I went to Davie Dental by the recommendation of my primary physician for a routine checkup and since I havent had my teeth cleaned in 2 and a half years was told that I needed to come back twice since there was a lot of build up which was not an issue at all. I came twice and the second cleaning was under 15 min which surprised me a bit. On my first visit I met dr Berry Bluth who left no impression and had no bedside manner at all. He recommended for one of my wisdom tooth to be extracted for which I came back to have another consultation with Dr Shelly Bluth and she confirmed the same thing. One thing I didnt like about her is that she asked me multiple times where I cleaned my teeth previously since they werent cleaned properly and after saying that Ive visited their office twice already started asking about the time before who cleaned my teeth- how is that relevant I dont know. Did not care for her bedside manner either but she seemed more attentive than dr Barry Bluth so I made an appointment with her for my wisdom tooth extraction. When I showed up for my extraction I found out that Dr Barry will be performing the extraction not her which was not communicated with me at all. Moreover first he put anesthesia on the wrong tooth, realesed his mistake and put it in the right one. I had few questions for him which went unanswered. The final reason why I will not come back to Davie Dental is due to my insurance only covering one xray per year and me still being on a waiting period for my insurance to cover a partial cost of my wisdom tooth extraction I had to pay for the extraction out of pocket- which I did. However on the day of they took another xray which was never communicated to me that will be something I had to cover as well. They did take one only a month before I was there. I dont see what has changed and the proper way was to explain that this is something I have to pay out of pocket, too. Even though the amount was small I had to cover it was the principle. I would certainly not go back.

Holy cow I love this place! My step daughter went in for some pretty serious work on her teeth and loved the place so I thought Id give them a spin. The office is super clean and you walk in and are greeted like they already know you. I arrived a few minutes before my appt. time, waited for about 20 minutes but then was immediately seen by Dr. Barry Bluth, the son. Whats cool is this is a long time family practice. The father started way back when and now the son and the daughter are also dentists there. I understand that Dr. Bluth had hitching posts out front when he opened! Its cool because it really creates a family atmosphere and all of the patients seem to really love them. I needed a cleaning and some bonding done so after my consult with Dr. Bluth, the assistant came in and gave me my a much needed cleaning. I am not happy sitting still so I appreciate that she was efficient and thorough. I got my much hated xrays that turned out to be not so bad and then waited for Dr. Bluth. He explained that my teeth were in good shape and no cavities. Yay! But I did need some much needed bonding as I brush too hard on some of my teeth. Dr. Bluth was is extremely gentle and pleasant while he worked. My teeth look like a million bucks! The rates were extremely reasonable and Im definitely going back. I got to chat with Dr. Sheri Bluth on the way out. She does a lot of cosmetic procedures. I like the results she has been getting with her whitening procedure. I may be doing that in the near future. Definitely a great practice. Thank you Bluth family!

A new patient in my practice will always receives a full comprehensive oral examination along with Full Mouth Radiographs if not current. An in-depth medical history is taken (past and present). Any contraindications to treatment are documented and addressed at that time. In many instances patients who present with periodontal disease (from neglect of routine dental maintenance visits) will require deeper quadrant scalings than a patient who is current with their hygiene (cleaning) visits. Unfortunately, these services are somewhat more costly. Patients are rightfully concerned with any out of pocket expenses and our front office staff will always be happy to review the insurance policy to see if coverage does exist for a specific service. It is our obligation to our patients to give them the utmost customer service and patient care. The previous includes a full oral or written treatment plan. This helps our patients know the dental fees prior to any scheduled treatment. From years of experience and listening to patient feedback we know how to help our patients. We offer payment plans for patients that may be needing assistance as well as to help our patients work within the guidelines of their specific dental plan. Our hygienists are excellent and their tremendous followings speak volumes for themselves. Our staff: Dr. Barry Bluth, Dr. Norman Bluth, myself Dr.Sherri Bluth along with our very talented periodontist/surgeon Dr. Michael Hennessey, will only give our patients the highest quality dental care possible!

I thought this office was great until I went for my second cleaning with them in december of 2015 only to find out I have a bill sitting there for over a thousand dollars since March. Once I questioned it, they decided to inform me that my insurance denied the claim. While disputing the denial letter I asked Karla to assist me in getting it corrected. I have since received nothing but attitude including her telling me that its my fault the insurance is denying it. If Im not mistaking, its their job to let me know there is an unpaid bill. Anytime I call to get information regarding the bill to make sure it gets paid; I get nothing but attitude while the front desk blames the ladies in the back, but the ladies in the back are blaming the girls in the front. Very unprofessional and rude!

They are the best I have ever been to in my entire life and I am 60 years old. They are honest and never over treat. They are all wonderful people. Shari Bluth is my dentist and I absolutely love her. She is a perfectionist and very caring. My hygienist is Diane and she is spectacular. I have very sensitive teeth and she doesnt hurt me at all. I just went today for a cleaning and it was fantastic, my teeth look great. Their staff is excellent and will help with anything you need. They take care of everything and every question is answered politely. They are truly there to help.

Great environment and staff, very respectful and attentive. The confirmation emails and calls are a great help! The Receptionists are professional and courteous. Penny (dental hygienist) was stellar. Very skilled and receptive, no question scheduling my next cleaning with her. Very big improvement from my previous provider, thank you Davie Dental... Update: 3/31/2017 Thank you again Davie Dental. Melissa filled in for Penny and still knocked it out of the park... (awesome hygienist as well)! Happy I got this slot. C.

I went to Dr Bluth because of all the great reviews. I got a lazy cleaning, the Dr came in after the cleaning said hello, looked at the xrays and left. One of my teeth needed to be filed down a little because it broke but she just rushed out of the room. They wanted me to make an appt for a deep cleaning for over $600 (plus they told me it would use what I had left on insurance). All they were worried about is how much they can charge and how much insurance would pay.
