I have nothing but great things to say about this place! I had an absolutely horrible experience with an orthodontist as a child that led me to avoid the dentist for years. After roughly 15 years of avoiding the dentist I had a toothache so bad that I had to see someone. I did the research and found out through other reviews that Dr O’Leary was amazing with children so I figured this was my best bet. Jeanie, the receptionist, is the kindest most welcoming person and that means a lot when youre entering a place you are terrified of. She is very accommodating and walked me through the entire process both procedure and financially. Family Dentistry doesnt do oral surgery (I needed a root canal) but they referred me to someone who could work with my anxiety level and I couldnt have been more pleased. Since my root canal I have been back for my crown and build up and then for two separate sub-gum cleanings to begin my road back to healthy teeth. Every time I am there everybody is very kind, and will literally hold my hand through the simplest of procedures. The two hygienist I have worked with were Lynn and Jaysen. Both are at the top of their game in my opinion. This office is like none Ive ever experienced, they offer blankets, glasses for light sensitivity, headphones, TV, and even squeeze toys for gripping. Other dentists only offer laughing gas if you pay for it but they do it for free if you feel it will help. My husband and I are planning to move out of the area but will be making the trip up here for my visits now that I dont need my husband to take to each and everyone. I really cant thank them enough for being such a big part of working through my fears and recommend them to anyone with anxiety, fears, small kiddos, and just about everyone I plan on ever meeting. I cannot say enough good things about Dr Oleary and her staff. First off, my daughter has had several bad experiences going to the dentist. We usually leave without being seen or with me doing the dental work needed since I was the only one who she let put anything in her mouth. Trust me, Ive had a crash course in putting sealants on her teeth. Normally most appointments end superficially with her terrified and in tears and me embarrassed. When she was having tooth discomfort I was cringing at the thought of taking her in but I knew I had to. I called on a whim while sitting at Chevron across the way and they said "just come over". We did and were seen right away. It sounds so cliche but from the moment we walked in they were very nice and welcoming. The staff put us both at ease. I spoke with the Dr briefly before she went in and told her about our past visits. She was so understanding and comforting. I have told other professionals and they rolled their eyes or turned us away and said she was just too scared to be seen. NOT DR OLEARY! She said not to worry and sat with her showed her everything along the way. Turns out there were cavities. (oh the horror - haha) and we needed to come back. I thought my daughter would never want to go back but she did! The best part for her was that at the end she got to pick out a treasure before leaving. Every time we pass by she wants to go to the dentist. Financially, we paid cash for visit. They have several options for people who are paying cash. I have been telling everyone I know about our visit. I highly encourage you to choose Family Dentistry at Hawks Prairie for your dental needs.

Dr. Oleary is a great dentist both to adults and kids. Shes very gentle and talks you through the whole process regardless if its just a simple check up, and regardless if your a child or a grown up. I also appreciate that she engages the kids to take their mind of feeling anxious. My daughter is super scared of needles and getting shots, she will cry and fight you off at the sight of needles. Being at Dr. Oleary was the first time Ive seen her without putting up a fight when she got her anesthetic injected in her gums, mind you shes very curious and attentive at whats being brought close to her body and getting injected in the gums usually hurt more than immunization shots on the arms. Dr. Oleary did a great job making her feel at ease. Front desk ladies are the best! Very friendly, accommodating and cheerful! They will answer any inquiries you have to the very best of their abilities and they have helped me arrange payment arrangements in order to have my deep cleaning done. Dental crew are great as well. Tamsyn is my favorite hygienist! She is very thorough! She makes sure she gets whatever needed to get done and does an excellent job! I have been with family dentistry for over 2 years now, and although I live closer to lakewood dentists I wouldnt go anywhere else!

I have been going to this dentist over for over 5 years now, every 6 months and have never had a bad expirence. The ladies at the front desk are always so welcoming and friendly and the waiting area is always kept very clean and organized. Every single dental assitant Ive ever had has been awesome. Theyre profesional, friendly, and genuinely seem interested in how you are doing and how life has been since the last time they saw you. On top of that you can see that this crew is passionate about their work. They are family friendly and really know how to work with kids who might not enjoy going to the dentist as much. None of us do, but they make the expirence much better. In addition they all have knowledge about Braces, which really helped when I had them on for about 2 years because they knew exactly how to clean my teeth with them on, and were even able to help me out when I had a loose bracket. This is a well trained and profesional team, and you can really see that the Doctor made some wise choices with who she hired to help run her office (who by the way is one of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet). I will continue to go here as theyve taken care of me and my teeth for 5+ years now, and I have no plans to leave. Great office and great people!

One of the Best Experiences I have ever had at a dentist!!! I didnt have a dentist at the time and on Tuesday 05/23/17 I made a phone call to see if I could get seen for some tooth pain. They got me in that very day. I mentioned I was pregnant and 34 weeks along. They still said they could see me and would do everything thats was safe for me and baby. When I got to the office for my appointment I was greeted by friendly faces. They got me back to see Dr. OLeary. She is honestly one of the sweetest woman I have ever met. She is so caring and listens to what was exactly going on with my tooth pain. They took just one x-ray to find out what was going on. She noticed immediately that I had to have a emergency root canal. She sent me to a specialist to have the root canal done. I didnt even have to make that appointment, the office handled it all for me. They even called me to see how the root canal went and how I was feeling. I just went in today for my temporary crown. I honestly have never felt like I was in the best of hands until now! (I am one who has always been so afraid of the dentist, but not at Family Dentisry) I feel so well taken care of here at Family Dentistry at hawks prairie! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
