Worst place ever. My husband and I had both had appointments for 2pm and 230. We sat for an hour after several people came in after us and were seen. Finally after over an hour of waiting I was seen. I was advised I had several cavities that needed to be drilled and parts of my teeth broken because of where they were. I had never had cavities before and have always taken care of my teeth. They also said they could not do a regular cleaning and that I would have to pay $80 out of pocket because most insurances dont cover it (scam to me since they said they would not offer the yearly checkup cleaning). They then said they didnt have time to clean my teeth that day anyway if I chose. Afterwards I was directed to sit down with a financial counselor. VERY ODD to me. Usually you speak with a receptionist...Sounds like a car salesman to me. The lady showed me different options and a print out of all the costs which was about $750 out of pocket! The next day I called my insurance and they said that most of the prices given to me were wrong as it showed me giving more out of pocket than having the insurance pay. They also stated that several procedures couldnt be done together either if needed,,, After I had gotten out at nearly 5pm I saw my husband 3 hours later was still sitting in the waiting room and had not been seen. Absolutely unacceptable. PLEASE GO TO KOCHER &KOCHER they are simply amazing. The dentist told me I had some cavities but they were enamel and it would go away on its own with proper care. KOCHER & KOCHER ALL THE WAY!

I really liked Dr Gonzalez and the staff at Dental American Group until I realized that they were intentionally overcharging me. I went to Dr Gonzalez as a new patient last year because her office was in my insurance network. During my initial consultation, the account manager told me that my out-of-pocket cost would be $1010. That seemed way too high for this procedure, but she assured me that the price was correct. She even tried to get me to sign a loan for the full amount, but fortunately, I said "no." My treatment was divided into five sessions, and I agreed to pay approximately $215 each visit. However, I received an EOB from my insurance company a few days before my third visit. It turned out that I was only responsible for $350, not $1010 as they claimed! Everyone in the office became extremely defensive when I asked about the discrepancy. The receptionist said that Dr Gonzalez and Dental American Group are in my network, but the endodontist who actually worked on me was out-of-network. (What?!) She also said they usually disclose that during the consultation. (Why would anyone with insurance ever agree to that nonsense?) At that point, I walked out — broken tooth and all. They already had over $400 of my money, and I wasnt giving those con artists another penny! Gov. Scott signed legislation in April 2016 that makes balance-billing illegal in Florida, but Im sure Dental American Group will find new ways to gouge their patients. Learn from my mistake and avoid these people.

DO NOT go to this dental office if you are looking for a new dentist. They are rude, unprofessional and greedy. I went in for 2 procedures that according to United Healthcare, should have costed $69.00. They charged me $175. They assured me I would be refunded fully once it was submitted through my insurance. This obviously did not happen. When I called my insurance company, they told me that this dental office overcharged me and that I should get refunded by the office. Well call after call, I was treated very badly, I was yelled and, and I was actually hung up on more than once. When I had a United Healthcare representative call for me, she was also hung up on by this office. I have never been treated so badly and disrespectfully. I am appalled at the way I was treated and would not want anybody to go through what I did with them. Do not go to this dental office. There are much better ones close by that actually care about the patients.

“Watch out for these guys. They are manipulative and deceptive! They will nickel and dime you to exceed the estimated amount. They will also try to sell you products you don’t need. If you follow any of their recommendations such as going down the hall to see another specialist, they will bill you without your knowledge. They will recommend their credit company (GE Capital Care Credit) and once they find out how much credit you were given, they will try their hardest to maximize your credit line. My wife was billed $900 more than estimated and they won’t even respond to the charges or letters. They are so unprofessional and the work they do is shabby. Run from these people and tell your friends to stay away also. Stay away from country credit. They will ignore you too and help you at all.”

Over priced. I had to redo my oral surgery. Dental staff tried to be friendly but if you dont speak Spanish, the environment is very unwelcoming because they talk to each other only in Spanish while you are present. They must not feel this is rude because they do this a lot. If you say something they tell you it doesnt matter because they werent talking to you. Front desk staff does not want to deal with you and seem to just want to get you out of the office. They seem to be too busy to deal with the customers and give the impression that whatever they are working on at the moment is more important. You always have to wait for them to finish something of higher priority than you. They charge for everything and promote products at exorbitant prices.

I came in for my first visit a few days ago and I had a great experience with this office. As i walked in the door the ladies from the front desk greeted me properly, i waited shortly to be attended. Meanwhile waiting i was offered water making me comfortable. I was taken back with the Hyg. and it was spectacular they treated me with care and explained to me thoroughly all the dental work they recommended , I spoke to the doctor and I asked questions and all my concerns were answered. I then sat down with the manager as she explained to me the treatment the doctor has set up for me. we discussed and came to an agreement on payment plans and how can i come about on when to start on my treatment. Truly love this office and their amazing staff!!!!

I had the best experience ever ! The staff is very professional and they make you feel like you are at home, the front desk personnel help you with their IPADs and make your life easy and Dr Sousa is very professional and she will make you feel confident with the work she will do, I had done a couple of fillings and I couldnt notice where they took place because she make sure the selection of the color was the appropriate for my tooth and it looks like I never had a cavity on any of them. I took my time to rate a review on this office because I want everyone to be knowledgeable about her excellent work and the company in general.
