WARNING!!! Do not use Aspen Dental. I had previously been to a family dentist about 8 months prior and my insurance changed, so I was switching offices. I ended up going to Aspen Dental as a result. I went in for a routine check up and cleaning. But, when I got to the office, they started the X-rays and I ended up with a full mouth series of X-rays rather than the standard bitewing X-rays that my insurance covers completely. That is just the beginning. Afterwards, the dentist came into the office and showed me the X-rays that were just taken. He told me I had 3 cavities and white marks that were calcium deposits that would have to be removed. He then informed me that the hygienist would be right in to do the cleaning. I could not believe that I had five cavities! I have never had any issues before this and I take care of my teeth. A few moments later, he came back into the office and said the hygienist is unavalbale to do the cleaning today and I will have to schedule that along with the fillings for a later date. So, I went to another office where a woman greeted me and asked how I was doing. I told her not so great because I have a cavity. Her response, was; No, you have five. WHAT?!?! How did that happen??? I thought it was hard to believe I had three cavitied like the dentist told me just a few moments ago, but now all of a sudden, I have five?? All of this work would have costed me upwards of $1,200. I ended up leaving the office and went back to get my X-rays to bring them to another dentist for a second opinion. Luckily I did that, because the other dentist looked and the same exact X-rays that Aspen Dental took and said it ended up that I do in fact have a cavity, but it was only one. No where near the five that I supposedly had when Aspen Dental looked at the X-rays. Aspen Dental is a complete scam and I do not suggest to anyone that you go here to get anything done! I ended up with a bill from the visit because conveniently they did X-rays that werent covered under my insurance plan and I eneded up having to pay that out of pocket. After this incident, I looked up other reviews on this company and realized that the EXACT same situation has happened to so many other people. I just wish I would have taken the time to read those reviews prior to going to the office. Lesson learned!

What a great dental assistant of JoJo Ellis, as well for the primary dentist Dr. Jake. I am so thankful that I found Aspen Dental in this area. In November, I just initially booked a dental exam mostly out of curiosity to learn what could be done to improve my front lower teeth and I was also a bit concerned about my other dental issues, but Aspen Dental carefully explained the options and followed up with a proposal. As of today, I have completed a major dental problem I once had, which was completed by Dr. Jake and his assistant, JoJo, helped me understand the process of the treatment and worked out the details/procedure to minimize any delay. My intuition was to trust Dr. Jake with my whole mouth and I am so grateful for the beautiful work that he did. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I am quite happy with the results of the treatment procedure towards my lower teeth/bridge.

I found Aspen while searching for an oral surgeon who was Delta PPO. Dr. Yosifs name popped up and I gave him a try for a molar implant procedure. I would prefer to use a Delta premier dentist/oral surgeon but I save so much money by using a Delta PPO provider. Delta PPO pays 70% as opposed to Delta Premier that only pays 50%. Thats a huge savings. $400 savings just for the abutment and crown, which Im doing now. Dr. Yosif is very nice. Hes a traveling surgeon who now brings along his own assistant, My only problem with Aspen is that they they seem to be a bare bones operation. I had to endure a titanium screw being placed in my jaw bone without the benefit of nitrous oxide. If they offered nitrous for every visit I would consider making them my primary Dentist and give them 5 stars.

First of all, I have to say that Dr. Taggert is the BEST! I had been searching for a dentist that didnt send me into a full-blown panic attack, and I had found him at a place where I least expected it. Aspen Dental is exceptional, especially when it comes to the way they treat their patients. Their prices are much better than most places Ive called, and they work very well with your work schedule. Ive brought my whole family here and recommend Dr. Taggert to everyone I talk to looking for a dentist. As far as the negative reviews, Aspen Dental is not a free clinic. Ive also noticed that they are either old reviews, not for the Muskegon location, or possibly disgruntled ex-employees/someone to blame their bad hygiene on.

Came to find them through my insurance company. Wanted a cleaning. Was told I needed x-rays first no problem. Came in for the x-rays, did dental exam, then was told I have 3 cavitys and I needed a sonic cleaning 1,400 was told the price. Got 2 filled for 111.00. That same day. Go to schedule a cleaning and they say they can not do the basic cleaning my insurance pays for I need a peridanial cleaning. The cost for 1 cavity and the peridanial cleaning 550.00 ALL I wanted was my teeth cleaned the cleaning my insurance pays for. If you add the prices up 111 + 550= does not add up to 1400.00. I am happy with the filling they put in but seems like a triagle scam. So I have to rate very poor

Although the staff was very friendly, I found my experience here to be awful! While doing the initial X-Rays I complained numerous times of pain and a strange taste in my mouth. The staff assured me that it was most likely just the latex on the instruments and not to worry about it. I am not allergic to latex in any way. That night, I developed a full blown mouth infection. My whole right side of my face was swollen and puffy. Not only did the doctor seem to think it was my fault, he just said take some allergy pills and youll be fine. Do not go here unless you want an mouth infection by what can only be dirty instruments.

Good experience! I originally started at the Alpine office as we did not have one in Muskegon, ( needed in network dentist) Found out they were coming to our neck of the woods and was glad I did not have to drive so far now. Then I found out Dr Miller was coming to the Muskegon office.... yippeeeeeee.!!!! He is a fantastic dentist! I would recommend this dentist to all.. ! There is still tweaking to do in the office procedures but that comes with having a better person in charge. Dr Miller is that person..

My experience with Aspen Dental was much like others. The staff was friendly but they lied about the condition of my teeth/ gums to try to upsell me. They also added an electric toothbrush to my bill and it was like pulling teeth (pun intended) to get them to explain what it was to me so I could ask them to remove it. I sought a second opinion and my teeth were just fine. I did not require two stage cleaning or all the fillings they claimed I needed at Aspen Dental. Quite shameful on their part.
