So in November we learned that our dog Stan was in the process of kidney failure. Before the Memorial day weekend, Stan was really not himself so we took him into the office for a check. We learned from Dr. Eckert that Stans kidneys had really deteriorated since November and we eventually asked about the end of life process and what that would entail for Stan. Dr. Eckert related to us a personal story of her life where everyone ended up in tears and we went home that evening knowing that we would have to make a difficult decision over the holiday weekend. The hardest part of the decision is relinquishing something that provided so much benefit to us and that was our Stan. So we decided to do what was really best for Stan. We called the hospital that Tuesday or Wednesday and told them of our decision to euthanize Stan. Now we were really concerned about taking Stan to the office for this procedure since as soon as he got anywhere near the office he realized where he was and would begin to tremble and shake and we did not want to subject him, or more selfishly ourselves, to any more distress. We asked if it were possible for a doctor to come to the house for the procedure. Most thankfully, we learned that Dr. Miller was willing to do this. So on Friday, 2 June, Dr. Miller and Technician Susan came to the house and helped Stan cross to the other side. I cannot tell you or express in words how deeply grateful and thankful we were for this. Not only was Stan at ease but we were pretty much at peace over our decision and this was all on account of the empathy and sympathy of the doctors and technicians of Chambersburg Animal Hospital. And they took care too of having Stan cremated and returned to us. Again, we cannot compliment or more importantly thank the doctors and staff enough for all that they have done.

Okay so first off i should have written this review ALONG time ago! So first off i would like to thank Dr. Miller and the rest of the staff there. We had 3 rabbits which we though were all female but that turned out to be incorrect and one ended up being a male. So one of the two females had gotten pregnant. We finally noticed when she started nesting and preparing to give birth so we separated all of them. Turns out there was something wrong with the baby and it was too big for her to pass it. Dr. Miller was able to save our bunny by performing surgery to remove the baby. We also appreciate how willing they are to work with you and the suggestions for care they offered us. They genuinely care about the many pets that come through there door and that makes all the difference.

This is my Pestimonials to my favorite Vets in town. My dog Max was sick in March 2007 and I took him to Dr Lisa Azery. She served him so well, diagnosed him in couple minutes, We had to take him to Gaithersburg Hospital and he survived for 7 more years. She actually offered me to keep Max for several days, to watch him while I was at work. Recently we took him to Dr Tanya Miller and not only she took good care of him, she was with me through the whole process because I had to let him go. Dr Miller seems like a true animal lover and very compassionate Vet. I wouldnt say life is easy at present but Dr Miller explained me what Max was going through and that helped to make a decision.

My husband and I have been taking our four-legged children to Chambersburg Animal Hospital since 2006, when we moved to the area. We see Dr. Miller predominantly, but ALL of the doctors and their entire staff not only take great care of our pets but also of us when care becomes challenging or difficult decisions must be made. The time they spend on and the compassion they have with each visit is so much appreciated. We would not hesitate to recommend this hospital to anyone who has animals in his or her care.

Our sons cat was suffering with a toothache. His regular vet could not see him for over a week. In the meantime, the poor guy was suffering. I called our vets place, here, Chambersburg Animal Hospital and they got him in for this afternoon. I think my son is going to change Vets after this. Apparently his vets office is too busy and has too many clients if they can let an animal suffer for over a week. A great big Thank You to the staff and Vet at this location. I had appointment and was 5 minutes late because of a car accident that held up traffic. I was told that I had to reschedule when they werent even busy. Two cars in parking lot. I left my home early enough and would have been there 15 min early if not for the hold up. I mean come on 5 min and your not busy. Ill take my business elsewhere and told them that. She didnt care so makes me wonder how much they care about the pets that they treat .

I brought my one year old for a vaccination. It was her first visit so it also came with an exam. Dr. Chaplin was really compassionate and took his time to answer all my questions. My dog was nervous, so he got down on the ground and worked with her their. Very nice experience!

The staff is always pleasant here and treat both of my cats very well. The flow is quick and easy and I can have my cats seen before I have to go to work in the mornings and can fit me in for emergency appointments if need be, even with my crazy schedule.

Good doctors but felt uncomfortable with the staff. Always seemed like I was walking into a conversation I didnt belong in when just trying to check out or ask a question. My Guinea pig is better.

Pushy and expensive! You take your pet in for his rabies vaccine and between the tech and the vet you get bullied into 10 other shots and pills and chews and its all unnecessary!
