The facility is beautiful...thats where the good news ends. When we moved to Stafford we began using this hospital because of its close location. Ive never been overly impressed with this place concerning the vets or the techs, but I assumed we were spoiled by how great our last vets were. My dog was just spayed there and they were supposed to take care of her overnight. As soon as they were done they asked me to come get her because they were worried she was too crazy post operation and they were concerned she would hurt herself. Of course, being worried she was uncontrollably hyper from pain, I said yes and immediately went to get her. Not only was my poor dog not a danger to herself, there was NOTHING crazy or hyper about her behavior since she could BARELY move. I was confused and mad when I saw her and realized they flat out lied to me over the phone. I asked if the spay cost would be cheaper because I didnt board her overnight and they said no because the cost of "the package is the cost of the package." I asked if the cost remained unchanged, what kept them from telling everyone to come get their pets immediately so THEY wouldnt incur the costs of boarding but still account for the costs in their "package" (Sounds like a pattern based on another review). Ripoff. I have 4 small kids and 2 other dogs and had to now perform the job of post surgical care that I paid them to do. Furthermore, they did something to her throat during the surgery (probably breathing tube related) because she is now 2 weeks post op and WAILS every time she swallows. While I completely understand surgical complications occur, it would be nice to have the vet explain to me what the issue could be, give me some suggestions, or peak at her during a quick follow-up. After $400 and not speaking to a vet even ONE time post-op, I was informed that if I had any questions or concerns, I would need to make a separate appointment. Im done with that place. Horrible post surgical care and total ripoff.

DONT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE. I have had a decent experience with this facility until recently. The vets are very nice and do seem knowledgeable, but they are WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. My dog is 6 months and I recieved a verbal quote from one of their doctors to fix his cherry eye and to get him neutered-- The vet said it would be around $350 for the neutering and $175 for the eye. I decided to do one surgery at a time because I was running low on cash, figuring I would be paying around $350 for just his eye (including anesthesia and meds). I was charged OVER $600 for just his eye. I inquired as to why it was so expensive as my last quote was considerably lower, and the vet tech told me the doctor probably quoted me without anesthesia and medicine. Umm... OK. Why on Gods green Earth would you quote for a surgery without adding anesthesia and meds??? They totally misrepresented themselves and they take advantage of their clients. I will NEVER EVER EVER take another pet to this place again. If you love your pet and your wallet, for the love of God go somewhere else.

We have boarded our dog here several times but will not take our dog back to Aquia-Garrisonville again. My dog got her medical exam three weeks ago from our regular vet and we called Aquia-Garrisonville to board her for the past 12 days. Aquia-Garrisonville said our dog needed a flu vaccine and stool sample before being boarded there. So two weeks ago we paid $113.30 for the flu vaccine ($26), stool sample ($34.80) and medical exam ($52.50). After receiving the flu vaccine, Aquia-Garrisonville told us she ALSO needed a booster flu vaccine within a certain time period, which happened to fall inside the boarding period. We were not aware there would be a booster when we agreed to this. While our dog was boarded there, Aquia-Garrisonville charged us another $52.50 for the "medical exam" to administer the $26 booster shot. Total boarding cost for 12 days, including shots and fecal exam: $512.15. I will find another place that is more upfront about their practices.

TERRIBLE customer service, gross, small, crowded and unorganized facilities. We had our dog and cat taken care of for 6 years here - we didnt change vets b/c we were going to move anytime.....and I thought changing would take too much time/effort. Mistake. The vets themselves are caring and nice and see competant; however, the facilities themselves and the process of checking out/paying at the end is unbearable. You always wait for at least 20 minutes for your appointment (at LEAST 20 - usually more like 30-40 minutes) in an extremely small and crowded waiting area, then you go into a room and wait more (10 min.) then once you go out to pay the front desk "has to wait for your paperwork from the back" which can take another 20 minutes. The place you have to wait in is so small and crowded the whole experience is very frustrating. Even after commenting on their checkout process, they said thats just the way theyve always done it. Uh....OK. I do not recommend.

Our Visit was for two of our dogs ones was for a checkup and to pick one up from his neutering. The whole visit was 2 hours long. They informed me when I dropped off the dog for Neutering that he needed to stay overnight. When I came to pick him up at 7 the next day they were confused as to why I didnt pick him up the day before..... They also "didnt have time to give him his pain medicine" this infuriated me!!! Everything was disorganized and no one had great communication. It was also very expensive. $460 for his neutering..... we paid over $1,000 for this visit.... My husband also did not like how the finances of the company were being discussed with confusion out in the open, instead of in an office. I did not pay witness to that. The only thing that gave me comfort were the employees, it was the only good thing about this visit. They were all very nice and apologetic. The place looks awesome, but its obvious where the money is going.

I recently took my 2.5 year old Rottie in to be neutered. I am more then happy and satisfied with the treatment and professionalism of the staff. I work long hours, and was unable to be home constantly while the pup was convalescing, so I arranged to board him at AGAH. While there my furry kid received the best possible care and treatment. When I picked him up, he was cleaned and groomed, and very well cared for. One staff member in particular I owe a huge thank you too, Miss Erica. I ran in to her after hours, and asked her a few questions. She took the time out of her personal schedule to talk to me, and answer every question I had. Thank you from myself and Harley Boy Jameson to Miss Erica and the Entire Staff if AGAH.

We have been with Garrison Animal Hospital since 1999 they have been great with all of our animals. We have had the unfortunate experience of having a couple of our pets put down. They made the experience as good as it can be when losing a pet, they even sent us cards of sympathy because, to us our pets are our family. I have 5 dogs when I come in the staff know them all by name; I would say that, that is good customer service. Garrisonville is very busy; if you have a sick or injured pet they always have time for you. For as long as I have pets I will be a customer.
