I am extremely comfortable trusting my pets to the care of Dr. Hamid and Dr. Blair at Southeast Georgia Vet Clinic. Recently, Dr. Hamid & her assistant, Taylor, made a house call to my house to assess my beloved 18 year old mixed retriever, Reno. I knew Reno was in a bad way & it was probably time to help him on his final journey. I just didnt want to know it in my heart. I wasnt ready to let him go. Reno was my constant companion. I loved him fiercely. He hadnt been eating much for several weeks & couldnt get up by himself. Reno had arthritis & had back surgery in 2014. He was like the battery bunny - he just kept going. It didnt appear to me nor my husband that he was in pain - he was walking after we helped him up, his bowel & kidneys were working, he was drinking, but not eating much. I was providing care & comfort to him. I wanted him to die peacefully in his sleep. I called Dr. Hamid to make a house call to assess Reno because his eyes had given me an expression that told me he was tired & was trying as hard as he could to live, but he wasnt able to feel good anymore. Dr. Hamid came the next day to assess Reno. She was kind, gentle & caring - she examined Reno carefully & slowly. She told me what I expected & was trying to be ready to hear. Renos gums were not pink, he had no muscle mass & she told me he was masking his pain. Dr. Hamid gently explained it would be merciful to help Reno begin his final journey & explained how she would do that. I agreed & thanked her. Dr. Hamid & Taylor stepped out of the den to give me time to say my farewell to my loyal companion. She told me to take as much time as I needed before she gave Reno the sedative to be followed by the final injection. After she administered the sedative she again left me alone with my Reno with instructions to love him as much as I wanted. My husband wanted to say his farewell to Reno, but he was in important meetings at work & couldnt get to the telephone. When the sedative began working, Reno relaxed & appeared so peaceful. I suddenly realized I hadnt seen him look so relaxed in a long time. I called for Dr. Hamid to come back in. She was about to give Reno the injection when my phone rang. It was my husband calling to say his farewell. I put the phone on speaker so he could give his love to Reno. Renos eyes blinked so we know he heard my husband. Dr. Hamid said that was surely a Divine Intervention. I agreed, it was. She then administered the injection with me holding my Reno. His heart beat only three more times. Dr. Hamid said this was a sure sign that my Reno was tired & ready to go because usually the heart continued to beat another 2 or 3 minutes. She gave me more time with Reno alone. My tears were flowing. Dr. Hamid hugged me several times during the process & also gave me verbal comfort. When I was ready we wrapped Reno in his own blanket & a beautiful white bedspread Dr. Hamid brought. Reno went with Dr. Hamid back to the clinic so he could be picked up for cremation. I will get his ashes back with some of his hair & a paw print. I am blessed & thankful for Dr. Hamid, Dr. Blair & their staff to provide care for my fur children. This isnt the end of this comment though. One of my cats, Gypsy Diva Queen had been urinating outside of her litter box & I feared she might have a urinary tract infection. Dr. Hamid took her back to the clinic with Reno to evaluate her. I called at 4pm as requested & yes, she did have a urinary tract infection & some irritation to her lady parts as well. My husband picked our Diva Queen Kitty up & got instructions for the medication Dr. Hamid sent home. It has been one week today & Gypsy has completed her antibiotic & feels much better. She has not urinated outside her litter box again! What a wonderful veterinarian Dr. Hamid is! I appreciate Dr. Blair just as much! Their staff is awesome, kind and caring also! Dr. Hamid’s genuine compassion and kindness will not be forgotten.

Do you ever wish that people were more like your pets? Well, at SE GA Vet Clinic they are! We have been bringing our dog Winston here, since our old vet retired, on the recommendation of a friend. We love that appointments are easy to make, they happen on time, and everyone REALLY listens to all of our concerns (even my crazy ones.) They have great Wellness Plans, with monthly payments, that you may participate in. We chose one that includes a yearly dental cleaning that has become a stress-free issue for both of us (dog and mom.) He now has a beautifully clean underbite smile! Winston has also boarded at their kennel several times. We know they took great care of him, because he about lost his mind each time we picked him up! And, of course, SE GA Vet Clinic is tech friendly. They have an easy-to-use app where you can keep all your pet info handy, and in one place. Do I sound like a commercial? Well, Winston is important to us, and we appreciate a vet (and staff) who feels the same way. When we were looking for a new vet we were worried, because we wanted to continue on with the kind of care we had been used to. (We didnt want someone selling us certain products or foods, or pushing unnecessary treatments or chemicals.) SE GA Vet has done a wonderful job of showing us just how important Winston is to THEIR family, too. Now, Winston would like to pay it forward to any other pet in a similar circumstance.

I am never unhappy when using you guys as a veterinarians office. My dog is considered an "aggressive breed" by a "list" (that I still have yet to be informed about who made or what government Branch signed off for it to be validated), but you guys tray him like part of a family. I usually bring him in, and if my schedule doesnt allow it, the people that take him have always complimented your office as 5 star - clean, professional, thorough, and friendly. I wouldnt have my dog if it werent for the awesome staff at your office, because he had an emergency procedure a few years ago - and anywhere else would have made me make an appointment - you guys understood that I was concerned and he needed attention, and saved his life. I live 15 miles away, and still recommend your office. People always argue that there are vets less than a mile away - I would travel 50+ miles to go sonewhere that I trust, rather than somewhere nearby that I dont.

I used this vet years ago when my cat was attacked by a pit bull. They where in a meeting and I called when I got to the front door. I was in tears when I saw the sign that said closed for meeting I called anyway and told the girl what was going on. Two seconds later I had a rush of veterans racing out to the car all for my fluffy.I really thought I was going to lose him. They had to put a metal rod in his hip to replace the shattered parts. They not only saved my cat but neutered him too at no extra cost. I think thats the correct term. I use them now for my little Pomchi Pocco. I love I can buy his flea and heartworm on a monthly basis instead of sinking over a 100 dollars for 6 months supply. Great staff. I cant say enough good things about the ppl that work their. In closing this review my cat is still alive that happened about 10 years ago.
