I had an appointment booked for the afternoon, however, I received a phone call about coming in earlier. When I got there, not only was the room extremely full with barely anywhere to sit but I was sitting 40mins until my phone alarm went off for other priorities. I get up and asked when i would see the doctor both receptionist said within a half an hour. I asked them why would they suggest I come in at this time if I wouldnt be able to see anyone right away and they simply stated no one was here prior to me being on the way yet I asked everyone sitting in the waiting room and they stated they had been waiting for over an HOUR and a HALF. One man was even SLEEP. This is unacceptable and highly unprofessional. And I STILL HAVE NOT SEEN A DOCTOR! Never again.

Correction: zero stars. He is the absolute worst. I was seen by Dr. Brown for an allergic reaction that I was experiencing. He told me that he would like to take a blood sample to test for all allergies, which I authorized. When I came back for the results I found out that he tested me for allergies as well as a host of other labs including HIV, liver function and others that I NEVER AUTHORIZED. He was obviously trying to get more money from my insurance company by running unnecessary labs. With this one sample he told me I had rheumatoid arthritis or some sort of immunodeficiency disorder. I was crushed! I went to a specialist to find out that it was a false positive. Dr. Brown needs to stick to dermatology. Outside of that, hes a complete blockhead.

My only negative is that Dr Brown isnt a family doctor and cant be my all around doctor! He was so thorough and asked son many more questions than I expected from a dermatologist. He also looked into the possibility of an underlying cause instead of just treating the symptoms. All with a smile and friendly, relaxing conversation. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Brown.

My experience with Dr. Leon Brown and his team was excellent. His diagnostic was correct from the beginning and his in-office medical procedure was carefully planned and executed without any consequences. Dr. Brown dedicates time to interact and treat his patients with respect and attention and I strongly recommend him. I was also pleased with his staff assistance.

I agree with the posts regarding the unexplained (and inexplicable) wait time - I left after an hour or so since I had another appointment to get to - and hadnt received any info as to how long the wait might be. I can see how a cardiologist or a pediatrician might back up patients because of unanticipated emergencies - but a dermatologist seems a stretch.

Excellent Care! Have had problems with my skin for years and have never had better results. He is a definite "YES for people of color. My dark spots have disappeared and I have seen his work from my friends and coworkers (Latin, African American, Mediterranean, African, Indian). Awesome skin care!!

Definitely a far drive from VA. However this man worked miracles to treat my sons eczema. Worth the drive to see my son more comfortable.
