The service was alright but I felt like the hygenist was condescending. She basically called me a liar when I denied having a heavy smoking habit because of a small discolored spot on my gums. She says that only happens to people of color or people who smoke more than 2 packs a day. Neither of which apply to me. Then when they told me all the things they wanted to do to my mouth, I told them I couldnt afford all those treatments and just wanted to wait. I felt like I was harrassed about it! Are these people used car salesmen or dental professionals? When I said I needed to wait until my financial situation was a little better to fix my broken tooth, this uneducated and unprofessional girl practically held me hostage in a little room trying to get me to take out a loan to get the work done there. I also said I wanted a second opinion and was insulted for that too! The only way I could get out of there was to make a follow up appointment. I had no intention of keeping the appointment. They called to confirm the appointment today, for 3:00 tomorrow. I immediately returned their call to cancel the appointment and was told, because I didnt give them 48 hours notice, I would be charged a $45 cancellation fee! WHAT???? Then they should have given me a reminder call 48 hours in advance. I made that appointment over 6 months ago. 24 hours notice is sufficient every where else. She said that fee is at the managers discretion. I said that I was not made aware of this fee when I made the appointment and she said it was in the HIPAA form I signed. I work in the medical profession and HIPAA forms are about privacy and portability. Its not ethical, in my opinion, to hide fees and penalties in this document! I told her I would not pay the fee, she said they would bill me for it. I said I would fight it and they could just send me to a collection agency if it they want. I will NOT pay them one single red cent! I am so angry I could scream! Liked: Disliked:

My family has gone here since 2009 and had excellent experiences time and again. We refer friends and family to Dr. Sitaram without hesitation. Other reviewers talk about pricing problems, but to me 1) those are estimates, and 2) my health is worth it. "Cheaper" dentists put me in pain, and Ive had broken crowns and failed root canals from other dentists- but Ive only received good quality work from Dr. Sitaram. The office is clean, bright, and welcoming, the staff are friendly and helpful, and most of all, every person there is highly competent. Cleanings and check-ups are thorough, and Dr. Sitaram uses current technology to improve his practice. His Cerec crown has lasted longer than the prior two crowns on that tooth from my old dentists, and to his credit, he took extra time to properly fit that crown to the unusual space in my mouth (something two past dentists did not do). He caught an abscess in a recent 3-D x-ray before I was in pain, and was pro-active in treatment, reducing my chance of pain and infection. Ive always had dental problems, and he and his team have made fillings, a root canal, and even an extraction as positive as possible. They make sure you are comfortable, and relaxed. And, I dont know how he does it, but the process is really low anxiety, and low/no pain! The guy is gifted, and truly cares about his patients. He and his team take the time to get to know you, your needs, and your family, talk to you as an intelligent human being, and have the highest standards in care. First time in my life that I look forward to seeing a dental team!

Over the years I have received dental care from a number of different providers; some reasonable quality, some not so good. Seven years ago I was having a very serious problem with bone loss that had been treated previously (unsuccessfully) by another periodontist. I saw little hope of adequate resolution when I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Sitaram at Dental Solutions in Columbus - all I wanted was cleaning and I planned to restart antibiotics. After Dr. Sitarams evaluation I met with the team including the oral surgeon and together we developed and began a plan of care. Some minor adjustments to the plan were needed over time and Dr. Sitaram and the team worked with me through each step. The outcome was ... well, to say excellent doesnt adequately describe the change in my quality of life. Five years ago I moved from Columbus to Oregon. During my first year (in Oregon) I sought local, comprehensive dental care and eventually saw two different providers. I know I can count on either of these for any emergency care I might need but for my routine care and for management of the long-term goals, I count on the team at Dental Solutions in Columbus. Yes, I have been and will continue to return to Columbus twice a year for the quality of overall dental care provided by Dr. Sitaram, Dr. Hostalet, the hygienists, the lab and the friendly office staff who keep everything running smoothly. I can get dental treatment anywhere - for me, however, excellent care and truly caring professionals mean making 2 trips a year from Oregon to Columbus.

Unbelievable Experience!!! We love this place. I have a daughter who is Autistic and thought a pediatric dentist would be best but were wrong, We have not liked other dental offices in town who refused to even do xrays not covered by insurance without demanding upfront payment and over charging. Dental Solutions not only did the Xrays, but said they would let us know if there was a difference after they ran insurance!!! The office recognizes us when we walk in the door and Welcomes us with a Smile and calls us by name even though we have only been there a couple times. Dr. Sitaram was so polite and caring, he explained everything step by step to my daughter and treated her with respect!!! Something autistic children desperately need and I didnt even have to ask them to explain things, they did it naturally!!! I think I will change my whole family to them, what a wonderful experience. Oh and we were in and out in under 30 minutes with xrays, 1 cavity filled, sealants done, and a laser treatment to prepare for braces!!! All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a deep seated fear for the dentists office because of horrors experienced when I was a child and I was a total mess when I went in for my first appointment; about a third of one of my pre-molars had broken clean off and I was dreading a possible root canal treatment as well as extraction that Id been advised to have over a year before (but ignored). Dr. Sitaram is the absolute best; hes warm and professional, fully explained the procedure and follow ups needed before starting my treatment and answered all my questions without judgement or impatience. He also does his work really painlessly, efficiently AND fast (bye bye childhood fears of being stuck in the dentists office for hours and hours on end in pain). A week ago I would never have felt the amount of calm and confidence in a dentist that I have now with Dr. Sitaram. I have a number of procedures lined up for the next 4-6 months but Im not ball of nerves cause the service here is honestly the best Ive ever had.
