office it was no different there. Very unprofessional, asked to talk to a manager and they sent up a girl who could have been no more than 19, instead of making the customer happy they focus on what you did wrong and not them, first rule of what not to do to customers. Doctors are no better. Went in for my first exam, and the doctors not even introduce herself, she just looked at my x-rays, talked to me for about 1 minute and thats it. I implore anyone reading this review to take my advice and stay away. By the way, this is the first review I have ever written about a company. Just goes to show how horrible I think this place is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FYI there is a girl that works up front named Luisa, got in my face like she wanted to fight me when I told her she needed to improve her speaking skills.

Horrible experience. On last February I went to Broward Mall Denta lto get a regular cleaning through my Care Plus insurance served by Argus Dental Insurance They tried to charge me saying that I wasnt in the system. Even I showed my card they didnt care. I contacted Care Plus on my cell and handed it to the employee. Then they accepted and made me to take an x-ray and sign a paper which stated I must pay $50 if I wanted a copy of it. After a very long while a dentist (Dr Oreo) came to see me. She said that I needed a deep cleaning and a filling for a cavity. The assistant said that they werent cover by the insurance. I called again the insurance, they confirmed that it was cover. After that the dentist and the assistant disappeared. After an hour waiting in the patient room I asked to talk to the dentist( Dr Oreo),the assistant manager (Katy) or the manager (Karen). They made up excuses, she is with another patient, she is at lunch, she left. I left the office. At 4:30 p.m. with no service. The employee at the front desk was very rude when I complained about the service. After three days I went to a private dentist who found no cavities at all.

Zero stars should be awarded here but Yelp wont allow it. Kate went for an "emergency appointment" on Monday to this so-called "urgent care" as her dentist was not available. After a three-hour wait on her scheduled appointment, she was seen by Dr. Melanie Bond. Although the dentist herself was professional, the customer service of Broward Mall Dental was extremely poor. I was going to let this go as the dentist was good and had pretty good follow-up. With that said, Kate was referred to a specialist as she may need a root canal. When calling today, the person answering the phone - Shannen - was extremely rude and refused to forward Kates dental x-rays or records to the referral doctor stating that the x-rays could be taken again. I indicated that scenario was unacceptable and asked for a manager. After a 49 minute wait on hold for a manager, Linda M. came to the phone and indicated that they were very busy but would try to send the records "as soon as possible." Notwithstanding the contract dentist and her personal professionalism, I wouldnt be caught dead in this place... /s/ William E. Lewis Jr., Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE I dont want to go on too long, but Broward Mall Dental is an unethical business. After x-rays and a very quick examination with no interaction, an office staffer produced a treatment plan and said that my insurance didnt cover anything. Her second sentence was about a payment plan. My dental insurance actually covered all of the services, but they used ambiguous codes to make the contrary appear. I posted a picture of their proposed treatment plan for you to see for yourself. As suspected, my insurance confirmed months later that Broward Mall Dental did not even file a claim for the exam, etc. They were skirting my insurance, effectively trying to collect more money from me directly than than they would be reimbursed. Old equipment, patient file storage security, and the appearance of lying to a knowledgeable patient who was actually getting a second opinion raised some additional concerns. There was no attempt to convince me of anything once I asked some questions, including from my new dentist kicking back in the corner behind the reception desk.

I choose Broward Dental because of the convenience of location and hour of operation. My first experience was me making an appointment arriving on-time and then being told that my appointment was not scheduled. My second visit was a 20 second evaluation with a dentist and me waiting for a half hour for someone to tell me that my insurance covers my basic cleaning. I made an appointment for the cleaning. I was called by the office to say that I have to be re-evaluated because the dentist I visited was no longer there. My third visit consisted of a half hour wait in the waiting room, another 20 second evaluation from the new dentist, another half hour wait, but instead of a cleaning I am told that I have a medium cleaning that will be 95 dollars. This makes absolutely no sense and the condescending desk person (who doesnt know anything about my teeth) explaining that it depends on the consistency of the my cleanings, didnt help. I have never had a cavity in my life. I will not be back to your office and my next mission to post this message anywhere that I can.

My appointment was for 9:30. I called at 9 for directions. The automated system said they were between Macys and JcPenny. However, I could NOT locate them. I called back for the operator and the answering service answered and said they didnt open till 10..??! I was very confused because I knew my appointment was correct. Low and behold, I decided the check the other entrance and boom.. There they are?! I told the receptionist the directions were wrong and she said, "Oh yeah, we need to fix it." She didnt have any concern. I checked in and asked for the restroom and she tells me Its out of order. The closest one was at the food court. Which is completely on the other side where I was searching back and forth for. By this time, I was very frustrated and I didnt want to miss my name called for my appointment. It takes just a few minutes to update their voicemail. How inconsiderate. Just another money hungry business who clearly does not have the best interest of the customer.
