Went with my husband at 4:15 earlier this afternoon to help him get re-established on his diabetic medication that he has not been taking for the last two years due to lost of job and health insurance in February 2014. We first spoke with a medical assistant named Terri May, who has no personality. After she took my husbands information, she told us that there was an unpaid balance of over $300.00 from services back in 12/31/2014. There were notes of received payments on file, but my husband has records of paying a balance of $388 in payments of $50 automatically deducted from his bank account for six months as the original agreement. He had money in his account in October 2015, but Patient First never withdrew the payment. My husband never called to check on the status because he was under the assumption that the bill was paid in full. I cant believe that we have to owe more money when the payments that were being made suddenly stopped without explanation. I am very disappointed and will probably never go to Patient First ever again. BTW, tell your staff to not be so serious because I felt very uncomfortable.

I have had past not so great experiences with this Patient First and dreaded going. Extremely long wait times, lack of urgency, and lack of bed side manner. HOWEVER, this visit was great! They helped me when my regular physician couldnt. They were speedy and bed side manner was excellent. They even called me a few days letter to check on me. I had to call last night to see if I could get a prescription without coming in. The nurse I spoke to was extremely nice and caring and I was able to get my prescription within a couple minutes. 30 minutes before Patient First closed. Im not sure if there is new management or new staff but whatever change was made was for the best and Im more inclined to visit here first before going to my regular physician who is across town.

Slow slow slow. I needed a physical and a th test for work, and go figure insurance wouldnt cover it so I paid. I got seen by the nurse fast but then when she sat me in the room for the doctor, I waited about 45 minutes. Ridiculous. Then all was done. I went back to get the results and waited about an HOUR in the waiting room.. to do something that takes 5 minutes. Then I was informed they had lost one of my forms that I needed back for mg new job. I has to tell them over and over I had TWO forms. I loved hearing all of the unprofessional conversation from the staff. Terrible place, I will never come back or recommend to anyone.

I came in with pretty serious anxiety and couldnt wait until the next day to see my PCP. The doctor that treated me said some things that really resonated with me and even though Im still an anxious mess, she made me feel less upset with myself for being so overwhelmed right now. Ive had a lot going on lately and its gotten to be a bit much, but she spoke to me on a real human level, rather than at me for being such a stressed out mess, and I really appreciated what she had to say about my situation and the good example I set for my kids by showing them its ok to ask for help, if youre in need of support.

On the Sunday after Thanksgiving, I was super sick. Patient First performed an x-ray (in house) and drew blood (analyzed it in house as well). They moved me ahead because I was so ill. The doctor determined I had double pneumonia. They even were able to issue a strong antibiotic as I checked out. Where can you get one stop health care except at Patient First? By developing x-rays and blood work in house, you have an accurate diagnosis. Instead of sitting in Walgreens for 45 mins. waiting for a prescription to be filled. I think they do a great job!

My husband and I waited for over 2.5 hours for a follow up visit for a workers comp visit to get 4 stitches removed. Currently still waiting... will we hit the 3 hours mark? The world may never know. The front desk staff was friendly but the nurses were rude. Definitely wont be coming back to this location. Not even sure if Ill ever visit a patients first ever again. EDIT: We ended up waiting for 3 hours. When the doctor finally came in, he didnt even put gloves on as a sanitary precaution. That is pretty concerning.

Currently at mechanicsville location. I got here between 8:30-8:45am... Still waiting to see a doctor at 10:12am. On the bright side I know all about the nurses dishwashers from their personal conversations ... Update: A few moments before my above post I opened the curtain to my room to go to the bathroom. I left it open when I returned as I leaned against the wall waiting due to pain from sitting... doctor arrived shortly after. Perhaps staring at them through an open room encourages a speedier response?

I have been coming to this location in Mechanicsville for many years now. I have found it to be a very pleasant experience and the staff, nurses, lab techs and doctors have shown great care and concern for their patients. They have always listened to my concerns and therefore have been able to treat me sucessfully. Keep up the good work, continue to love and show compassion and care for your patients as we pass through those doors.

Ive went to Patient First on 2 occasions. I am well pleased with the speed and professionalism of the staff. PF offers many services, from lab, x-ray, to prescription, etc... Receptionist offered to forward records of visit to my general practitioner. Would defiantly recommend for basic care needs. Had minor problems with billing of insurance. Not sure if it was PF or my insurance but got it resolved with minor effort.

I brought my youngest (8yo) and a week later my husband brought our oldest (11yo) both for strep. I was shocked at how quickly we got checked in, and how quickly we got out of there! Even though both visits were quick, the doctors both spent quality time making suggestions to me for care, and hand washing reminders to the boys. The doctors were also VERY good with the kids. LOVE this place and the care we received!!

I showed up at 4:15 for a refill for an inhaler and blood pressure medication. Its now 6:30, an hour and 10 minutes after they put me in the examination room. Ive watched them pass by the room, and got the usual "Well get to you in a moment, sir..." when they noticed my patience was wearing thin. The appropriate name should be closer to "Patients Eventually, After Personal Conversations Are Wrapped Up".

Tonight I was cared for by excellent and friendly staff and I could tell they were addressing my needs as fast as reasonably possible. Probably one of the biggest pluses is how someone updated me on where I was at in line to see the doctor. It helps a lot with customer satisfaction. My meds were filled in just a few minutes and the staff didnt seem agitated that the time had gone past closing.

I recently saw Dr. Christopher Jones at this Patient First location and he was awesome. Very friendly, personable, and compassionate; and he spent an adequate time with me in order to explain what was possibly happening. I really appreciated it because I have had bad experiences with other doctors at this location. Thank you Dr. Jones for doing what you love. It shows and it makes a difference.
