Our Infant was released from the Hospital on Sunday May 8th with a BilliRubin count of just under 10 with instructions to follow-up with Pediatrician on Monday. We saw that Dr Garcia had mostly good reviews and as my wife is Spanish; we wanted someone bi-lingual. We went to see him on Monday May 9th and what a terrible experience for 3 day old infant. First, the sick kids were playing in the well room and the parents and staff did not care to correct this. The office was extremely cold and the infant was placed un-dressed on a cold scale that was located by the door for the sick children. When Dr Garcia entered the room; he stated that he was not concerned with the BillRubin levels and would follow-up in a week. He was more concerned lecturing us that our dogs are not human and animals kill children. Extremely unfriendly and unprofessional. Needless to say; we went to Pediatric Care Alliance the following day and they have professional staff and office. The sick and well rooms are spaced apart adequately and they have an newborn room. Whitney the RN there was amazing and gentle with our infant and Dr Bowers had the concern and obviously the training and knowledge of the issues with BillRubin and obviously took the time to look at the pediatrician notes from the hospital as they took blood for the BillRubin test. At 3:30 PM that afternoon on Tuesday; Dr Bowers called and stated that the levels went from 9.5 when released from Hospital to 18 and she made the arrangements to get our infant son admitted to Brandon Regional Hospital where he was admitted for 2 nights of treatment. Our infant son reached critical levels in one day and thankfully; Dr Bowers had the training, knowledge, or just cared enough to perform the test that Garcia failed to even consider even when we asked and requested. If we waited a week for our follow-up with Garcia; our infant son could have sustained liver damage, brain damage or this could have even been fatal. Maybe we caught him on a bad day; but his lack of concern and commitment to our infant was abundantly clear. He placed an infants life in jeopardy because he was being lazy? Unconcerned? Disinterested? Untrained? A simple blood test can save a childs life and heart ache for the parents; yet this person that claims to be a caring doctor took no reasonable action to ensure the safety and well-being of our infant son. BEWARE this man. PS: Our dogs love the infant and did not try to kill him as Garcia insisted they would do. As a grown man and woman; we find it extremely offensive and belittling with the stance that this so called Doctor took. What trained professional tells parents with a newborn to consider getting rid of your dogs as they will kill babies.

At this office you can never call right when they open. Even thought it says they open at 8:30am, when you call at 8:30 or 8:40am It will ring all the way to voicemail because I think they are never ready to open on time. On a Saturday morning my daughter broke out with red dots all over her body! I freaked out and called her doctor, Dr. Garcia to tell him and find out what I should do. But the phone at doctors office went right to voicemail several times and I called after hours line for emergencies and that line went to voicemail. I left a voicemail and sent a text message of whats going on and a picture. Dr. Garcia never called me all day Saturday and as the spots were getting worse, more bigger and swollen and hot I decided to take my daughter to Urgent Care. Urgent Care gave her a Steroid shot because she was having an allergic reaction. We went home and Sunday she was looking better. Spots were slowing disappearing and some little spots were reappearing and still no call back from her primary doctor! Monday morning came and my daughters spots were coming back so I took her back to Urgent Care because I felt more better going there seems how they are the ones who seen her during her breakout. Dr. Garcia had a problem with this because they were open and they did not want anyone else seeing my daughter. Well long story short. I reached out to this doctor when I needed him and his office was closed and his emergency line was inactive. When I thought this doctor was here for the best interest in my daughter I was wrong! He neglected my daughter. Never called me back to check on her at all and gave me attitude for bring her to Urgent Care asked me if I would like my daughters records sent to that Ugrent Care office. And when I complained to Medicaid about how I feel he neglected my daughter and he doesnt have an emergency line open. Dr. Garcia got notice of this complaint and then discharged my daughter via letter!

Dr. Garcia has always been 100% accurate in regards to his diagnosis of my son each time my son has had to see him for an issue, and has always made my son comfortable as quickly as possible. If you need him on the weekend or after hours, you are given a number to text or call him on his cell directly. They take a photo of your child in the office so that he remembers your child if you have to call during off hours. You do sometimes have to wait a little longer for an appointment, but it is completely understandable and completely worth it! I would wait for however long he needed me to, because he really does give each child the individual care that your child needs. Plus, it is just him in the office, so you know that every time your child goes to the doctor, he sees the same Dr. each and every time, which I really like because he knows my sons history entirely. He is extremely knowledgeable and to give you an example of what I mean by that, my son and I both were sick with the same illness. My own doctor couldnt even tell me what was wrong with me, but then when I took my son into see Dr. Garcia the next day, he not only was able to diagnose my son correctly, but he explained that I was probably dealing with the same thing and recommended that my Dr. re-examine me for the same thing, and sure enough, Dr. Garcia was right! It was very reassuring knowing that he is always right. I am very thankful that we have a Dr. like him to care for our one and only baby boy. As an overly worried new mommy, its very important to know your baby is comfortable and in good hands. They also never hound me about billing and always are willing to work with me, which is the main reason in which I left the other healthcare provider we were with to go to him. Id HIGHLY recommend him to any of my family and friends and have already done so.

I recently moved from Miami to Tampa.. and I was looking for pediatricians near me, I read some bad reviews about this place but I decided to give it a try.. IM SO GLAD I DID.. I love it, my daughter usually gets scared or bored when going to the doctor, so I figured why not look for a place where my daughter can play while we wait.. not only they have games, but TV with cartoons and Disney movies... but most importantly, they have separate waiting rooms, sick kids go to a different waiting room, and the kids that only go for a check up stay in a separate one, you can still see the thru tho!. But I find this amazing, why worry about your child getting sick if you are only going for a check up.. Another thing my daughter had a really severe eczema we took her to all different kinds of dermatologists and after 5 or 6 months of treatments she didnt get better, she got worse, her pediatrician in Miami kept sending us to different places, why couldnt she give me an answer?.. anyways I asked Dc. Garcia about it and he only said 2 things, allergies and the name of a cream... after 4 days of treatment my daughter no longer has a severe eczema. There is still a chance of it coming back, but thanks to him we got it under control. After every check up, your child gets a sticker, if your child has to get a shot, the nurse would play with your baby and hell never see it coming. Dc. Garcia did my daughters check up and like every 1 year old, she didnt want to open her mouth to check her throat, she wouldnt stay still, she was very scared and grumpy, but Dc. GARCIA played it right, he kept talking to her and played with her until she felt comfortable with him, he was great!... they are all very friendly and very helpful. I would defenetly recommend this place. Its very loving and it feels just like home.
