Hello Fans, I just would like to let you know that I had an appointment with Dr. Christine Cassel to see her today, supposedly she is a dumbatologist. I would like to mention to you for your own health dear patients (because they will NOT let you know....& they dont care) that they are paving the road. My husband and I asked how we could get into the parking lot & they told us we would have to walk a couple of blocks. That was okay but what wasnt when I buned my foot on the HOT TAR!! These idiots dont call you or reschedule anything. Instead of just having plaque psoriasis now I have a burnt foot. What is her name would not see me b/c I was complaining about my foot and it was burnt. Now I have a nice burn on the bottom of my foot. Went to see this dumb bell a plaque psoriasis, instead I end up with a severe burn on my foot. Also, we noticed there were NO PATIENTS IN THE WAITING!! Guess they are in desperate need of patients!! Please check out the reviews on this dermatologist before going. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY TYPE OF TREATMENT DUE TO HER STUPIDITY. IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE SHE IS ACTUALLY A DOCTOR. HER STAFF IS COMPLETELY INCOMPENTED JUST LIKE SHE IS!! Her staff is unprofessional and they dont care what your problem!! Read the reviews before going to this idiot!! I would like to advertise Brownstone Dermatology and how they treat their patients especitally after they cause someone injury @ 530 Walton Avenue in Hummsellstown, Pennsylvania. You should see my feet. They are burnt on the bottom and I can hardly walk on them. Medical Advisory Board is becoming more appealing. I have filed a compliant with Highmark and they will be investigating this so-call-dumbatologist!!! she was just so thoughtful and caring about her patient. Funny thing is we were the only patient in her office. People probably had to be rushed to to the hospital to find a competent dermatologist!

Dont go here--incredibly unprofessional. I called in June when I discovered a very suspicious mole that fit all the criteria of bad news. The receptionist was rude, but took all my information, including name, date of birth, health insurance numbers, phone number, and home address. I couldnt be seen until October. I explained the history of cancer in my family. She said if they had a cancellation I might get in earlier. I asked, how will I know if you have a cancellation? She told me I could call in EVERY DAY and ask them. I asked her incredulously if she couldnt just call me instead, when SHE found out that she had a cancellation. She said no. So yesterday I showed up 20 minutes early for my appointment, just in case I had paperwork to fill out. The appointment had been cancelled by them because the DR was out sick. She explained that she didnt call to tell me because I had never given them my telephone number. I told her that indeed I had, along with all the other required information when scheduling an appointment. She told me that I could be seen by the physicians assistant in the next few days, but she couldnt assure me that the PA could do the surgery needed. I walked out, and now have to find care elsewhere. After reading their reviews on multiple other sites, I am not at all in the minority.

I am very light skinned and freckled. Because of this, I started going to Dr. Cassel yearly for cancer checks. She detected a clump of freckles that was suspicious. She initially removed the patch and sent it to her lab. Results turned out that the area was indeed cancer; melanoma. She cut a 5" area of skin and tissue from my forearm which was deep and wide and left me aghast!! Test results stated all melanoma cells were gone. On followup, she assured me the area would heal with minimal scarring. I returned for checkups every 3 months and followed her instructions for taking care of my scar to the letter! After 2 years, I remain cancer free and the 5" scar that was VERY visible at onset, is just a thin sliver that is a straight line, with no lumps or questionable areas. Dr. Cassel, in my opinion, is not only an excellent dermatologist but also an artist in her surgery. I will continue with her yearly for cancer checkups and any other skin needs.

I am disappointed to see these other reviews. Finding a dermatologist without a very long wait list for new patients in our area is unheard of. So, their experiences with long wait lists- even with suspicious moles- is nothing out of the ordinary across the board for dermatologists. It took me a while to get in to see Dr. Cassel too. It took a lot of calling. Despite the wait, my experience with Brownstone Dermatology has been very good. Dr. Cassel is knowledgable, calm and very professional. She takes the time to explain things if you have questions. Once you are a patient, the scheduling process is not a problem. I have only very nice things to say about Brownstone Dermatology and Dr. Cassel.

My allergist sent me here to have chemical testing done for chemical allergies. Did they listen to the Doctor No they went off and did something altogether that they werent supposed to even do. I kept telling them what I was here for and did they ever listen no. These people are just a waste of money and time. Ill never want to go here again. They did a test and my family doctor already had the diagnosis but they didnt believe what my doctor had to say. Personally I think they like to waste peoples money. I am very dissatisfied with this place and dont know how its being run properly.

Initial visit went well even though there was an excessive wait time even though I arrived early. The staff booked my next appointment a month out but I received a call a week before my next appointment to be informed that the dermatologist has left the practice and they will have to reschedule me 3-4 months later. Even though they had more dermatologists on staff they didnt seem to care or want to try to better accommodate their clients. We were just being shoved to the back of the line.

I d not understand the complaints. Yep, this is a very busy office. The doctor is in practice alone....meaning the only doctor. Maybe the complainers would like to try and get in to the Hershey Medical center Dermatology. Its a minimum of a three month wait with a resident.

The PA, Jessica, is very knowledgeable and professional. She has always been very understanding of any worries that I may have and I can always get an appointment here without a problem. Quality people & quality care, thank you!

Called to change an appointment due to work conflicts. I have to wait another 3 MONTHS to try and get a yearly check over. Half the girls that answer the phone are extremely curt/ rude other times they are pleasant.

I had great experiences here a little expensive but usually every speciality is. It is easy to get appointments here as well especially with the PAs.
