In our 12 years of owning pets (we have lived in 3 states and have had our animals at six different clinics in that time) Deerwood is unfortunately, by far, the worst. I called them a week before dropping my dog off for boarding and asked for an estimate for four days of care. I was told $88. I verified (TWICE) that my dog was up-to-date on all of his vaccination records (they had seen him a few days prior specifically to update all of his shots FOR the boarding) and when my husband dropped him off, was told hed need another shot before boarding ($38 + $6.90 "hazardous waste disposal")...Amber the manager thinks this is perfectly acceptable to drop this on us at drop-off because its "procedure" even though they failed to mention it a week prior when I specifically asked about an estimate. THEN, I was told by Debby that a bath was included in his stay but nope, another $36.50 charge appeared on our bill when my husband picked up our dog. Again, Amber the manager said that because he didnt pitch a fit about this cost in person (He has been overseas for 3 months and wanted to wait until he got home to talk to me) that the clinic was "perfectly in the right" and that they "made no mistakes." When my husband came home with the bill, I immediately called the clinic and spoke to Jill. She asked me to repeat myself more than four times and kept reading back my information incorrectly. I began to get frustrated and asked to speak to the manager (Amber). Jill became angry and hung up on me. An hour passed with no call from the manager so I called back to check. Jill answered and told me with a snotty tone that the manager wasnt in the office today. And hung up on me for a second time. I finally got a hold of Amber a day later and she told me shed call me back that day (Wednesday) and I waited three full business days until MONDAY and finally called her again. She offered no apology for the delay, got angry with me too, said things like "I dont have to listen to this" and also hung up on me. Im sorry, but if I ask how much were going to pay A WEEK PRIOR to my dogs boarding and am quoted $88 AFTER they had updated all of my dogs shots at their clinic and then we receive a bill for $178.84 and you believe youve done absolutely nothing wrong and you offer no apology -- you should not be allowed to be in business. You are unethical, you are taking advantage of people, and you should be ashamed.

Deleted the last 5 star review and previous choice of words because after the 3rd visit we learned how horrible this place is. Inconsistent charges although each visit was for the exact same thing (cat diagnosed with diabetes). They dont honor appointment times and the treatment was ineffective. Our cat will probably die because they sucked up what little money we had and we got absolutely nothing in return. No improvement what so ever. Now were saving to start over someplace else and hopefully the cat doesnt die beforehand. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!

I will forever sing the praises of Dr. Williams and the entire staff of Deerwood Animal Clinic. Theyre consistently wonderful every visit. From minor colds to check ups to surgeries, weve been through it all with them and we will never go anywhere else. Highly recommend!

After going to 3 other vets with my cat who had been having digestive issues Deerwood was the 1st ones who actually did a real exam and figured out his problems. He is now healthy and happy and it is all thanks to Deerwood Animal Clinic.

Needed to get a stray kitty checked to see if she had a chip. The staff was great. Tested and treated the kitty with such love and care. Highly recommend using the vet and staff here for your pets care!:)
