Ok so Countryside almost killed my dog when we first rescued her by not giving her the treatment she needed and saying that it was nothing more than fear from moving to a new home after being abandoned. Turns out when her conditions got worse they chose to give her too much treatment and made her hair turn grey but still did nothing to fix the problems at hand. By the time we got Countryside to release her files to, coincidentally, Dr. Oneil at Tuckahoe it was almost to late. She was weak and on her last limbs...If not for Oneil she would be dead. So I agree with back2thesouth and I will never return. Not to mention, my friend worked there and confirmed the unprofessionalism of Dr. Hunter and his incapability to run his business. Also he liked to "recycle" many things in his clinic which seems scary and dangerous just to save a quick buck on his end. They seemed to neglect humane society animals just because they were not as much of a profit as the other walk-in animals. As for your visit, consider it luck, and it will run out richmondborn.

A caring, responsive practice. We had a 13 year old rat terrier who seemed perfectly healthy, but ended up having cancer. Dr. OSullivan and Dr. Hunter took our late night calls, met us at the clinic afterhours to ease our dogs symptoms and provided great advice when we had to make the difficult decision to put our dog to sleep so he wouldnt suffer anymore. This practice so impressed me, as did these two doctors, that we will continue to use them to care for our animals. It is obvious that this practice is run by animal lovers, and I cannot understand the negative reviews. Anyone who really cares for their pet would be willing to spend what is appropriate to ensure the animal has a good quality of life. They are always upfront about the cost of procedures and charge very fair prices. We switched from another vet in the area that was not so honorable in what he charged and did. If you love your animals and want a vet that loves them as much as you, Countryside is the right place for you.

I currently have my sick kitty at the Countryside Vet Clinic, under the care of Drs Morgan and OSullivan. They have both taken the time to call me with updates and really gave me an extremely thorough explanation of tests/procedures and my cats status (I think Dr. OSullivan talked for 20 minutes straight!). Dr. Morgan especially seems very compassionate and made me feel at ease with leaving my cat in their care. Theyre also respectful of my need to manage my pets illness but in a cost-effective manner. The ladies at the front office have been very friendly as well and me feel at ease when I called to check in and they said they had my cat up front in the reception area with them.I really felt like he was in good hands and getting plenty of love & attention. Also, I was able to get my cat in for an appointment on the same day I called.

My first experience with Dr. Hunter and his team was over fifteen years ago with 2 kittens that adopted me. He treated them well and was very knowledgeable about disease issues that affected them over the years. I moved to the Southside, but would still take my cats and my wifes to see Dr. Hunter, especially with problems that other vets could not or were unable to diagnose their illness. His staff have been helpful and professional and display a passion for what they do. His practice has been involved with the local animal rescue organizations and has demonstrated a commitment to providing Quality Healthcare to the animals he and his associates treat.

Dr. OSullivan is phenomenal! There is a difference between someone just doing a job and someone being truly passionate about what they do. Dr. O Sullivan ALWAYS spends time with us at each visit. We never feel like we are being rushed, or like any of our questions are trival. He makes us feel satisfied and informed about our Dogs treatment. They are straightforward with diagnosis and provide honest treatment options. I guess one word to sum them up would be - TRUST. We adore Dr. OSullivan and all the assistants who care so genuinely for our furry baby.

My 2 year old Boxer named Buddy, has received great care at Countryside Vet Clinic. Last week Buddy was deathly ill and as I prepared myself to mercifully put him down, Dr. Johnson examined Buddy and said it wasnt Buddys time to go. Her surgical skills and comforting and encouraging bedside manner (to me!) went above and beyond what I had experienced before at other Vet Clinics close by in this community. Ive had 6 dogs of my own and 2 fosters since 1994, so Ive had plenty of experience with other vets. Countryside gets 5 stars in my book.

We started taking our dogs to Dr. Hunter 12 years ago. He and his friendly staff have provided routine care during that time and Dr. Hunter repaired an ACL injury for our older Cocker Spaniel. If we had not moved from the area for a few years we would not have trusted another vet to care for our pets. Everyone has his or her own reason for posting a review. Our motivation is to inform others of our experience and add to the vast majority of positive recommendations received by Dr. Hunter and the staff at Countryside Veterinary Clinic.

This vet is extremely poorly run and will scam you out of hundreds of dollars. They will not be upfront about costs, and then will hit you with a bill that is hundreds of dollars over what you were told and agreed to. Be sure to ask for a signed, printed invoice, prior to dropping your pets off. They also will not honor certificates from local adoption places. In addition, the owner will not meet with you to discuss when you have a complaint. They do not care about their clients or their reputation.

Dr. Hunter and his staff are caring, friendly, and always helpful. Dr. Hunter has been my Vet for well over 10 years and I would not go to any other practice. He has been with me through happy times and sad times with my dogs and has always shown respect and consideration for me and my dogs. Dr. Hunter is always available to answer questions and discuss the best and most appropriate treatment. Jane and the rest of the staff are incredible and I look upon them as my friends.

I would like to thank Dr. Lenher and her staff for helping me with my 100% uncooperative Husky. I had an end of the day appointment and ended up asking for more work on him than originally intended. Everyone worked late to get the job done and didnt mind doing so. The entire staff was patient and kind and couldnt have been more professional. Thanks for a job well done! Nanook and I appreciate it and he has healed perfectly!!!

Very honest and open. Though they were unable to save our sick cat, the doctor was very honest about the situation and did not try to sugar-coat it for me. I appreciated this since it helped me understand the situation most clearly. Prior to this incident, this clinic was great for doing laser surgery for front claw removal on both of my cats. I would, and have, recommended them to friends.
